okay so, im not a makeup artist, but i am someone who does makeup a lot and for other people. i have tried to do aegyeosal on lots of people, but it doesnt suit everyone. however, it does suit twice. even if it seems too strong, i'd like to remember that the makeup artists probably do makeup mostly for stages, and stages and mvs need heavier stronger makeup. as well as the fact that twice smiles a lot during their mvs, performing, etc. and even in the interview clips in this vid, they are smiling/scrunching their eyes anyway. i personally think that the aegyeosal isnt a harmful, offensive, or bad makeup trend/beauty standard, so if we do wanna talk about toxic beauty standards/trends, we could definitely talk about how white/pale skin is the standard and how most korean brands feature very limited shades, 6 at most in most occasions, that dont suit even very lightskinned people like kpop idols. but that is another topic
In my opinion I actually think the unnaturalness looks kind of good also speaking in the sense that it makes them stand out more im pretty sure its on purpose most times the artist need to apply makeup that stands out and is different from other idols and I've never seen any other idol do their under eye fat like this so it makes them stand out and I think they should keep doing it

Not only aegyo sal but the whole makeup is a mess😭 twice really need a better makeup artist like pony syndrome
One of the reasons they exaggerated the makeup it's the lights, the stages it's usually very bright so if they use too natural makeup it's going to disappear literally lol, so it depends of the occasion
I never noticed this tbh I still feel they look beautiful actually I have heard many people prefer Twice makeup alot more than other GG's now that I am actually watching this video I agree this can be avoided because now Twice do more mature concepts but they all still looks beautiful and elegant

I’m learning to do Twice makeup look because it looks so chic, unique, fresh, trendy and enhances facial features a lot.
It looks the best especially when you have natural big eyes with big eyeballs like Twice.

Yesss!! Thank you! I have noticed this forever and it always makes me uncomfortable lmao, that fake aegyosal is really unnatural and looks so bad, also their blush oh my, don't get me started with the blush, I hope their makeup artist/s do better.
Only Jihyo seems to not be that highlighted
as a once, I must say that TWICEs especially Nayeon & Tzuyu makeup looks are quite underwhelming
Fr they don't even blend well Nayeon's blush. 😭 And Tzuyu doesn't need that much on her face. She already has them all.

Actually aegyo sal is supposed to be noticable even if u dont smile.I have a very noticable aegyosal and its just there even when I dont smile.
I saw a photo of Sana very close at the Cry For Me stage, her "aegyo sal" looked very exaggerated... she didn't look cute anymore... It seemed like her pretty eyes were too puffy.

i guess it's because that makeup is for stage performance. that's why it looks a bit too much.
all performers stage make is usually much much darker it is just because of the lights.
stage lights are sooooo strong if you've ever stand on the stage you would understand it ( i have in the past as an stage actor) but it is super strong lights.
with that kind of lights, if you do make up normally, your face just literally dies. you would look like you have zero makeup on, and audience can not really see their facial expressions.
