I love this story. It is very comprehensible. My students can understand this story but much slower. I love it that it is both Spanish and English for speakers learning the language. I love that it shows vocabulary words.
¡Muchas gracias! I'm so glad this story helped your students learn Spanish! 😊 Let me know if there are any other stories you'd like to hear. ¡Nos vemos! 👋🏽
Great story! To those who want to challenge themselves, listen to the story through headphones rather than watch it. Then, you can see how much you understand without any visual aids.
It resonated with me- because I’m now in my second life (jubilada) and have more time to explore things I want to do. Muchas Gracias, a truly beautiful story to listen to ❤
Vikram's voice is my favorite in Duolingo! I was trying to guess what accent the narrator had. It sounded a bit Spanish but not quite formal enough to be from Spain. I study almost exclusively in Mexico and it did not sound as if it were from Mexico. However, Mexico has tons of different accents so it might be from an area I am not familiar with. Any other guesses? Thank you for this video. I understood so much that I covered up the subtitles about half way through. Mi español es mucho mejor!
¡Hola! Muchas gracias por tu comentario 🙂 The narrator's voice has a central Colombian accent (Bogotá), one of the most recognizable accents in the Spanish-speaking world. ¡Nos vemos! See you!
Thanks a lot 🤝 As for me, listening to the story *without subtitles* first is more useful : there is no such option here 😏 And pictures are so unnatural and unrealistic IMHO
Thank you for your comment and feedback! The videos are getting better and better. We'll also be improving the design and storytelling. ¡Nos vemos! See you!

The male voice resembles so much with duolingo (spanish stories) character named Vikram

Es bueno ver un vídeo que no tenía una voz AI.
