0:57 I'm not certain that this game is using the word 'sentient' correctly. I feel like very few who use the word do. I don't claim to be an expert, I'm just someone who isn't too lazy to learn about the words that I want to use. Sentient is having senses (Sight, hearing, etc.) and feelings (Emotions and pain.) But, if you want to describe something that thinks, ponders and reasons, the word for it is 'sapient' (as in, 'Homo sapiens'). Animals can be sentient, but only humans are sapient.
I think the game is really interesting from an atmospheric point of view, but the default difficulty offers little challenge since you can headshot most enemies. That all changes on hard more, because now that you can't headshot you actually have to plan your route. By the way, the guy already released a new game, Under A Star Long Cold. Nevertheless, No Sun To Worship was number 46 on my ranking of ALL good games released in 2023 on my channel.

I mean cmon, who isnt worshipping the sun. When I buy my groceries I conclude the transaction with a salute and a "Praise the light in the sky great and powerful" that is met with the same. You cant go five minutes without someone saying how awesome the sun is.

the graphics in this are really beautiful and the sound design is good, but the controls sound awful, and persisting ammo between levels sounds like a recipe for softlocks has a lot of potential. hope the dev's proud of their work
This games title is going to piss of the like, five maybe, Zoroastrians still alive today. Kind of funny how there used to be a lot of religions directly worshipping the sun, but nowadays we've all realised that no, that's just a big hot fart up in the sky.
@@timhorton8085 Tell that to the Pompeii worm. It don't need your weak glowy orb to live. Though it does eat hot Earth farts. So, win some, lose some. I guess.
There are hundreds of thousands of Zoroastrians but reliable numbers are mainly for the diaspora. How many Zoroastrians still live in Iran where the religion originated is difficult to say, as admitting it publicly amounts to signing up for second class citizen status.
@@robertb7293 Earth is only able to maintain its geothermal activity (and overall warmth in general) thanks to the Sun's energy keeping us warm and the pull of its gravitational field keeping our planetary core active - so in the end it's still reliant on the Sun to live.
@@RedRocky54 Yeah but no. A lot of that is misconception. All major planets, and most large moons, maintain hot cores through residual impact energy of formation, gravitational pressure, and decay heat from radioactive isotopes. The gas giants in particular receive more heat at their surfaces from their own cores than they do from the sun. The sun certainly pushes the surface above the freezing point, but all of Earths subsurface heat, is in fact, Earths own.

This may be the closest thing to Splinter Cell, but do you know what it isn't close to? A "Clive Barkers Jericho" video.
I wishlisted this and played it the moment it came out, i was off from work and got the notification. I like it a lot
