I think it may be true for Neymar, but certainly not for Messi. He is flying back to Barca whenever he gets the chance and there has been reports of him being sad and not feeling integrated in Paris (like with his kids at school).

PSG supporters NEVER have the right to go to anyone's house, regardless of how big an ultra they are or how much the player or manager has bottled it. In the end there are people who care more about football than being human and that's scary.
We have to be sure he understand he has to leave for good. It's been 6 years, 6 yeaes of Neymar playing poker late during the night, going to McDonald with friends, enough. Professionalism isn't an option. He has to leave. Verrati and Messi too, get them out.
100% agree with your conclusion , this is what is missing in paris. Players come cause salaries are good and they are sure to get titles + good exposure , and stay until the end of their contracts even if they dont play anymore while young talents never get a chance and are forced to leave
Yes, Messi was not influential in his first UCL with PSG. But that’s just not the case this year. Messi’s missed penalty last year overshadowed what was actually a pretty good UCL performance this year. And PSG as a whole played poorly once the knockout rounds started. He’d often find himself going back to retrieve the ball, which we all know is a sign things aren’t going well on the pitch. Argentina proved you need to play to Messi’s strengths to get him to give you his best. Not quite fair to say he was invisible this time. More like PSG were. PSG looked like they had no clear system, and if you don’t have one, not even Messi is going to bail you out.
I totally agree , he was the player with the highest ratings after the champions league matches they lost to Bayern. The team was basically invisible but he created chances for them to score
@@delffriedrichsalgado3809 extremly unpopular opinion because it's objectively wrong. He was first (or top2) at every singe attacking statistic (goals, assists, chances created, dribbles, crosses, key passes, etc) and he was by far the highest rated player . Also, Argentina wouldn't have gotten out of the groups without him
Messi going back to get the ball is part of the problem. PSG already have a deep line playmaker in Verrati. When Messi pushed that far back, it takes Verrati out if the play, and pushes a midfielder who not as great an attacker as Messi forward. Messi then tries to will the ball forward by himself and while the run is cool looking, it always fails, becuase most the team is co pletely out of the play. He basically at that is trying to play 2 on 11 with Mbbape. Then Messi, who cant really do much defensively anymore, and the pushed forward midfielder leave a bunch of space to be attacked leading to a quality counter attacks. Part of the reason he feels the need to drop back is also his, Neymar, and Mbbape's fault. Because they are also so bad defensively, it forces the rest of team to play more defensively to prevent counter attacks. The result is less offensive support. Their seems to be no offensive flow or connection between midfielders and the forwards at PSG becuase of this. Furthermore, becuase of these defensive issues, PSG recruit more defensively skilled midfielders. The problem predates Messi, but isn't helped by his arrival. Messi still a very good, but you can't play him with two forwards who also don't play defense.
It's crazy that Man City wasted that $100 million on Jack Grealish and he's already being phased out for Jeremy Doku. They should've never splashed that money in him, Messi would've fit like a glove at City and I despise that team to my core.
Completely disagree. Messi has been great for that team, even last seasons he was a huge part of their Ligue 1 success. The problems at PSG aren't their forwards, its the rest of the team. They don't have the quality in midfield properly utilise Mbappé and Neymar, who are mainly final third players. You then find Messi dropping ridiculously deep and playing out of position to try and make up for that. Why don't people see this
True. It's called a team for a reason. You can't expect to have the best attackers itw to pull you to UCL when you don't have good players in other parts of the field
It is almost like you can't have 3 final third players in a game where defense is starting higher and higher up the pitch and forwards are having more defensively responsibilities.
Nah too many excuses no one cares a damm about Ligue 1 only the UCL even mid players like Lacazette, Balogun or Jonathan david can score there, everytime he goes to the UCL RO16 he ghosts simple as that, Mbappe is the only one that tried against Real Madrid and his team let him down
You cannot expect people to be passionate about playing for PSG. They are a club that mean nothing other than money. Even Manchester City have carved out somewhat of an identity for themselves that is not merely linked to overpaying players.
If Messi performs for Argentina, he gets his fair share of credit. Same for Neymar at Brazil. If either performs for PSG, Prince Kylian gets all the credit. Let's not act like there's no tension between them, or like they even get along. They don't. Kylian is a highly egotistical and disrespectful teammate - yet he's PSG's golden calf. These men just refuse to sacrifice and go the extra yard for this spoiled child.
The anger of PSG maybe justified to an extent, but the way they are going about it is so disrespectful and just not the way. It doesn't help that there seems to be this excessive bitterness towards Messi for beating their nation in the world cup. Makes their behaviour all the worse.
@@shadow_realm47 They're not children. The guy who made this video also did some weird mental gymnastics to justify them acting like delusional maniacs (the Neymar thing).
You can't say that the action taking by the club are justified by "Messi beating their country" because PSG's decisions makers are not french, PSG's decisions makers are just bad at their job, they don't even care enough about football to hold grudges even if Messi would have beat their country.
Horrible behaviour, specially when you consider that PSG was a midle of the table kind of club with few local titles, until the petrodollars arrived. So acting like spoiled kids indeed, the club did nothing to win special status is a club without history, without the stuff of champions.
With all due respect to Ligue 1. The competition just isn’t deep enough for a team of older stars like PSG to stay sharp and focused when it comes to Champions League. The only team that comes close to giving them a Champions League challenge is themselves in training.
What's worse is that with how much more money their club have compared to any other club in ligue 1 (it's seriously a ridiculous higher budget) they don't even perform that well. Like they actually struggle a bit when they should obliterate everyone if they were even remotely well managed and handled
To say Messi went completely missing in the UCL is very harsh. He scored 5 goals in 5 games of the group stage in his first season, if not for that they wouldn't have even made it out of the group, and this year against Bayern, he made 2 massive chances for Ramos in the 2nd leg to get PSG back in the tie. Not saying he was great but he did what he could
To say Messi went missing is really an overstatement. He is more than goals; laying on chances and creating and Mbappé fluffing his lines. He is 35. Get real. Do I think they were his best CL performances? No. But should he be singled out like that? No. PSG as a whole was not good, and he can’t change that all by himself.
When he defended the Neymar thing I finally realized he was just an anti. You couldn't pay me to justify that protest, I'd be too embarrassed to even consider siding with delusional manchildren.
He didn't create anything against Bayern for mbappe. Everyone didn't perform for psg apart of the defense. Nuno Mendes and mbappe nearly changed it by themselves in the first leg. He is the favourite for the ballondor and for that you expect more in a cl game. He doesn't work defensively and didn't do anything going forward.
I don't think any starter at PSG truly cares for the club. That's the trade for no history and big money. What is there in Paris to be inspired by? PSG has to make a very big shift in how it's run if it wants the fans to have players that care. Bringing in already established players and unpersonable managers isn't going to help.
If the Man City and Real Madrid managers were handy men, they use hammers to hammer nails and saws to Cut. PSG only have hammers in their toolkit and use them to cut wood as well, you know that ai t gonna work.
The reason we say there ungrateful is because there even lucky to be in the conversation of "top clubs" cause they were no where near this level years ago much like city, spurs (for some reason), and even chelsea, and probably newcastle in the future they should just be happy to be in the conversation and be grateful for what they have
Neither were Arsenal for the past 10 years. Or Atletico Madrid 10 to 20 years ago. Top clubs do change, and it's stupid for the fans of more historically priviledged/successful clubs to expect they will be on top forever and expect the fans of any club that rose up more recently to always be humble and never criticize their star players, even when it's obvious that those players aren't really putting an effort for the club in spite of their colossal wages...
@@Vict0r1984 that's true I see your point but look at city and psg look where they were back in like 2007 if you would tell them they would be in the position they are now they would cherish that teams like Napoli this season, ajax 2019, porto 2004 those runs are amazing, atletico 2021, lecister 2016 even spurs 2019 those are magical runs the right way, not money coming in and now all of the sudden your the favorite for the next 10+ years
Harsh to lump City in with PSG. City is one of the best managed club in the past 10 years and City fans were never ungrateful. But content with just being in the conversation? That's really not how fans should be. Fans should always want their club to be the best club itw. That's how clubs prosper

Messi went to Paris to train for the world cup and win it. He achieved what he came for, so it was evident that the rest of this season is less important to him.
PSG thinks their team should be translated from FIFA Ultimate Team since they think it's pay-to-win and that chemistry is new age mumbo jumbo even though they should have realized long ago that this is not how you succeed. They simply failed to take lessons from Bayern Munich and other teams from past defeats like Barcelona. This is not a club, it's a brand who are better off as an exhibition team like the Harlem Globetrotters than an actual club in an actual league.
I mean really, it’s just PSG being PSG. They really bought the whole circus 🎪. I have to say that I understand why the ultras were angry with the club because the direction and management has been atrocious. They seem to care more about a brand than playing football and the fans have every right to demand change. HOWEVER you don’t take that out on the players. Even during Messi’s first season there were boo’s for him and Ney because the fans believed their transfers to be an example of the ‘luxury branding’ that they don’t like. But you can’t treat your players like trash and then still expect them to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to your club, that’s just entitled. Even when Messi has been one of their best rated players in games he’s still getting booed. Where’s the excuse for that? I think you can’t forget that a bond between a player and a club (and fans) has to be formed. It doesn’t come out of nowhere. I do think he COULD have at least cared about the club but there was that rough patch where he was having a down season and the fans were… a little unhappy. I personally think that’s where the relationship soured. Basically PSG fans think Messi was never going to care about the club and was just in it for the cash and Messi probably thinks the fans are just plain rude cause let’s be honest, superstar or not no one likes to be jeered at by a stadium filled with thousands of people on a weekly basis. In the end I think everyone is a little bit to blame, I can’t blame the fans for wanting more dedicated players but they went about it in a less than ideal way. Nice video though keep it up.
Commitment comes from culture and the dressing room. To create that kind of a culture you need to have some combination of a core of senior very committed players, an elite all in coach, and some x factor super stars. For ex. When Neymar signer for the club I think PSG should have backed Cavani as like a captain/leader and Neymar as a star player. But by conflating the two they create a mess.
When PSG had Zlatan, he was very criticized for his antics but one thing he did that was amazing is rly teach other players in the lockeroom what it meant to have the mentality and dedication of a top team, i wish instead of a talented but who likes to keep to himself like Messi (not dissing him) they should have took a senor player who could bring the type of mentality Zlatan once did
@@daanishdan318 yeah his leading skills are one the reason i appreciate his career so much and one of the reason i don't like when ppl only talk about him as if he's some egomaniac mercenary who only think of himself
People expect so much from Messi. Even after finally winning the WC. They used to say he was only good at club level now youre saying he isnt good at club level only international level? Lol but whatever you can say whatever you want, Messi has nothing to prove
I live in Paris and I'm a fan of PSG, it's honestly very sad seeing such a flop in the management and how players don't have the same passion as back then, I feel like having messi and all of these stars doesn't help, the club needs to forget the UCL for like 3-5 seasons kinda like Arsenal and then do a rebuild, bring more players from the region (which produces 2nd most football stars in WORLD). I understand like the hate PSG get from outside football fans but in Paris right now it everyone in Paris watching the matches and all and seeing how bad our team is performing. The rebuild is necessary because if the club doesn't rebuild itself soon, we will keep losing matches and if we keep losing the Qatari ownership and the money for better investments might go away. The protests and contestation is needed towards the management in PSG but they shouldn't harass players outside their homes or try to threaten them, the players are good but they are mismanaged in my opinion.
I understand that the players have to love the club and be passionate, but PSG is literally Mbappe FC. There's no incentive in caring because it wouldn't really matter. They had a Team campaign shoot that only stared Mbappe, Mbappe's contract is wild at that as well so what's the point of caring for a team that clearly isn't a team.
PSG Fans: demand world class players for entertainment and league success PSG: Buys Mbappe Neymar and Messi... Messi and Neymar already are friends which initially made for this outcome where it looked like mbappe wanted to do it all himself, and anytime messi and neymar celebrated together he was somewhat jealous. over time they have bonded together better but there is this thing called competition. The fans clearly dont have an ounce of respect for the idea that they could be beaten by other teams, especially in the Champions League which lets not forget...they were in a final just 3 years ago or so. Although, this like Man City, mainly applies to those supporting PSG post takeover. Its pretty clear to see the Qataris arent fit for running the football club except for making profit on shirt sales. Unlike the Saudis at City who, although operated like PSG initially, fixed up and didnt go unbalancing authority between manager and players by giving one of them the ability to make club decisions. No wonder Messi and Neymar arent 'commited and care' about PSG because they know the main reason they are there in the first place is based on the commercial aspect, then followed up by club ambitions. Sacking Tuchel after everything he done for the club, handling the egos and price tags for poch....dont even please and then going and signing Galtier because i guess the mentality over there is...if they beat us...they have to join us. In conclusion, who cares when the club is a spin the wheel on players and managers to try and win the CL and the fans are entitled, 2 faced and so emotionally invested to see the bigger picture but shout though microphones outside someones house...make it all make sense.
Problem don't u think is when the player who performed well before the world cup doesn't even get a celebration after winning it, One bad match and fans start to hate them like anything. That club is just a Real, Bayern, Barça wannabe in a tinkering lab with toxic fanbase
Ironically a PSG academy player, scored the winner to beat them in the 2020 CL final, they could produce a winning team with majority Parisians and young French Talent.
I like PSG, but they need a drastic rethink. I’m thankful for Messi’s time at the club, but he and all the other legends needs to go. Paris should focus more so on their homegrown talent and understand their limits. Focusing on the Europa League would be much more appropriate for a PSG rebuild
Yh I agree (I really like their 4th shirt this season), that's why (to an extent) I respect Boelhy's Chelsea because they try to sign younger players and develop them but both PSG and Chelsea need to get rid of the ageing players and primma donna's and replace them with homegrown talents which Galtier is trying to doby bringing Zaire-Emery, Gharbi and Bitshiabu.
I genuinely think this is just modern football collapsing in on itself. Talking as a fan who looks at PSG with jealousy but also morbid interest. PSG have EVERYTHING. Unlimited money and power within UEFA, a strangle hold over their league, a beautiful city, a passionate fan base, a ridiculously talented and successful squad… EVERYTHING. But if the fans don’t feel involved, if they don’t feel like they have anything or anyone to latch onto; nothing fucking matters . It’s not their club anymore, it’s hardly even a club anymore. It’s a vessel for the vanity soft power ambitions of a tyrant. I feel like you did a really good job illustrating how there is more to being a fan than just wanting your team to be Real Madrid. It’s about being a part of something. It’s pretty impossible to do that when everyone at the club clearly couldn’t care less about you.
Liked the coverage on Messi, but did we all forget that PSG is an Mbappe project ? Not one sentence of criticism on Mbappe in the entire video.... its either Messi of the rest of the team.... I don't get this....
Man i didn't saw a so good PSG video in a long time like it feels really neutral you did an good job because usualy it's either hardcore messi, neymar or PSG fan giving their POV which don't explains the situation at all as a PSG fan it's really awful to see my club in such a poor state and see the fans going tottaly nuts like that but thanks for making a video where it's not "PSG bad Messi perfect", "Neymar playing poker = PSG get knocked out in the UCL" or "PSG lose because Mbappe can't score every single pass from Messi"
Why players don't give everything for club? One simple reason is that the club is so arrogance, thinking themselves big enough to give any passion or respect. As for PSG, Messi is not only one. The list goes on.
Is not that messi and neymar don't like psg, is that nobody does, mbappe had to receive admin cheat codes to stay, maybe verrati likes the club since he is plaiyng there for more than 10 years
The thing is nobody goes to psg because of the club. When people go to big clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern, Wolves, its because theyre prestigious clubs and were fans of them when they were younger and dreamt of playing for them. Everyone goes to PSG because its Paris and they know they will get a big payday if they keep asking for it.
PSG fans are clowns for expecting anything despite their results in the last seven years. They had more successful champions league campaigns, aside the fluked final (during Covid where it was one leg so they can’t bottle it) when Zlatan and Cavani was there than now and when they had Laurent Blanc
Even we take your argument for granted, you're still left with the fact that Mbappe took the big payday in the farmer's league he already conquered (and should have if he's in the GOAT argument) to stay at PSG. And so, we arrive at the fact that Mbappe's own decisions are a significant reason why he's not competing with Haaland. Hence, different club, team, or manager arguments on his behalf are largely irrelevant. Part of deserving accolade is making sound decisions off the pitch--e.g., diet, training, overall lifestyle, extra practices, rest days, the Club you commit yourself to, etc.
@@TSOTL-0302haaland is in a much better club and team than Mbappe has ever had - football is a TEAM sport It’s the reason why Mbappe excels so well in the string France squad compared to haaland in Norway
As an Argentinian i agree 100% with most of the points in this video. Having seen all PSG games (yes, it was torture) i don´t think its only Messi but most players seem completly uninterested. As a fan i understand PSG og suporters who really just see a bunch of players who seem to be just making the lowest of efforts while they have massive salaries. for Messi, i just think that after the world cup even the champions league doesn´t light up the fire for him any more. I don´t think he will go back to barca, maybe usa?
I think so. World Cup was the one last time Messi used his "nitro". He has won pretty much everything in football you can ask for. World Cup, UCLs, Ballon D'Or, League titles, Club World Cup etc. Seeing Messi in a Barça kit and scoring his 500th La Liga goal would be pretty epic.
4:17 Messi 2021/22 was playing really well at the champions league, 5 goals in 7 matches... 4:40 and in 2022/23 he got 4 goals and 4 assists in 7 matches, if that's dissapearing idk man... Plus we all know that messi is much more than G+A stats, so the stats are just the surface of his performance on the pitch The ultras are angry at messi becuase 2 things: 1. Discrimination against southamericans 2. Messi won the WC final against them
Expecting Messi to love PSG is like expecting someone to love their rebound partner who also happens to be bipolar and abusive and have an insane family gassing them up all the time.
The only PSG star who really tried was Ibrahimovic, now they even hire slightly above average players like Soler and Ruiz who eventually get worse as soon as they arrive in Paris
PSG have the same problem my team Chelsea has now. spending money on big players who don’t seem to care or have the passion. I remember when Chelsea won the champions league with a really weak ass team compared to who we beat, that was because the fight and passion made up for the disparity in quality. PSG need a team, not a team of individuals. More money doesn’t necessarily equal a good team. Don’t know any player at PSG who grabs a situation by the balls and is even willing to take the fight to their opponents.
I don’t blame Neymar, Messi and Mbappe. That squad is still young and most could barely even support them. I have watched enough psg games where a guy like Vitnna fumbles the bag when he could pass the ball to Messi or even Mbappe so many times he missed chances to pass to Neymar and even when Messi created chances for his team mates they fail. Honestly using the World Cup as example is unfair to him he was in a squad which would die for him and for the dream unlike psg where no cares not even youth players and Mbappe only cares cause he doesn’t like losing and most times his an emotional flip flopping train wreck. I gave up watching mmm when I saw this and the fans hate should not be targeted towards Neymar but Psg heads and boards for this fucking mess
Exactly! Comparing this PSG team to the Argentina NT is a sin. These players fumble so bad and then Messi is blamed. PSG Ultras love their golden spray painted boy so they never boo him, Neymar and Messi are scapegoats fr.
What we need to do is get rid of players who don't want to be here, Messi out, Neymar out (major gap to fill but it's better than drama 24/7) Veratti out, Ramos out find a better and more confident number 1 GK to replace Donnarumma Get Jose Mourinho and develop the local parisian youth who truly give a fk about the team
I think a video on Jorge Valdivia would be extremely interesting. A player more than capable of playing in Europe’s top five leagues, but never able to make it due to his destructive lifestyle.
I think they are justified to an extent but not directing it at Neymar. I’d say lay the blame on the board, they suck and their recruitment is trash. And even though I do not like Messi, he does his job. The forwards do the job. The midfield is disconnected and the defense isn’t a unit and all of them think they don’t have to run. Blaming Messi and Ney is like blaming Ronaldo last season at Man Utd. Like the joke went, you want a Neymar to make the tackle in his goal, dribble through 2-3 players, while also making the overlapping run, playing the through ball to himself, crossing to himself and then scoring himself. It’s the board who don’t know how to do anything

We have to be sure he understand he has to leave for good. It's been 6 years, 6 yeaes of Neymar playing poker late during the night, going to McDonald with friends, enough.

Maqwell is at it again with his 19th PSG video
As long as you have PSG, you can never run out of content ideas
The team was basically invisible but he created chances for them to score
unpopular opinion, but at the world cup, he wasn't the best player neither.
@@delffriedrichsalgado3809 Okay.
It's crazy that Man City wasted that $100 million on Jack Grealish and he's already being phased out for Jeremy Doku. They should've never splashed that money in him, Messi would've fit like a glove at City and I despise that team to my core.
PSG didnt have a training session that monday, when Messi left all of a suddenly they called for a practice
They called for it because they lost - when the wing they get 2 days off but if the loose the players obviously don’t get that luxury
A meltdown-video of Maqwell? Let's go!
It’s actually everyone including the manager and the board they need a whole rebuild
It is almost like you can't have 3 final third players in a game where defense is starting higher and higher up the pitch and forwards are having more defensively responsibilities.
Nah too many excuses no one cares a damm about Ligue 1 only the UCL even mid players like Lacazette, Balogun or Jonathan david can score there, everytime he goes to the UCL RO16 he ghosts simple as that, Mbappe is the only one that tried against Real Madrid and his team let him down
@@luckymark571 "even mid players" ok bro new talent isn’t allowed to improve and lacazette is just a rdidiculous amount of tap ins and pens

You seem to forget this is an 11 player game. PSG’s problem isn’t MMM. It’s that disgusting bench and midfield
The anger of PSG maybe justified to an extent, but the way they are going about it is so disrespectful and just not the way. It doesn't help that there seems to be this excessive bitterness towards Messi for beating their nation in the world cup. Makes their behaviour all the worse.
they're simply frustrated.
Where is the anger of PSG when it comes down to Mbappe, who explicitly has disrespected the club on multiple occasions throughout the recent years.
At this rate they’ve become a “Days of our PSG” to rival the 2018 Pittsburgh Steelers “Days of our Steelers”.
PSG and their fans might be the reason why no player shows passion for this club

The fans have every right to be disappointed, that doesn't justify insulting or going to any player house!
They just wanna make sure he leave the club for good. Something has to change.
With all due respect to Ligue 1. The competition just isn’t deep enough for a team of older stars like PSG to stay sharp and focused when it comes to Champions League. The only team that comes close to giving them a Champions League challenge is themselves in training.
😂😂
What's worse is that with how much more money their club have compared to any other club in ligue 1 (it's seriously a ridiculous higher budget) they don't even perform that well.
PSG biggest problem is playing in the Ligue 1, nobody pays attention to it.
the thing is when i see psg i see superstars not a team. But when i watch a Man city or Real Madrid I see a team with superstars

He achieved what he came for, so it was evident that the rest of this season is less important to him.
isn't it a bad thing taking wages and not even caring
Nice video though keep it up.
ppl forget this is just a job to them, if these players weren’t giving 100 they won’t be there.
Typed on my phone ... Ignore the various grammatical errors.
Cavani and Thiago Silva were strong veterans. Winning teams have that in common.

The protests and contestation is needed towards the management in PSG but they shouldn't harass players outside their homes or try to threaten them, the players are good but they are mismanaged in my opinion.
all the stars leave psg it's just a retirement home at this point.
@@shadow_realm47 exactly like besides mbappe and neymar all of our "stars" are players past their prime.
Absolute joke of a club
PSG Fans: demand world class players for entertainment and league success
PSG: Buys Mbappe Neymar and Messi...
Man City is not owned by the Saudis it's owned by united Arab Emirates consortium.

Yeah making a player your de facto director of football is a disaster
This is probably going to be a bit unpopular with Messi and Neymar worshippers, but I do generally agree with most points made in this video.
I do love Naymar and especially Messi, but I do think this video is making some really important points.
What's worse is that ppl refuse to acknowledge how much the clubs downfall is mainly because of the club's decision makers and not the players
PSG to Messi is like that toxic relationship you get in after a long term breakup and the fans wonder why he doesn’t really care about them
