THIS 63 T-BIRD CONVERTIBLE IS THE CLEANEST MEANEST T-BIRD CONVERTIBLE I EVER SEEN 👀

The 63 model year with the turbine tail lights, the “gills”, and the stainless band that curves in from the doors to the dash - just love it.

The dash you're talking about wasn't stainless, it was anodized aluminum.

My late uncle bought a new 1963 T-Bird -- black exterior, white convertible top, and red interior in late 1962. I was 14-years old at the time and I was wowed by the car! The car came with a white thin hardbound booklet (which I still have) that described and showed photos about how the car was "Lincoln" equipped, and how the car went through extensive quality control tests -- photos showing how the car was sprayed with water to test for leaks. Well, after the first rain my uncle went out to his car to drive to work and there was on inch off water on the floor boards. He took the Bird back to the dealer. They supposedly checked out the car and corrected the leak. Wrong! The next rain my my uncle's Bird had another inch of water on the floor board. My uncle then investigated and found where the car leaked (in the dash area) and fixed it himself. However, the rain water experience soured him on the T-Bird. He just didn't enjoy the car after that, and he traded it in less than two years later.

They didn't put a 428 in the '63 T-Bird. All bullet birds came with a 390 with a few upgraded to three two barrel carbs but all were 390's.

In my opinion, the prettiest car Ford ever built.

Use the door to shut the door - not the window.

The roadster boot was added by many tbird owners to replicate the actual roadster.

      It's called a tonneau cover.

    Great place for a drop-in 427, I'd say.

    The color is Raven Black.
Calling it anything else is wrong and shows you know nothing of the vehicle or what Ford named.the color.
That's not a "Parade Boot" it's a Tonneau Cover that was part of the Sports Roadster package.
I have a Raven Black/Red '61 so I know the Bullet 'birds very well.

At first I thought what a great restoration. But then, the clock not working? Steering wheel off? Never saw a rear view mirror on the windshield like that on anything 1963.

Stellar awesome looking 63 Thunderbird but the rims are not original & don't belong on it, this ain't no taco ride car from Mexico!!

The Roadster Model, which this is, came with factory Kelsy Hayes wire wheels There should have been a matching wheel and tire for a spare in the trunk.

Wonder how much Ford saved by dropping the dual exhaust in 1963. Shameful.

That's not a parade boot it's a fiberglass tonneau cover which was part of the sports roadster option!!! It also has "a swing away!" steering column for ease of entry & exit! It's not called a swivel steering column!!! You don't seem to know very much at all about the car model at all?🤔🤨🧐🙄🤡

      Agreed. Tonneau, not parade boot
