In this video I am watching the movie "Unfriended (2014)". One night, while teenagers Blaire, Mitch, Jess, Adam Ken and Val take part in an online group chat session, they are suddenly joined by a user known only as "Billie227." Thinking it's just a technical glitch, the friends carry on their conversation... until Blaire begins receiving messages from someone claiming to be Laura Barns, a classmate who killed herself exactly one year prior. As Blaire tries to expose Billie's identity, her friends are forced to confront their darkest secrets and lies.

If you haven’t watched them already, Silence of the Lambs and The Shining are both good horror movies that skew more psychological than jump scary type horror

This movie shows how toxic and tenuous a teenage friend group can be. This is only 10 years ago but it feels more like early 2000's to me for some reason.
because 2000s showed teenagers as ruthless animals. unlike Euphoria which presented teenagers as toRtuReD sOuLs

Having this take place entirely on a computer screen really helps the film come to life. It really made me feel like these were real people and it was really happening. Which is something horror films should always strive for.
Also, this was all filmed in one house!
They were all just in different rooms!
There’s a movie called host that does the same thing and it’s actually a pretty good. Check it out if you haven’t.
I agree with you. I’m not a big fan of horror films either… but this is one of the most creative horror films I’ve ever seen!
But, I must say even though “Unfriended” it’s a horror/thriller kind of a movie, it also has a very powerful message of how cowardly & disgusting cyber bullying is, and also knowing who your REAL friends are.
Grave Encounters - reality haunted House TV show goes to an abandoned asylum and gets more than it bargained for.

I do like about the movie was the progression of her character. At the start she was sort of the voice of reason and the only one you can say was friendly. Then as the movie progressed it is revealed she's actually a terrible person and a compulsive liar. Like the scene she was trying to minimize the cheating she was like "it was for a second" then you are hit with the vid of them actually doing it. Plus she was the one who revealed the note which killed Adam, she gave up her boyfriend right away thinking it will save her ass. I personally would have preferred had they not killed off Blaire. Having her live with all the guilt and knowing everyone knows what she does and being a pariah would be a bigger punishment than death imo.
Not to mention she got her boyfriend killed by lying again.

The best example I can think of another film that takes place entirely online was a TV film called "Cyberbully" starring Maisie Williams

It’s pretty decent in my opinion
The second movie is with adults in their late 20's, early 30's so it's less cringy than seeing teens scream at each other. But also doesn't have the same charm. I say check it out regardless.

I recommend watching Host (2020). It’s the better online/Zoom movie.
I definitely preferred the plot line of the second movie. I was way more invested in the characters and the outcomes. The second movie also has multiple different endings depending on which theatre you went to see the movie in, so viewers won’t know which ending you’ll get (which I think is pretty interesting!)

Oh wow! I love low-budget horror movies. This movie, unfriended 2, the gallows series, truth or dare, it follows, etc. I don't even want to call them bad (they probably are objectively bad), but they're just fun!

Im not big on horror movies either , saw was good and I remember really liking the ring back in the day. I used to say I didn’t like the horror genre bcuz it’s the easiest form of filmmaking , it’s not hard to make people fearful. But truthfully I’m kind of a baby with this stuff , I do like a lot of Stephen king stuff though ( books and films)

Dude I remember back in 2015 when I was 17 years old I couldn’t go in and watch it without an adult so I had to ask my friend who was 20 at the time to buy the ticket in which he did but it was a cool and scary the movie and what’s funny is that I had a crush on Heather Sossaman because of her beautiful blue eyes

The only horror movie i know where there is no real victim to root for almost everyone has a sin on their back

I always laugh my ass off when I watch Friday because I recognize Man's Best Friend on the TV after Pops gets bit at work

Recommending Grave Encounters as a must-watch next. It's another one of those cheesy found-footage movies. Just a fan watch overall and highly underrated in my opinion.
You should watch Hostel.
I think Gremlins or the Descent are good horror movies, but then not really being truly about horror. Same with their sequels.
