While this is an exceptional version of the song sung by Honey Sykes at Monument of Faith Church, this is not the absolute all-time best version I possess. Nevertheless, here is the selection from October 1979. Sis. Sykes "shouts" on camera, overwrought with the Spirit while singing this powerful song. This video was produced by my father Lee Spearman, for the Breakthrough Hour television broadcast featuring the ministry of pastor and evangelist Apostle Dr. Richard D. Henton.
Sweeping Through The City remains my all-time favorite Voices of Monument choir song.

I love at 4:01 how she acts like she's done and then goes right back into the vamp, classic ole school. Then the music subtlety changes at 4:43 and anointing goes higher, talk about one accord. The whole church together praising Jesus! Its amazing how not matter how hard they tried they couldn't separate us from our African heritage. I can hear it in those drums! LOL! My Jesus!
