    Hey Matt! Have started playing smart, stress free golf, playing lay ups and working from the green backwards, and I'm having so much more fun! Who would have thought not losing a ball every second hole would be more fun haha!

    About the 5th time that ive watched this vid. Its like fine wine. It gets better every time. What works for me is that you emphasize what you shouldnt do instead of what you should do. Broke 80 for the first time around two weeks ago. Waddalife

    Played my first round using the stress free golf. Shot 85 on a course I have never broken 90. I need to work on my chipping big time to get up and down more.

    Beat Horne and Robins to the comments... love the sub 80 system so ty, seems to work for me. Broke 80 twice last week with a 79 and 76 without any doubles. Two goals ticked off, now to concentrate on hcp💪🏽

    Brother it's cool and it's fun 13:59. Play the chess game, execute the strategy. The course is going to take it's shots at you, be smart. That's why I love this channel.

    Hmmm, I did not intend jumping on the band wagon, but after binge watching most of your videos (sorry, vlogs), I have completely bought into the “WOTP, super stress free 6-6-6 system process methodology. Seems some subscribers don’t realize yet that there’s a progression from breaking 100 to lower scores, and that all are on some level “results oriented”...an 80 is a different result than 90!
    Love your channel, love your attitude, love the content and wish you and all the playas a steady enjoyment of the game, regardless of results!
    Here in Canada I expect ten centimetres of snow tonight...can’t wait for spring! By the way, playa-in-chief, when are you replenishing the store?

    I broke 80 for the very first time last week and I have to say, it was the most stress free round of golf that I can ever remember playing. My round started out a little rough (Hole 1: 3 putt bogey, Hole 2: +3, Hole: 3 +1), but I never felt rattled and the 666 Sub 80 System definitely came into play: 8 GIR, 5 Par Saves, 6 Over Par Holes.

    Matt, another great video. As you know, so much of this game is played between our ears. Dani is a great asset for you on the course and I love how she is always doing some sort of maintenance on "her" course as you play your round. She's a true team mate.

  • @ml9316
    @ml9316 4 роки тому

    I really like this. I definitely have come to recognize that I give away 4-5 strokes a round by not getting up and down. I like when you say stuff like “there are always birdies ahead of you”. I’ve been trying to use that to not give up after a bad approach or double bogey.

    Those nkie were baus! Nothing black market about those! Actually, I use the think box and play box method, once I go in to play box, no more thinking, I just think execute, but now I need a new word as I'll just think eggs are cute and think of this video and think of UA-cam and my WiFi bills and blammo, shankapotumus. Clear your mind and strike! Great video again Matt, when I hopefully get to this level but I sort of use this system anyhow to break 90, just play smart, know your limitations, and know bogey ain't bad.....

    I love your videos. They have completely changed my perspective on how to play golf. As you have suggested many times I practice putting 3-5' a lot. I've also watched your vlogs on how to read greens. That said I can't believe how accurate you are with really long putts - not just direction but distance as well. How are you so good at judging pace? Are most of the greens at the courses you play really similar so you just know how hard to hit 20-30' foot putts all the time or do you have some secret for adjusting the pace of your putts at different courses/greens? (OT but I think dog legs are measured through the pivot points, not as the crow flies).

    I had shocking head worms today. Lots of groundskeeper’s working the course and in the target zone most of the time. I worry about hitting them even though they know you’re there. It’s my number one pet hate and I usually end up playing terrible shots because they’re in my line of sight. How do you deal with distractions that you can’t do anything about? Any suggestions?

    I hang out for your vids. They are awesome. Unfortunately my headworms are beyond bad. Should I just persist with a fade/slice as it’s most stress free, or try and alter my swing to straighten it out and draw it a bit. I can shape it either way on the range. 😩

    • @GolfSidekick
      @GolfSidekick  5 років тому +1

      Go for a lesson. Get the pro to help you with one direction ball shape and then go from there. Dont do it yourself playa. Save yourself months of problems and pay a pro for 1-3 hours of his time.

  • @coreyl6221

    On hole 11 when put the graphic stating 2 iron further up would be better despite being closer & having that 50 yard shot, was that because that takes those trees you were nearly behind out if play? Just curious to your decision process there. Great birdie music psych out Bruh!

    • @GolfSidekick
      @GolfSidekick  5 років тому +2

      Yes the thing with the 2 iron is I would always be past those trees. I mean I didn't catch all of that 4 iron.
      I think a solid 4 iron further left would be fine but to be SURE, I think a 2 iron would be in a better spot even with a mis strike. I don't want to be working the wedges too much under and around trees. Especially to the toughest green on the course

    • @coreyl6221
      @coreyl6221 5 років тому

      @@GolfSidekick Thought that was the case but didn't see how much room there was left of 4i shot to play with. I think 2 figure handicap golfers (like myself) struggle with those decisions or realistically weighing those risks. Thanks Baus!

      Driver SRIXON Z785

      SRIXON ZU85 2 iron
      SRIXON Z745 4,5,6 iron with Project X 6.5 shafts
      SRIXON Z945 7,8,9,PW Project X 6.5 shafts
      CLEVELAND 50° Reg 588
      TAYLORMADE milled grind 54°
      MIZUNO T10 58° wedge which I want to get rid of for something better suited to soggier ground, but it's so dam lethal fro the bunkers that I will probably keep it as a bunker wedge and use the TM milled grind 54 for lofted chips.
      CLEVELAND Thor's Hammer Putter, dunno the name of it

    This video was so long, I actually dozed off. In my dream, I heard sensuous jazz music playing. Suddenly, I became very hot for those lime green pants. So hot, I awoke, heart pounding out of my chest, and sweating profusely. I thought, damn, I missed the rest of the video. But no! The never ending video was still playing! There you were, sucking at golf and blaming it on your back, and telling us how we suck at golf, and I smiled, realizing all is well in the world. 👍⛳❤

    Playa, I'm shit. I could shoot 80-89, easily. But instead I shoot 100-110... It's infuriating. I follow the way of the playa... But tbh, I just can't hit the ball consistently in a direction.
    I work my ass off, ruler drill at home A LOT, still can't putt to save my life.
    Can't chip well.
    Long to mid irons and hybrid are meh.
    Drivers... Awful.
    I'm losing the will with it tbh. Feel like I'm close to quitting.
    Practice is not the issue. I just don't seem to learn, or improve.
