Roger was always the pretty boy in the band. He has aged gracefully, he’s still a good person and a handsome man. People who are evil usually look it. He’s an amazing singer, but beyond his talent, he’s very witty with a marvelous sense of humor and very intelligent.
I saw him in a car park in 1988 at Wembley Stadium bollocking his chauffeur be cause he couldn’t make his car fly over the queue trying to get out. Quite nasty
I love this man, he's so poised and proper, yet the flinty old cynic deep inside. Queen were and are my first favorite band and I've always adored Roger's tunes along the way. "Have my eggs poached for breakfast, I guess"
Freddie, in spirit form, is probably still hanging around the band, because they always mention him in interviews about missing him. They do credit Adam Lambert, but they'll never forget their old buddy Freddie. They all have great voices and musical talent, but Freddie's voice was out of this world!
Was at Rogers concert last night and boy was it amazing! Stayed behind at the back door after the show for more than an hour to get the vinyl cover signed and it was worth the wait! He mentioned this interview too
Roger, Brian, John and FREDDIE, thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. The four of you have produced the soundtrack to my life for the past 46 years. I honestly have not gone a day in all these years w/o listening to Queen. Bless you all. Stay safe, be well and please keep it going. Freddie, please hear my words: Eternal peace and love. Roger, thank you for the new LP. It's fabulous!!
@@ronkrill1 Well, each fan has their best ... but, I recognize the talent of the other drummers, for example: another great drummer, it was John Bonham from Led Zeppelin, only in this case, as Roger is my favorite, that's why I said that. Don't you just love Roger ! He is still a young man in that body of his. You can tell he has mellowed, albeit he has to bite his tongue quite often, as he holds back on occasions !! I watched him a few days ago in Bath and he and his band were absolutely superb. The quality of the live performance cam out of years of honing his exceptional skills. His voice instantly recognisable.. It wasn’t until I listened to his vocals on his project with his band The Cross I listened more closely to his work with Queen and was blown away.
Just a nice man. Sort of bloke I would love to have a glass of red with - so grounded and incredibly interesting. What a huge talent! Keep rocking Roger - saw you live in the 70s….you just get better…….
Roger's looking and sounding really good. Amazon emailed the news my "Outsider" cd is being delivered tomorrow. I'm certain "We're All Just Trying To Get By" will be on repeat longer than others want! It is absolutely lovely!
Roger didn't hesitate to mention George Michael as someone they would have liked to have done more with. What a shame they didn't as the songs they did at the Freddie Mercury tribute concert with George were outstanding.
Drowse is my favorite song of his, and one of my favorite Queen songs in general. Very different, and very surprising, a song of wistful middle-aged regret written by someone still in his twenties.
I wonder just how many people failed to realise that Roger Taylor was in fact responsible for writing Radio Gaga and that it was also the great drummer's idea that they all dress up in drag for Coronation Street influenced video I Want to Break Free (that MTV refused to show). He's also great friends with Phil Collins and has helped him out many times in the past.
