There are three double diamonds in Fo'town. One between Main Street and the underpass where the old B&O crosses the old N&W or Nickle Plate, one at Columbus Avenue where the old N&W crosses the C&O, and one about 1/8 mile to the south where the old B&O crosses the old C&O. I lived near that area.
The lights and gates leading to the track that the train is on are the only ones that will come on. Otherwise, a vehicle between the two tracks/crossings would get stopped by a train on the crossing behind them. I've seen that a numerous other crossings where the tracks are separated with crossing signals set up like separate crossings.
This is an awesome video!! I see how that crossing is, the 2 outer signals are the main ones that are supposed to descend their gates normally when a train comes on either track. The inner signals are the ones that tell which track the train is running on and whichever track it is on, said signal will then descend its crossing gates. That is a very cool layout and I really like both of those trains. Awesome catches man!!!
back in 1995, spent a week in illinois photoing those new atsf silver and red engines. from the mississippi river, to chicago area. edelstein hill, etc. even saw a 4 engine red consist of f and fp 45s on a wb. what impressed me was atsf use of old gp30-35s on the mainline.
I LOVE THIS INTRO. I WAS HALF ASLEEP LISTENING TO THE ROAR OF TRAINS. THEN I HEARD THE BABY CHICK CHIRPING. I WAS LIKE WTF AND OPENED MY EYES AND SAW COFC "CHICKEN ON FLAT CAR" ! LOL THAT JUST MADE ME SMILE! REPORTING MARKS ON THAT CAR SHOULD BE KFCX! BTW THERE IS ONE VID YOU HAVE WITH A SHOT OF YOUR HORSE IN THE POND AND THEN GOT OUT AND RAN WITH ONE OF YOUR DOGS. THAT WAS A NICE CATCH! GOOD JOB JT!
Ha!! The Chick look liked he had a fun time he’s a speical load!! I used to put my toads in a gondola and they would look around in amazement Nice Trains!!
Hmph. Learn something new everyday. As many times as I've been to Fostoria and have seen the NKP, I knew that the main line went SW then eventually west to Ft. Wayne, while a separate branch went to Lima.....but I didn't know that they created enough of a gap to need 4 RR crossing signals en route to doing so.
Almost got caught last nite coming home from work, on the CSX main line by my home (Belleview FL). No I did NOT go thru the gates! But I hung out on the road when I saw the signal on. Ran up Front St. alongside, for as far as the road runs along the track, to get a good look. Two BNSF and a CSX (no warbonnet), clipping along about 50 mph. Not (yet) knowledgeable enough to know make and model of these locomotives. I've always been fascinated by trains (at a time when girls weren't supposed to be interested in those), but between that nearby track and these vids, it's really coming out. Need to go hang out by the track and film some trains, even if this phone is all I have to film with. Thanks to you and Millenniumforce for stirring up the interest.
yes,i see it,manny cookies, lol.in Fostoria is one webcam bij one café,a few years back i have chat with a nice whoman,al that info is on mine crased HD on win XP.that is shitt.
This spot looks very familiar. I know a spot in MO. where BNSF , Galesburg/KC main and NS Decatur/KC main run parallel. Nice catch with the meet. I've never seen a train on one main stop for a train on another main to pass . Must have been a horrible accident there to get this much cooperation out of competing roads ! Is this near MOBERLY MO. ? West of Hannibal MO. .
Thank you Gary! That chicken is 2 days old. It was stuck in a briar in some weeds and I freed it. After a few minutes it was running all over the place and I had to return it to its mother. Lol.
On most of your videos you say that there are no actors except Jaw Tooth. Please clarify, was that baby duck an actor? If so, a great piece of method acting.
We have a rail corridor along tge Lake Erie shore from Hamburg, NY to State Line, PA. For 60+ miles, CSX runs the former NY Central Chicago line, dual tracks that used to be 4 tracks before the early 1960's. Outboard, away from the lake, is the former Pennsylvania RR single line, now run by Norfolk & Southern. I don't have a count of the grade crossings, but there's 55 to 75 I would guess. Quite a few elevated sections with dual bridges including through the city of Dunkirk, NY. Amtrak also runs the Chicago line east and west through this area. If you want to ever get some mainline action on you videos, and end up ouyt this way, let me know. I can be your "Native Guide"!!! Ham radio guy, plus train nut, my call is WB2VUO here near Buffalo, and I am good on QRZ...
I found it stuck on a briar laying on its back outside and it couldn't move. I brought it in the house to get the briars off of it and thought it would look funny riding on the train. Once it realized it could move again, it started running all over the train set so I took it back outside to its mother. There were four of them hatched a couple days ago.
I found 4 baby chickens that just hatched a couple days ago. This one got stuck in some briars so I took it in the house to get the briars off of it and returned it to its mother. Pretty cute wasn't it!
I always look for odd railroad crossings. Did you see my videos of the 12 track crossing in Tennessee, the 10 track crossing in Ohio and the 9 track in Florida? I find them on Google Maps and then drive to them
You should see the long trains that go down the middle of the road here. Check out my street running videos or my video called What Happens When Railroad Crossings Malfunction? Etc
Love the unscripted action. LOL on the model railroad action. Excellent video Brian.
Thank you very much!
How many people noticed that only three of the crossing gates went down
Joels Train wtf
I think since the other one close to the moving train went down already blocking any cars from getting on the other line so probably to save power
The two on the track where the train actually is, and toe one on the opposite side to keep from there being vehicles between the tracks.
Though it was faded to pink , AT&SF 944-CW looked great ! To bad it wasn't the lead unit ! Jaw you have done it again ! AT&SF. LIVES
Very good video. Two smooth running trains. Good camera work as usual. Enjoyed it much. Thanks.
Looks like you had a lot of fun making this video. Love the scenes.
I noticed a double diamond in the southern part of Fostoria. That would make a great video, JT. A lot of railroads in Fostoria, wow!!!
I love Fostoria! I go there every summer

That is a weird crossing. Lol Cool video btw!
This is an awesome video!! I see how that crossing is, the 2 outer signals are the main ones that are supposed to descend their gates normally when a train comes on either track. I thought it was interesting also and the way that a couple of them flash with the bars staying up. Thanks for watching!
Hello, Very Intersting...Poor little chicks but it seems, chicks enjoyed it! good to see Rail Road in Ohio and trains.. Huge one!..

Got the same set-up in Fairport where two lines cross main street and even works for the drawbridge.
MRS Tooth did great job of filming.
Thank you Bill!

Thank you Gary! That chicken is 2 days old. It was stuck in a briar in some weeds and I freed it. After a few minutes it was running all over the place and I had to return it to its mother. Lol.

Great train catch too Jaw (;ö)
that NS at 2:16 was so beautiful without so much grafiti
How many times you been told not to put squeaky on your model train set?
Only a few times but only by Squeaky. Lol
@@JawTooth Remember what happened the last time, he peed on the crossovers and shorted out the whole set.
Hi Jaw tooth why don't they make it one crossing ?
Very Nice!
Beautiful -Like Bye Annarè
lot's of these in Perry/Madison, Ohio and Eire County PA

The EL and Big 4 ran like this between Marion and Galion, Ohio...
Had the same set up in the penncentral days in Fairport NY
nice catch!
Nice one!
drive that way everyday to and from work most of the tracks between Fostoria and Arcadia on the NS line is that way only 3 of 4 gates lower
Nice catches
Thank you!
+Jaw Tooth why does 3 of 4 gates go down?
Is it to block traffic so they don't stop on the tracks in case of another train. Is that it?
Thumb up for you
nice model railway with the chicken.
Thats my model railway that my grandkids play on. One of these days when I get time I will clean it up a little and put it back together
i now it,same here, lol.never ending job, lol.oh,the girl in Fostoria was in Rileys Railhouse by one big railcrossing the Horse shoe curve.

Great catches especially the mechanical bell. I got more videos uploaded
Reply to get insurance for chick trains
New miniature horn lol
cool video
Is that malinieforce
Kinda like Locust St in Walton!
It is a little since there are 2 different rail lines paralleling each other. Good to hear from you again John!
Brian how come there was a baby bird on the toy train
I found it stuck on a briar laying on its back outside and it couldn't move. I brought it in the house to get the briars off of it and thought it would look funny riding on the train. Once it realized it could move again, it started running all over the train set so I took it back outside to its mother. There were four of them hatched a couple days ago.
0:01 Lol that little chick on that flatcar.
There also this type of crossing in Indiana where NS and METRA run parallel
Thumbs up!
Awww its a bird on a trian at the beginning
I found 4 baby chickens that just hatched a couple days ago. This one got stuck in some briars so I took it in the house to get the briars off of it and returned it to its mother. Pretty cute wasn't it!
Jaw Tooth
yeah
+Jaw Tooth nice catch on the warbonnet
also i saw a Santa Fe on the second train
I guess when 1 train comes, the gates at both crossings go down.
That must be a Texas railroad and a Texas bred chic because it 1/3rd the size of the car and we all know every thing is bigger in Texas.
There are a lot of crossings like that. one near where I live
Great!
Nice
Thank you!
I have seen something like that it was a 5 track lane railroad crossing
I always look for odd railroad crossings. Did you see my videos of the 12 track crossing in Tennessee, the 10 track crossing in Ohio and the 9 track in Florida? I find them on Google Maps and then drive to them
Jaw Tooth ok and I have seen them before
Cool, then you have seen my best one. I have a good pedestrian crossing with gates and lights in Columbus, Ohio. Those are hard to find in my area.
like and subscribe for you man😁
Im glad i live in the England as i would hate to wait for trains that long to coss a level crossing
You should see the long trains that go down the middle of the road here. Check out my street running videos or my video called What Happens When Railroad Crossings Malfunction? Etc
