    Good video Olly.
Not much chance of a good nights sleep on a solo wild camp as you will always be on the alert, still it's a great achievment and has to be done, so well done you. 👍🙂

Nice. I've not seen anyone camping in the Quantocks, looks nice.

      Hi Kev,
I'm always surprised by the lack of UA-camrs camping here. I did get a telling off on Twitter for doing so... ;-) But I wasn't the only wild camper on this night.
Thank you for watching, for commenting and for subscribing. I'll be walking in South Wales this weekend. Hope you have a good one.

Going to do this tomorrow, lived here 14 years but never decided to camp on Quantocks. Great video.

I hope your camp's gone well! Of course, it's 'not allowed' but with discretion and without leaving a trace, well, I'm not the first to have succeeded. ;-)
Thanks for watching and all the best.

Messy bugger Olly - cleaned up nice though. Soak up the fine views, no trace and off to find a camp. It's always an unknown isn't it? But that's the adventure. A pretty good pitch in the end - I mean a tucked away area with some aesthetics. Beautiful walk back Olly and a nice fresh morning. I love them mornings. Well, good going for the first camp for a while. All the best. Mark

      Hey Mark,
I was glad to have made my way back down there and to have enjoyed a bit more of this camp than my last. A better pitch. Undisturbed.
I've been wanting to do the same again recently, but for energy levels and another illness. I did another film after recording this one but have still yet to edit and upload. But hopefully soon!
Hope your week's going well and you're surviving the week. All the best, Mark.

@@WalksWithOlly That's good to hear that a large part of the trip worked out Olly. Hey, I know what you mean about the energy levels - I speak about that in my recent video. Just haven't been able to get out for injury and depression. But we keep healthy and will win through. I look forward to your next video. My week has been productive thanks. Peace.

Nice camp Olly. Looked a really nice location too. I really must get a wild camp in myself soon. Just never seem to find the time or weather window!

      Hi Anthony,
I've seen some of your recent walk videos. Surprised you've not been for a camp in a while though.
Hope you're having a good weekend and it's not too grey up there today... All the best.

Looks a lovely and peaceful place for a spot of wildcamping. Always wonderful to hear a Cuckoo. Just getting into wildcamping myself, although staying local for now as I'm a bit agoraphobic! Cheers, Olly, from a hot and sunny South Wales! Jeremy.

      Hi Jeremy,
Staying local is not a bad idea at all. Sometimes we can put too much emphasis on the 'need' to go to a specific location... As you might see in my next video!
Thanks for watching and for your comment. Hope you're having a good weekend (and that it's less grey on your side of the Bristol Channel right now).

@@WalksWithOlly Hi Olly, Just stopped raining here, but more expected soon! Going on my first woodland camp for a while tonight - I do like being in the tent when the rain is falling outside - quite a soothing sound. Look forward to your next video! J.

Fantastic video Olly, definitely missing the wild camping this year but will need to invest in a bigger tent to get the dog in with me (my little Alpkit soloist is cramped with just me, let alone the pooch 😂)
Have never got round to visiting the Quantocks which seems criminal given how little the journey is from Bristol, definitely going to have to pop down sometime after seeing some of the views you had!

      Hi Luke,
I haven't yet done another camp since this video, although the intent's been there. I'm surprised you've not been to the Quantocks and I'd highly recommend it! Some of the roads are popular with cyclists. Mountain bikers love the hills and forest trails.
I'm sure you'll enjoy, however you travel. All the best and have a great weekend.

@@WalksWithOlly it's always been on my "to do" list and then somehow I end up in the Brecon Beacons, Mendips or Cotswolds again 😂
