Diaz is our most productive player, better than Salah and Darwin. His physicality, athletism, pressing, and runs surpass any of our attackers. Darwin earns over twice as much. No wonder he wants to leave. Seems we are having a repeat of Sadio/Mo Salah scenario. Lucio needs and deserves a new contract to reward his efforts. We can't afford to lose him. Our attacking front is better with him in the team.

I saw that interview as well and thought the same thing. They are blowing this out of proportion because what his father said was a two second respond. It might be that the translation was bad, because what he said in Spanish doesn’t reflect at all what they keep saying about his dad.

Why would you sell Diaz ? When he plays liverpool win. Simple. Look what happened last season when he was injured. Look what happened against Atalanta for not starting him. Liverpool is top of the league and will potentially win if him and the other attackers turn up !!!

He might be lacking in his finishing, but he never fails to impacts the game and be a constant headache for opposition , I still think he could get even better. Wouldn't sell him, he is crucial for the team. Also take into consideration his salary is one of the lowest in the senior team, even OX was earning more than him, plenty of room for a salary increase as well.
barca have already said they want to make felix and cancelo permanent which will cost atleast 100m combined then they want bernardo for 50m, no way they cough up enough for diaz atleast not this summer, next summer potentially. Also why would he go to PSG when his end goal is barca, they won’t offer him a 2 year contract it’ll be 4 atleast so it will collapse. There is the money side but with the rumours of us giving him a new contract so if we offer 75% of what PSG do we’ll get him, he’s currently on 57k a week which is a crime really for his talents so even if we triple that i’ll be content
Barça will only buy 30 y.o Cancelo for 20m at max and Felix 35m at max. Bc both are not wanted by their clubs. Barça's priority is to buy proper DM and Estevão who will arrive in 2025. Its true that Barça are also looking for LW but that depends on Raphinha/Ferran who are difficult to sell due to amortisation.

Assuming that Ruben Amorin comes in as the new manager and that he continues to deploy a 3-4-3 system, then it doesn't look like he will be needing too many (if any) wingers, unless, of course, he thinks that they can be made to play in another role like that of a wing-back or as an attacking midfielder or as a second striker - i.e. not as a main striker (number 9), which at the moment Darwin Nunez has been holding. Jota, who is arguably a winger, could potentially be deployed as a number 9, or at the very least as a second striker/attacking midfielder for he is presently more clinical at scoring than Nunez, but who knows whether Nunez will develop into such a player who doesn't waste opportunities. He has the potential. The question is what Amorim will think should be done with our present stock of wingers, Jota, Diaz, Gakpo, and Salah.

I don’t see how lucho leaves for Barca. I would sell him for 60m-70m and there’s no way Barca has that money and he probably doesn’t want to go to ligue 1 so unless he’s linked with another club he’ll probably stay at Liverpool but then again it depends what Amorim wants to do with him and if he fits his tactics.

Diaz is a great ball handler, but he's not a great finisher. In my opinion, he should be studying Fermino's style of play to become a better assist player and a better defensive player. In short, he should be helping players like Salah and Jota score more goals for LFC. YNWA!

If you want to win cups, buy them where they are won. Not from Africa. For example, there are few Italian or German players in the PL, even though they almost always beat the English teams.
Compare what Diaz has given to Liverpool compared to Thiago who is on almost £150 k per week more than Diaz, supporters cannot blame a player for what his family might say.
Is giving 100% having no end product? The only thing Diaz offers is work rate. That's not enough at the highest level.

Mr reliable, Mr consistent, and Mr passionate cannot be sold at all cost. Diaz just brings some of that flair that lacks in our game. Tbh Luis Diaz is my favourite player in Liverpool and I’ve always supported him even at his lows. I’d love him to stay because he brings this energy into the final third but if we do get a high amount of money and can bring another lw like him or possibly even better. Micheal Edwards will do so. Hes not an emotional person. Whatever he needs to do, he will do.

It's genuinely so hard to comment when I'm in that "glass is half empty" mode, but that performance on Thursday, and the performances leading up to that really did put me there I'm afraid. I cant quite think about the now, and I'm only looking at the future and Amorim ball. And for Amorim's style to come into fruition, I really feel some of our big players might have to move on. I see Virgil, Luchito and Mo all going. And whilst it really bothers me to say it, I think Trent might go as well.
