    Thank you for taking us along shopping at Costco. The prices were only a few dollars more than our local Sam's club. But, i would pay that to live in paradise. Cheers....

    It's always interesting to see what other Costcos are like. I don’t go too often because I once came down with a bad case of the hives after trying some samples. Yuck, very bad memories! Now, I just usually go during the holidays. Hope you and your beautiful family had a wonderful holiday week! And thanks for this vlog!

    Thanks for showing such a wide variety of items. I noticed some (e.g. shrimp) were comparabel whereas perishable items such as mily, were noticably more expensice. Sti;;, it seems from the prices I’ve seen in other stores in Hawaii (via video) Costco membership is a must have!

    Hi sister!
    Thank you for the tour of Costco! It’s always so much fun to see all of the great local products that you have, that we don’t. ☺️ I cannot believe that container of your local pineapple slices, sells for $9.99? We love Honeycrisp apples, and if I’m not mistaken, our cost is around the same, maybe a dollar less. Everything else seems to be about a dollar or two, less for us here in CA. I just purchased 2 packages of the panko shrimp, to add to our Oshogatsu spread, and I paid the same price.
    Just an FYI.....Those Italian breakfast sausages that are in the meat section-by the pork. Totally worth every penny. My family loves them! I freeze the packages, and pull them out, one at a time. I put two layers of tin foil onto a cookie sheet, set the oven temp to 350, and separate the sausages (they’re connected into two’s), I take my paring knife, and poke a couple of holes on top of each, so they won’t explode-Spray a little olive oil spray on top of the sausages, and bake them for about 30-35 minutes, turning, after about 20 minutes, to get a nice brown color. Also, the frozen Brazilian cheese bread (Brazi-Bites)-Ah-mazing!! They’re mochi-mochi, when you bite into them. I wish that we could get Redondo’s Arabiki sausages or Portuguese sausages, at our Costco. We have to go to our local Japanese market, that has a Hawaiian section, and everything is pretty costly.
    Thank you sister, thank you to your okasama, and I think I heard Taylor’s voice at the beginning. Thank you all for taking us on this fun Costco tour! ❤️

    It's more expensive in Hawaii for sure. I would have liked to see more of the Hawaii type foods like saimin, snacksl from Hawaii, char sui, kamabuko, etc. Thanks for sharing. 😋💜

    Hi Nickey! I am sorry...I don't have a Costco membership, so I can't give a cost comparison. But it's nice to see some of the things you have there. Once or twice a year, I visit our local Costco with a friend, and it's always so interesting. Sending lots of good wishes to you, your mother, and your family. :-)

      Hi Erin Uber! Costco just sucks the money out of me... we only have a Safeway and Costco in my neighborhood. Safeway is super duper expensive!

    • @erinuber2881
      @erinuber2881 4 роки тому

      @Niki Niki I agree 100% about Safeway! It's very expensive. I try to stay away from there. I like Costco, but it works better if you have a family. As a single person, everything is in such gigantic packages! There are so many tempting things there, though, it is true. Hang in there! Thinking of you.

    I can't believe how expensive tropical fruit is at Costco in Hawaii I'd have thought it'd be real cheap

    Do Costco in Hawaii sell fresh fruit and vegetables and uncooked meats? I have seen a dozen of these vids and yours is the first to show anything fresh.

    Your costco definitely carry more east asian foods than in silicon valley. Have not seen fresh Sun noodles except in Japanese markets. Also less crowded and we go when it opens on week days. There are people everywhere here.

    Yes nice relaxing video :) Unfortunately NZ doesn't have Costco, but I have been to the one in Australia, Sydney. There was $2 hot dogs and meat pies. Also pizza slices was sold there. It looked cheap as everything was sold in bulk there :)

    I live in the middle of the country and I just got back from Costco. Our bananas are only $1.39 for the 3 lb bunch. The rest of the produce that you showed was about $1 more then what we have here, except the pineapple. Your pineapple is much cheaper and we don't even have any this time of year. The other stuff is comparable to ours.

    Wow, I have never seen fresh mango slices or whole pineapples at my Costco in the SF Bay Area in California before. Or maybe I haven't looked very hard for these items before... ;D

    We don't have a Costco near us. But I thought the prices were similar to those in the grocery store. In fact I was surprised because I've always heard they were much higher. Pineapple was the same price as were a lot of other things. Not sure if others caught several products were in packs of more than one.

    I was doing good until you got to the pizzas, hot pockets and bagel bites. My son and I would eat them whenever he come over for the weekend. I started drooling girl. The fruit is a bit more expensive and so are the veggies but I'ld have to pay the price cause to me they're better than meat. I like tagging along with you and your mom. Thanks for the rundown on Costco Hawaii. 🙋🏻‍♀️👍🏻🤙🏻💙

    banana and pineapple is same in sf bay area. your watermelons are way more expensive. other stuff close, some things a little more than here. some of things you looked at were local and not available here.

    • @hawaiiguy1
      @hawaiiguy1 4 роки тому

      yeah, I believe the watermelons are from Sugarland Farms (Oahu)...so that tells you that even if local, farmers still have to pay more and have to recoup more than from out of Hawaii.

      Really?? I’m currently living in and from the Bay Area. I buy tons of bananas... the regular is $1.49 and the organic is $1.99. So interesting!

    Seems like it's a $1 more on most of the items than here in Southbay area of Los Angeles. Of course we don't have the Poke all the time. Costco in Torrance has it on Fridays.

    twice as much as it cost on mainland( Seattle) logistics is the reason, Your Hawaiian MATSON lines is just ridiculous as they cornered the shipping market on most stuff

    Pineapple is the same price. Are they from Hawaii or South America?

    • @nohbdyathme
      @nohbdyathme 4 роки тому +2

      Some come from Maui and some from Costa Rica. The majority of the pineapple products (dried pineapple, pineapple treats, etc.) oddly do not come from Hawaii but Thailand or Indonesia. I went to UH Manoa but I’m from the Bay Area.
