to be honest, i don't think i've ever *loved* any of it. i've mentioned before, that, my biggest gripe with every piece is the treatment of Miku's voice. It's not even that they did nothing to it... to me she doesn't sound default but she also doesn't sound inviting or pleasing. every piece that Transient Energy was involved in-Miku sounds very monotone and lifeless. in some cases it's also the lyrics that don't mesh nor sound melodic... nonetheless, a lot of it has potential and the main reason for this channel is the picture matching and sometimes when i find the right one, i appreciate the song more.
@@keerosah9970 thats interesting. we all have our own likes dont we. The robotic Miku style is what I like about it, at first I didnt like it but it grew on me over time. I find I can put an album on and listen all the way through. PS yea I love that pic too :)
@@keerosah9970 Hard agree. The instrumentation is fine for trance, but something is off in the vocals. I think Transient Energy's melodies are unusually empty of theme. Most of them don't repeat, elaborate, or go anywhere in particular; they just move up and down within a two-octave range. A lot of the time they're so unstructured and unrelated to the rest of the piece that they squeeze out everything else. You can hear that in this one: from about 1:00 to 3:00 the rest of the music is purely bass and percussion. Nothing else is going on because nothing else _can_ go on. The lol project remixes and collabs with other artists are often better. I think there's a selection effect, where the tracks that get remixed are the ones that suffer less from this tendency. Sometimes a remix or collab is structured as 1. the original melody followed by 2. a novel elaboration by the other composer. This can make for a very clear contrast. I think a good example of this is bluster, a collab with Barrage. Before and after 2:47 may as well be two different pieces of music.
What happened to your subscription count? I swear it was closing in on 2K when I looked last time! Then one day I went back to your channel and it was a completely different number. Im like: "what the....."??. I know youre not wild about transient energies colabs, but i think they're actually well done. Cool choice on the artwork as well!
