Good work again 2nite kb
The ufc is the only company that does this kind of coverage and I love how they put out a lot of information. No other sport has this kind of coverage. Keep it up UFC and nice video
hahaha after the 15 min. mark you can see Ariel's face through the mgm sign behind Dana...I have no idea why that is so funny.
ty karen you're the best
thank you karyn, doubt may other sites will upload a 48min scrum so fast. dana white.... was very dana white last night
@15.24 you can see ariel reflection in the MGM sign.
ele entregou a luta
preach, brother! I like the way you think.
like it or not but Dana White is always entertaining and interesting to listen, it shows he exhausted but still he speak the truth crystal clear...crazy 48 min I didn't feel them at all, awsome! I quite like the guy before, now I'm a big fan! Thanks you to share this. Thx to Dana too
Dana White is funny ALWAYS a great interview
I wish I had Danas people talking skills. I swear, he makes everyone feel as if they have known one and other forever. Smooth talker for sure, great trait to have and something I admire in him.
@ 19.00 onward all i'm paying attention to is aerial's face over Dana's shoulder
Who's he talking about at 10:17 when he says he needs to check in on "him" too?
Nice, a Jim Norton mention! He and O&A have introduced MMA to a ton of new fans.
lol ariel jumps on stage right after the whole scrum lolz
I agree.
Dana said he would be the most boring interview they had but I actually thought that was one of the better Media Scrums I've seen in a long time.
Karyn, you are the bestest :)
OMG i can't believe this happen. The one fight that i miss of anderson since 2008.
I didn't forget that. I know that happened. But Silva got back up and it didn't look like he was going to be taken back down. He outstruck Silva on the ground, yeah, but that's expected.
Silva moved toward the fence and invited Weidman to come attack him. I believe he felt his power and didn't think he could get hurt by him. Much like when he fought Bonner. And he's taken much harder shots than that, but he misjudged the distance and it torqued his brain stem just right to turn the lights out.
love you karyn
I love Karyn Bryant's voice :)
He just got caught before he had a chance to counter Chris's combo. Also, that combo was an unusual LL,RR,L, which I think caught Silva off guard. Truthfully, I would bet Weidman studied Silva's tapes to no end until he was comfortable w/ all his tricks. Combine that with Silva slowing down a bit, and this is the outcome. Hell, we seen first signs of declining Silva back in his first fight w/ Sonnen. Though, if you want my opinion, his defense has always been spotty. Gotta keep those hands up
I agree
Agreed
lol after the fight, 2 fights broke out at the bar i was at
I just earned a whole new respect for Dana White about his comments on Chris Leben He knows that Idle hands are the devils workshop and I give him the respect for thinking that way about an employee who is on the cusp of being fired. Also GSP is pound for pound number 1
Ariel question at 23:20 lol
part of what makes Fedor so great is the fact he dominated so hard when he was a small 230lb. heavyweight.
Also during his reign in Pride all the best heavyweights in the world were there, while the UFC MW div was very shallow during most of the time Anderson terrorized it. That doesn't take away from his supernatural ability but the only really good wins against worthy opponents he has are Hendo and Vitor.
The next best guy probably Rich Franklin and from there it just gets less impressive.
agreed
So glad Dana said the "I gave that up years ago.." (About knowing who's going to win). I can't believe how long it's taking millions of others to learn that. I wrote that, seeing how many ways there were to win or screw up, many years ago, I think before HE understood it, that the fighters are not video game formulas; they have infinite ways of over/under performing, and you CAN'T know who will win. And NO WAY was Anderson in Weidman's head... Watch the fight again- you'll see an unhappy SILVA.
bout time, gonna be a awsome rematch
should be munoz vs belfort winner fights wiedman n silva vs jones pls
just pop up on sports center no lie dec 28 anderson vs weidman II
Lol im glad matt serra is still remembered for the biggest upset. Man that was huge.
Weidman did feel cheated, angry even that Silva was taunting him to excess. Needless to say, Weidman had an answer for Silva's misguided tactic; and Silva paid the price for keeping his guard down the way he did.
Silva claims he doesn't want a rematch. White says Silva does regardless of what was previously stated.
And you're absolutely right about White being furious over Silva hot-dogging against his past opponents. He wasn't mad this time because he knew Silva would go there and get caught.
Man I'm thoroughly happy I had no eggs in one basket. The confidence Weidman had plus every analyst riding his jock I was beginning to feel the fight would go one way or the other.
Karyn I really want your opinion on Anderson's loss? Do you think he was out struck or do you think he got caught because he wasnt being serious
You forgot the part where Weidman landed more significant shots on the feet and dominated on the ground. Weidman looked tentative and cautious, yet he still out-struck Silva. It was Silva getting frustrated with the way he wasn't connecting, knowing he couldn't win the ground game, THAT's what made Silva lose his composure and take the clown act too far. That's the objective facts of the fight. Silva may win the rematch, but I'd give Weidman a slight advantage.
Barboza fight -- TOTAL CLINIC!! Best fight of the night!
All I know is it would be criminal for them not do a rematch. Not to mention, the controversy surrounding this isn't going to die down unless they do. I think it will be interesting, and if Silva can keep his cool and put the pressure on Weidman, or when he stuffs his takedowns employ a nasty clinch game like we saw against Franklin, he'll take it. But those are all ifs. He's got to mentally prepare himself for drag out fight and keep the pressure on, IMO.
Amen sister!!
I agree... Although I am not sold on Weidman's greatness... I think he has been in some pretty easy fights and looked out of placed until he got the lucky clip. If Anderson is still serious about this sport he will come back and CRUSH Weidman...
For whatever reason, I really do believe Anderson when he says that he wants nothing more to do with the MW championship. Before the fight, he told the camera how every one of his friends was saying that he needs to stop worrying about fighting so much and start focusing on his family - and then the whole weigh-in controversy with him sharing the belt with Weidman happens. Whatever happens, I can only wish the best for Anderson in his future.
i fully agree. silva is a tremendous fighter. and when the rematch happens. if he loses again. which i think he will. it won't change that he is still the greatest fighter of all time. i honestly think he very possibly could have beaten fedor
"Nick Diaz called me the other night and said 'all the hotels are sold out in Las Vegas, I need a hotel room.' I said 'no problem kid, I got you.' Got him a hotel room, got him all set up...never fucking showed up to the hotel."
What did stephan bonnar do?
i was thinking the same thing as jim norton.
No doubt.. I seen it coming from the 1st round tho.. Weidman was gonna connect, it was bound to happen .
What did Bonar say?
exactly
15:03 and the instigator strikes again
Fucking love you Dana. You keep it real. Fuck all the controversy, it is what it is.
He's very respectful. Watch the end of the Sonnen fight. He invited a guy that relentlessly talked shit about him, his country, and his manhood over to his house for a bbq after the fight. Silva really never said anything disrespectful about Weidman during interviews. However, I will say that Silva got knocked the f*** out because he was cocky and overconfident. His hubris was his downfall and he got what he deserved for the way he chose to fight
In my opinion Silva wasn't clowning around at all. It's one of his tactics to use for the fight to get into a fighters head and he failed at it.
I'm sorry Mr. Bruce Allmighty:) What were martial arts credentials of Hiroya Takada?:) I know, do you know it?:D
100% true....
Really? How many people do you think are exited to see Chris Weidman? Some hard core MMA fans might still want to see Silva fight but the average fan will not be as excited as before this fight. They know Silva is beatable which many people believe they would never see Silva lose again. This is a big blow to the UFC
"Nick Diaz called me the other night and said, 'All the hotels are sold out in Las Vegas. I need a hotel room,'" White said. "I said, 'No problem, kid. I got you.' I got him a hotel room and got it all set up. And he never fucking showed up."
love me some scrum
I'm with you. Hell you could even go back to Silva / Sonnen 1 and make the same argument that he was not all Rogan/Goldberg continually cracked him up to be (but of course, that's their job to hype fighters and fights, so that their revenue returns are high). Yeah, now that you mention it, I can't really think of one Middleweight with a solid chin, and Silva as I've suspected for sometime, is no exception. More to the point, I agree that the majority of his opponents just weren't on the level.
I totally agree with your comment! Weidman's punch was both luck and due to Anderson's silliness b/c if not he would've connected them earlier and in Round 1 when Anderson was dodging them left-and-right. He def needs to accept a rematch and then a rubber to retire his career properly!
Definitely agree with you here(see my first comment). I truly believe that he just got caught clowning and maybe he is(was) getting bored with being the champ and maybe it just got to be too easy, hence the over abundance of acting. The only other reason for it would be that he has 0 respect for weidman and wanted to beat him and make it look easy and effortless like he has done in the past. I have way too much respect for the sport and these athletes to believe that this was staged or thrown
i wanted silva to come back and be all about his game no taunting moving in and around the range and just destroying hes opponent so he can get his respect back because saturday was pretty embarresing for him im sure and he still played it as a gentleman
dana is the best. you gotta respect the man for being that straight with his answer
I turned the headphones WAYYYY up.. n he says Dom Cruz...
You're right, there were def. subtle differences between this and the Maia fight. And you're right that he didn't counter when Weidman caught him, but not thru the whole fight? Honestly, I think Silva was just frustrated and thrown off his game. If you remember during the break between rds 1 & 2 his corner told him to calm down because he kept talking shit and pumping his fists. IMO, Weidman staying out of range frustrated him and he tried to up the ante w/ the mind fucks & got caught this time.
At the 15 min mark Ariel playing with his head
I just saw you on American ninja warrior!!!!!
15:03
And the instigator strikes again
what did Bonnar do ?
I love Dana haha
I love Frankie, and I was so proud of his performance last night. Been watching Frankie since his debut against Tyson Griffin. Frankie is still very under rated, and I am still butt hurt that he got blatantly robbed in Benson II. I don't know if he can ever take out Aldo though ... hang toe to toe yes (already done), but actually take him out?? I love my boy FE, but not sure he has the Power to get that done. He has a better chance at Champion back at 55 IMO.
Its too bad that there isnt a interview with Steven Seagal post Silva's fight. I would love to hear what the fool thought, or better yet seen the priceless expression on his face when Silva got KO'd.
Even the best fall down sometimes. Watch Anderson comeback an even better fighter.
Yea that's what the going consensous is...
Credit to Weidman, rematch should be good though, want to see Anderson fight the second time round.
dana keeps it real
IMO it was a pretty brutal KO.I wasn't talking about the shot being lucky or not lucky as that can be disputed all day. He got KTFO, Eyes rolled back in his head, head hit the canvas and then took 2 more open shots to the dome pretty legit KO if you ask me.
Im not a Weidman "fanboy" either. I respect and admire all fighters and am actually a really big anderson fan and it was sad to see him go down like that. I really hope the rematch happens and Anderson comes in and does less clowning.
could tell by silvas talk with joe rogan hes thought about losing and moving on he was talking to much sense and didnt even want to the rematch.what i didnt get is who is silva going to fight now hes not intrested in the belt no more. at least the middleweight division will be more interesting now. chris weidman hasnt beat everyone like silva but i think he might fall short to a past sliva opponent looking past them i will like to see belfort in there
i wanna see Benson vs Pettis II
