Great breakdown. Love it for a middie-centric offense.

Such a great video...never seen this look written out before; really helpful for a midfield-heavy lineup. Udaman!

Broken down perfectly. Those attack men just chill their at GLE. Sometimes they get used as safety outlets before running it again from the other direction.

So if the ball starts behind what were they doing then? (great vid btw)

They like to run "Double Doubles" Essentially a dodge clear through follow motion with the attack and a backside exchange with the midfielders. That was a part of their other motion offense though.

So what I'm hearing Duke is attempting to attack a ss each time and if it's from the corners they are popping off crease with a mirror action, fading middle, cutting opposite. If the dodge is from middle they are doing the fade/follow action with no pop off crease? or is this 2 separate offenses? If I'm hearing right, It's a combo

It's a combo. If the short stick matchups are already on the crease and up top, they will try to attack the middle with the fade and follow from a 3-3. If the short stick matchups are on the corners, they will dodge (mostly sweeping to the middle) and rotate so that the short sticks get to the crease and up top and begin attacking the middle with the fade and follow. Occasionally, they will dodge the alleys. This seems to be only when they are dodging from top right (Goalie View) because the mirror puts Justin Guterding up top and able to come off the pick down the alley with his left hand.

so the bottom two attack just stand on the GLE

Yes, they try to sneak, or move in and out and find skip lanes. Then, if there is an adjacent slide, they are the 2nd pass and try to turn the corner and score. We've been working with a different way of running it with slips and exchanges as well.
