Yeah hand held shots why not… but take the cam of the gimbel, put it back horizontally, next shot is from tripod, take the cam of the gimbel put the Ninja back on make the shot, take it of, adjust the shit put it back on horizontal and don’t forget to hurry next shot is waiting 😂
We can do that, but it’s not 1 film no more we’re talking about 2 now (or a least 1,5 times more work.) it’s a second edit as well…hope you getting payed for the extra work🎉
Yea it's definitely not ideal for every shooting scenario. Handheld makes the most sense to be shooting both horizontal and vertical shots of the same thing. In the specific instance I mentioned, I knew before shoot day that they needed two edits anyway, which I was obviously getting paid for, so I figured I'd try out this method of shooting and I was happy I did. But I still stand by the overall notion of embracing vertical video. I know a lot of people are still kind of hating on the format, so I still think it's important to embrace it and get creative with it.
