In 1999, Apostle Richard D. Henton, pastor of Monument of Faith Evangelistic Church, held a program, honoring MAAAAAAANY of Chicago's Gospel pioneers, who were known locally, as well as world-wide. Many of them, such as the late Albertina Walker, rendered selections. Here, she sings a favorite of many Gospel fans, "I'm Still Here." Before Albertina Walker sings, Delores "Honey" Sykes reminisces about a funny moment with Albertina back in the 1960's.
Mama Tina may soul rest in peace, God has used this song to keep me going through out my trials. Thanks so much ❤
Mother Honey we all are human, and have done that, and more. It's all good. Albertina certainly was a great blessing to the body of Christ. And didn't mind blessing the church. Still love her songs today - and always will. Oh that rasp alto voice with its unique anointing and style... what a blessing. Thanks Tina. RWJ (Rest with Jesus).

Thank God! I have not been perfect myself but thank for 2nd & 3rd chances. Thank God that Jesus died on the Cross for our sins. Thank God that we can sincerely repent and ask God to forgive us for our sins. God, you brought me through 3 deaths my mother, grandmother and 3 yrs ago I loss my 27 yr old son due to a drowning. Yes, Corey u went fishing that day for the 1st time in a boat... You was a true fishermen to your heart and enjoyed fishing... Thank God on May 8th, 2016 u called me and said, mama I love God and I'm going to make u proud of me when I received my degree this summer. I said, baby mama already proud of you and your accomplishments as a videographer. He was on a professional level and only 3 hrs to recieved his degree from Jackson State University. But instead we did a HOMEGOING CELEBRATION AT THE AGE OF 27. Mama, miss u and will always love u son❤❤❤
