I'm child-free and I've had very little pushback from both mine and my partner's loved ones. Most of the time I say yeah we don't want kids and people don't take issue with it. If they ask why, it's more of a curiosity or wanting to understand. I've never had to battle or argue with anyone over it. The online childfree "community" just feels so combative and aggressive.
I can understand it, if they had some kind of life where they were pressured/expected to have kids ever since they themselves were kids, and they just don't want to hear about it. It is probably triggering for them to have anyone even mention kids to them lol, they get worked up over it but I can see some scenarios where people may act this way. On the other hand, it could just be some kind of delusion like gangstalking syndrome. They feel like they're being discriminated on, when in reality they may have just smelled bad or bombed the interview with stupid answers. It wouldn't be the first time false accusations were made.
I'm glad you've had supportive family, not everyone has that. As a Hispanic woman, my immediate and extended family have told me that I'm going to die alone, that i should at least have a kid to know what it feels like, and that they deserve to see me have children. I've never wanted kids and the only people who understand and dont ask me when im going to start trying to have kids are my bf's family and my closest friends. I've even had acquaintances tell me that I'm going to get uterus cancer from not having kids.
I left that community a short while ago. I dont have anyone in my life that's okay with me not having children so i was so thrilled when i found a place where people went through the same things and understood how much it sucks to be looked down on because you dont want the typical 2.5 kids but honestly, they take it too far. A lot of CF people there take issue with kids existing at all. There's also the fact that they gatekeep the term to an insane degree. They get so angry if you call yourself CF but wouldnt have an abortion or even if you would take in a younger sibling if your parents passed away.

Love you taking the "it's awesome how aren't having kids" in the worse way possible 😂. You went straight to "I despise children, and it would be much better if nooone had them anymore" They could have just ment, it's great that not wanting to have kids is more accepted these days then it has been in the past
Fair point. But they could have said that if they meant it. Instead, they explicitly said it’s awesome people aren’t having kids lmfao. Within the context this statement speaks for itself if you ask me. Thank you for your comment

lmao. I think a lot of people are not mad at r/childfree for being "women no make baby for me anymore ;(" Its more people being mad at that subreddit for almost... despising? children. I can get multiple posts of this to prove my point, but you can just scroll through the posts for a while to find one of those.
Not everyone is called by God to become parents, some would do better to fully dedicate themselves to God and His flock, like priests and nuns, but most childless persons can instead live mundane lives. Mundane does not mean debauched tho. Nonetheless, when we analyze the full scope of humanity, the extreme majority should seek to become parents, and good ones at that. We are called to procreate and to act morally. To miss any one of those things is to be lesser but, thankfully, you can at least make up for childlessness. Antinathalism tho is such a huge sin, we should be creating more souls to be welcomed by our heavenly father.

Very true. "Anti-child" is probably a more accurate name at this point

Did people in the past have different moral compasses?
Was that an affect of their environment, or only that of biological evolution?
