I relate to the beginning of this video so much. I go through phases as well. The game gets so boring after playing it for hours on end, I usually play for a few months straight. Then I gradually get worse and worse with my racing skills/techniques and it gets to a point where I have no motivation to play and then I usually go on a break for a while.
I used to love this game. But now it's so hard to find and get a match, cause you get either immediately kicked or you spend 10 min waiting for them to press GO. 🙄

I played OG Alicia and was happy to be in close contact with the people who help with the private server. But after getting the inside scoop about sexual harassment and verbal abuse, I just don't play anymore. My time on AO is over, and I wish those ladies who work on the art would also just leave for their own peace of mind. It just leaves a sour taste in my mouth. Glad people still enjoy it though.
I think this video turned out to be pretty funny. And oh men I forgotten about this game. I used to play it with some old friends but it gotten just so competitive. I will say that I'm glad the people who make this game are still updating it that cool there keeping it going.
There's so much drama involved with this game.. I can't stand it. This game has so much potential, but the owner (Alex) refuse to do anything with it. He criticizes and bashes people who give him advice, and his dev team consists of people he hired from his discord that just simply agree with his statements. There's like so many videos on the matter. It's why I quit. The game has no future at this rate, and hes honestly better off selling it back to the original developers, who gave us more content like dismounting our horses, different breeds and sizes, more quests to do, etc. I'm not saying the "Old Alicia" was better, because it had its flaws, but the "New" one is getting no where, and the developer doesn't want it to. He also threatened to ban all American players at one point so I just took that as my sign to leave lmao. Not to mention the toxic community that is built around Alicia. Most of which just support Alex, because there's literal proof that he personally rewards these players. Anyways, I hope to see this game get somewhere but I doubt it, and I'm glad they are doing something a little different for once, but its not enough to bring me back to the game.
Careful with the claims you hear from the outside. videos done by people who never were part of the Team or can know the truth. Thank you. Especially what a nonsense to say "sell it back to the original" when the game was never bought. That already proves how much you "know". Leave ppl to simply enjoy the game, which is being worked on by volunteers for the players who have missed the game. "personally reward these players", where are you even getting these ideas from? also how about finally leaving the past behind and move on

The Free Realms Sunrise volunteer project, they're working on getting the launcher and website up but they're concerned about the lack of funding to keep the servers up, but they are far enough I think playing the game again might be available in 2023???

I used to have AO but my PC detected it as a trojan virus, so I deleted it along with resetting my PC to get rid of it. I am not reinstalling it unfortunately, but it was a REALLY good/fun game. Does anyone know of familar games that are close in gameplay and graphics to AO on PC? Preferably free. (I don't mind buying a game though) I really love the horse racing aspect and AO captures it perfectly. So if anyone could drop recommendations that would be greatly appreciated!! :)
