The Queen Extravaganza is a spectacular touring concert show designed to take the glorious music and live experience of legendary rock band Queen and bring it to generations of fans. Two of Queen’s original band mates and songwriters- iconic drummer Roger Taylor and legendary guitarist Brian May-are the masterminds behind The Queen Extravaganza.

What is wonderful about Queen is that they get new generations of fans without having to do anymore work. They don't have to write another song. All the old songs do the work for them. And thus they keep making more money which they don't need. To their credit, Roger and Brian have raised millions for Aids research in their friend's memory. It won't bring him back but Freddie didn't die in vain.
yeah, I said it before - I might sound silly, but I believe that The Universe listen to how much humans loved Freddie's voice and He sorted out Marc as a response

@@TheaterPup he was referring to Marc Martel, not Adam Lambert. Lambert never has had a career beyond covers and karaoke contests. Martel is an established and award-winning writer with 12 albums of his own music. That us why Roger respects Marc and sees him as a peer.

@@TheaterPup Yes, Adam sang on cruise ships and musicals, but that wasn't his music any more than the albums he recorded of songs written by others. Name one song Adam has written, and I can give you 50 Marc has.

Amazing! Performing in front of the legends themself with their masterpieces and also got clapped by them must be utterly proud feeling ever!
This was a really talented band....everyone can sing. there was a guy who sounded like Freddie, Brian and Bowie.

+Nour Michaelis I agree. I think Adam was a bad choice for the band. At least Paul Rodgers had the vocal chops for Queen's music. He might not have sang them like Freddie, but he sang them like a rock singer, and in the right key. Adam doesn't have a rock voice. He has a rock look, and he moves around like a rock singer, but his voice just does not have the strength required to sing those songs.

So. I believe that there is a gentle conflict between Roger and Brian. My opinion is that Roger have no problem to receive Marc as official Queen singer but Brian is heavily conservative and don't want replace Freddie with guy who sounds similar. But (!) Marc is NOT a impressionist!!! His voice and voice range is just very close to Freddie's. Is really Marc not worthy to sing with Queen??? Why? Why? C'mon Brian!

The conflict is NOT gentle at all. And it’s real.
Again, there's no evidence of any conflict. Brian called Marc the gift from God at the time, and that was around the same time they were beginning to play with Adam. Fans need to understand, Marc and Adam were hired for completely different jobs. There is likely no competition between them.

I am sure, if you are queen fans you will love Marc, I have no idea why they took Adam to the main band, for money or what... Or because of Adam is just being handsome, no idea. If you are musician you will love Marc he is the only one can give the feeling and the mood from Freddy 26 years ago more then 10000 percent.
If you are a true Queen fan, you will love Adam - after all, he was hand picked by Brian and Roger OVER Marc. Adam represents what Freddie was on stage and knows how to put on a show, is an amazing singer and is just as musical as Marc. Marc is a great singer too - but stop trying to slant Adam for doing nothing more than allowing Queen to continue playing!
No need to gatekeep Queen fans into requirements. Some will only love the original, and that doesn't make them "less than" or not "true" fans.
Clearly Roger, Brian, Spike Edney, and Jim Beach think Marc captures Freddie's vocal sound, or they would not have given his name to the Bohemian Rhapsody film producers to contribute additional vocals.
They also like performing with Adam. He doesn't sound anything like Freddie, but Roger and Brian weren't looking for a Freddie sound-a-like to tour with them, after ending their tour with Paul Rodgers.

Marc may sound more like Freddie, but he lack the charisma, stage presence, flamboyance, range and theatrics that Queen was known for. They chose Adam at the end of Idol, well before they knew what his "draw would be.

I have no comment on Adam, I haven’t heard him sing anything except when he was in the reboot of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I do think Marc has a wonderful singing voice.
