Our friends urged us to see it. YOU insisted we see it. So... we saw it. And what do we even say here? There's so much to touch on- fire, water, bullets, tigers- just about everything ever made shows up at some point in this 3+ hour Indian epic. And this episode's length is equally as vast! Watch our thoughts and feelings on RRR... you may be surprised by our review! - Комедії
I like how Derrick was like 'there's no wrong way to watch this movie ' and then Shawn, who watched the dub, no subtitles, missed 90% of the context and exposition
Wait a second, this had a non dub? wtf lmao
@@MrBooone nah dude they filmed the whole thing in their native language then dubbed over it and deleted the original there is no sub
There is a non-dub version of the movie in Telugu (the original language). But Netflix didn’t wanna buy that as in India Hindi speaking population are larger in number than Telugu speaking population. The Telugu version was bought by Zee5, an Indian streaming platform, which I think is not available to you guys without VPN.
20:00.
Disclaimer was not there because the director was in arrogance that he used Avatar level CGI but because INDIAN CENSOR BOARD has a rule that "you have to mention the use of animals whether they are real or not, otherwise your movie will not get released."
I'm so happy you guys loved RRR. How Rocco describes it as the perfect blend of seriousness and camp is exactly why I love Indian movies so much. I hope you get the chance to watch more.
Can we please invite fruitsnax aka dj disk jockey into the movie club
"I LIKE IT" - Garrett every movie
I showed this movie to my gf as a joke because I saw how silly some of the gifs where but instantly we where both entranced through the entire run time.
Tbh I was really upset this didn't get nominated for more stuff considering the amount of work and disciplines that went into it.
Fantastic and I hope a way to open the doors to more Indian cinema in the west.
10/10 my favorite movie of the year.
Absolutely terrified to hear their Tar thoughts
The ending is an actual Mega64 skit.
What is shown in the movie is not even 0.5% of what British did to INDIA.
There acts were diluted in the movie just for the sake of modesty.
It would be a gore movie. Or would have to shown in the dark web or something.
Rocco is right, this movie hits on a whole nother level seeing it in a packed theater with an engaged audience. So much fun. I hope this gets a theatrical rerelease someday, I would definitely go again.
SARDAR UDHAM ( 2021) is the best bollywood movie ever made.
IMDB 8.4. ROTTEN TOMATOES 94%
Mark my words you will not forget this movie. It will break your stereotype regarding indian movies that they are only song and dance and fun. It will change your top 10 movie list of all times.
THANK YOU Brother.
Song 1:16:15 at the end was to give tribute to real INDIAN REVOLUTIONARIES.
*It has nothing to do with movie storyline.*
It is OUTRO SONG.
I can't be the only one who thinks Raju looks almost identical to Derrick in certain shots
Well Congrats derrick on getting married WTH! Didn't know
maybe im way off but im pretty sure when a character would call someone brother or cousin it was a term of endearment and they werent actually related
It's a marvel movie with hearts and emotions 😂
Glad you guys talked about it. Love to see my culture reach a broader audience!
RRR is definitely surprisingly one of my favorite movies of last year. Such unabashed over the top fun that I wouldn't have gotten anywhere else.
@1:09:32 wow, great observation Derrick. I didn't think of the 4 armed figure as being "godly" but looking back it definitely could have been representing Shiva or another Hindu god!
Well. Naatu naatu won Oscar.
I hope Shawn's watched the movie again since then. He basically watched a movie with his eyes closed and one arm tied behind his back. Lol.
That bg music "da ra dum da ra dum da ra dum dum" is so wild and still give me chills!! As I think this is what cinema is meant to be, to give wings to ur imagination and RRR does that!
Bhima (Bheem) and Rama (Ram) are Hindu gods, Rama uses a bow and arrow. And the statue of the god the got the bow and arrow from is a statue of Rama.
Fun fact the war bikes at that era were 50kg

This movie crosssed because beside the great director it just touched the american standered budget of 72 million dollar and his next movie will truly be a pan world movie with double the budget
Personally, I think they made this movie with this thought in mind, "we'll make a Indian style move, that Americans will eat up."
A cultural perspective that hopefully answers why the 2 main characters have multiple names thru the movie is to slot these characters into 4 layers: Layer 1 - the 2 characters are based on real life revolutionaries (Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju) Layer 2 - their character names in the movie are Bheem and A Ramaraju. Layer 3 - their undercover names to hide their true identities as they go about their respective missions are Akhtar and Raju. And finally Layer 4 - shows them transform into demi god status as Bheem and Rama, which is based on 2 of India' greatest mythological fables of Mahabharata (which has Bheem) and Ramayana (based on Rama)..the names are used interjectively in the course of the movie and can throw off the uninitiated on why the character is being called different names 😅
Having seen this movie multiple times in IMAX (Thanks Beyond Fest), can confirm that this is THE best theatrical experience I’ve ever had. 900 people at a sold out Chinese Theater all clapping and cheering for 3 hours, it’s unforgettable and I highly recommend you guys make it out to any sort of theatrical screening if you can.
I couldn't imagine seeing this flick more than one time
The movie isn't THAT good
They should put up screen shots of the scenes they're talking about while they're on that part.
RRR is not Bollywood movie. It is tollywood movie(telugu language) but dubbed in various languages like hindi
Ya'll should check out this director's previous films "BAHUBALI" and "EEGA"
PLEASE rewatch this movie in Telugu. Hindi is NOT the original language.
Their record hasn't been Tarnished yet.
It’s not a hindi movie… it’s a telugu movie(from south part of india) and Netflix only have the rights for hindi version of the movie that’s y you know nacho nacho… not the original Natu natu… (which was nominated and own the oscars) … not all Indian is movies are hindi … just FYI … but nice review guys ❤
The movie that inspired RRR:

Watch '3 Idiots ' movie
(Imdb:8.4 and rotten tomatoes 100%)
(Most loved Indian movie ever in India, China, South Korea and many Asian countries)
Would love to see a Wakaliwood Movie review from you guys.
ACTION IS COMING
RAAMAM RAAGHAVAM
if you guys like bollywood please watch Dhoom:2 i think its the funniest movie ive ever seen
the Dhoom movies are amazing. Enthiran/The Robot is also in my top 3 movies
I’m so excited you guys are delving into Bollywood. I hope you give some more movies a chance, there are so many movies as fun as RRR. Watch Singham (one of India’s ‘Cop Universe’ movies!)
Also jesus christ, I could only watch this movie once. 3 TIMES???
can't win oscar hahahahaha
It’s Naatu Naatu, Derrick. Not “Nacho Nacho.”
This movie was so fucking stupid, it actually became amazing
