Yes!! I’m glad it arrived!! Yeah I put the post its on there for the giveaway video and thought it would help to just leave them on there for you.
I also buy new books every once in a while. However, I just can’t justify new hardbacks unless it’s the only version I have access to.
I’m glad you are getting into indie books. It’s a lot of fun. Some great, some terrible, and some in between. Sort of like non-indie books!
Oh and I almost didn’t send Alaska because it sounded great but I thought it was more up your alley than mine.

Thank you so much for sending these to me. Had a lot of fun opening them up and was completely unaware of a lot of them before. The post its definitely help, once I condense the library a bit I need to go through and research the individual books and authors, kind of all over the place at the moment.
That Alaska book has been on mind since I posted the video.... its only right for a book about the largest state to be a behemoth.
      Thanks again doc!

So what you are saying is that you would also like a box of Johnstones? I can make that happen.

Make a fort in the living room and read a good book. =) My son would hide near the heater vent and pull the curtain over him to read. 📚
My husband says he ordered the books I wanted. A big pile of them. And usually I buy used, but these books are new. Sometimes I can't find used books for the books I want or they're just a few dollars cheaper and so I buy new to help out the authors. I did buy the Fountainhead new. My library didn't have it and the local bookstore had a copy. I was surprised. Of course they only had one.
I hope you enjoy all of your new to you books.

Finding somewhere to read can be the most difficult part sometimes, reading in a tent or under a blanket with a flashlight was very appealing as a child. Sure Freud would have something to say about it 😅.
A big pile of new books? That's always exciting hopefully they arrive unscathed from their journey.
Fountainhead is worth buying new, the most common copies at used bookstores have the smallest print possible plus gutter loss. I got very lucky with my copy.

That was great Dr. L sent you all those books. I have only read a couple of William Johnstone books in his Mountainman series. They were okay but certainly not up to the standards of Louis L'Amour or Elmer Kelton. Still great fun, though. James Michener and Robert Harris are both great authors so I hope you enjoy them.

nice to read something where you can just relax, let the guard down and enjoy it for what it is.
I'm also fascinated with the later books being written by different ghost writers. Sometimes the plots are better than writing and I enjoy that aspect as well.

Alaska by James Michener should be an awesome read. I started or maybe still do collect books by Michener. I have Texas and Hawaii plus a few more. His flaw? is that like in Hawaii he spends chapter after chapter explaining the geographical formation of the Hawaiian Islands. Cool stuff to read but doesn't really add that much to the story. Still an incredible writer. -James

I believe this is the first book I own by him. I really enjoyed learning about the history of Texas and New Mexico this year, perhaps I'll give Alaska a shot in 2025.

@@HideAndRead I would bet that Alaska will be really good. I started Texas by him but it is such a big book that I set it aside and I plan on starting it over from the beginning. One day.

You're becoming the Johnstone king! You're going to have to change the name of your channel to Hide, Read and Johnstone. haha. Kind of sounds like a law firm.
