I didn’t have any 5mm cord on hand so I used 3mm cotton cord with a 2” ring. I ended up with twenty loops total on the ring and 6 feet of cord worked perfectly. I made three of them, one in mint green, one in sage green and one in red. I only had white satin ribbon on hand so I used that. All three turned out so cute! They are so simple to make that I’m going to teach my 6 year old granddaughter how to make them. She’s just getting into macrame and always wants me to show her a new knot and a new pattern to make.
I just watched this on Pinterest and came here specifically to tell you how fabulous you are. Your tutorial is the best I’ve seen on this art. Your movements are clear and not rushed. You’ve made this ornament the actual first one I’ve watched where I’ve thought wow..get some of that stuff and let’s get started I can actually do that. Thank you so very much. You can bet I’ll be watching more of your videos. A lot of people start out with best intentions but I think they forget quickly they have newbies following who get confused very easily and we lose our way.
You have by far the best tutorials on UA-cam. I love how clear your instructions are! I will definitely be making these lovely ornaments. Thanks so much and Merry Christmas!
@@soulfulnotions2648 it is my pleasure!!! I’ve made three ornaments just now and I can’t tell you the joy it gives me. I’m making them for friends, family and colleagues and my boss told me yesterday when I let him choose his two ornaments (made only yours so far), he told me I’m a Christmas elf. This has been a tough year for so many so it’s nice to spread some cheer and brighten someone’s day. Who doesn’t love homemade ornaments! Thank you again and keep up the great work! ❤️
