    Let me take what you said about oil a bit further. Water=Moisture/hydration , oil=sealant. Most quality products made for natural hair already have oils in them. If you look at most ingredient lists they have oil, butters in them because if we just put water on our hair it will evaporate faster without a sealant. some people can use oils and grow extremely long hair so you are right naturals need to find what works for them.

      Exactly! For me I found that I love the way my hair feels without oil. But if you feel like oil works for you keep using it. I was more so talking about overuse.

    the whole oil situation depends on your hair, cause naptural85 loves hair oils and her hair flourishes

      So I stopped using oils because I don't shampoo my hair anymore. I wouldn't have a to way to properly cleanse the oils from my scalp, so I just avoid them altogether. But again, that's my thing and its worked out for me!

    Your hair is beautiful. Most of the things that you say to stop doing are the same things many people that have grown their hair to waist-length have done. If it's so bad, then how can it work for so many people? They're ALL exceptions to the rule?

    • @SimoneNicole
      @SimoneNicole  4 роки тому +3

      I don't think that what I do is the end all be all. It is what has worked for me. Since I started following these rules for myself, my hair has seen SO much growth. I don't think those other UA-camr's journey's are less valid than mine, more like different strokes for different folks

    How would I get my natural hair to grow longer? I usually use the blow dryer about 3 times a month but my hair hardly grow there's a big difference when my mom see it but when I do I can't really see a difference like she says she does,also I don't press or flat iron it I did get a perm like twice but that was years ago... Please reach out to me I want help and or advice from you I love your videos even though I just now heard about you..🤗🙆🏿‍♀️💆🏿‍♀️🙍🏿‍♀️💙❤️💜🧡

    • @SimoneNicole
      @SimoneNicole  4 роки тому +4

      Well I would say to stop blow drying your hair for now and see if that makes a difference. The mild heat might not be the issue, but if there's a chance that it is I'd let it go for a month and see if you notice a change. Also look into the products that you are putting on your hair. I recently uploaded a video about some of my favorite products, so you can check that out. You could even try rice water rinsing (which I also did a video on) to see if that helps. Now is the time to experiment seeing as we are all sitting in the house lol

      Try mini braids with no added hair, you can shampoo, condition and moisturise and seal the braids too. Be gentle during installation and takedown, easy length retention.

    I agree with most. But you can never over due protective styles. I was tailbone. Big chopped. Bra strap in a year. I live in protective styles. I love my Cantu. So its a case by case I guess. I live in colorado and the cantu does its thing. We all gotta try what works for us. Real life id never stop using oils. I get olive oil and poor it on there than rise. Water is important. Vitamins are bomb. What? You have to be healthy inside and put. Biotin is the ish. Girl I cant
