Something I still need to get my head around, are these the only contactors in the whole build? My lexus UX300E battery pack that I bought had 8 contactors in total, 2 for DC fast charge, 2 for normal positive and negative then 4 small ones for pre charge also doing the DC and main contacting.
There are also pack contactors, and Chademo also has its own contactors. Generally, like in this build too (roughly), the pack contactors are inside the battery pack, and the junction box splits the cabling outside the pack to the inverter and charging contactors (and also via fuses to smaller cables going to the heater and OBC) The pack contactors have the precharge function. If you have space inside the battery pack, you can include the "junction box" there and also have the DC charging contactors there if you like. But then the battery pack has to be easily accessible to be opened for service.
Dude, these are great. Building the contactor box is the most nerve wracking for me.
