The song is made in a French village. The Tour the France took place there. The advertisement for the tour was girls. The song also came from there. The documentary "Queen- Days of Our Lives" explains this.
Awesome! The "get on your bikes and ride" lyric is a connection to the companion song "bicycle race". I don't want to spoil the surprise but the music video for that song was in a word "daring". So check it out!
Saw Queen in concert right after this came out. They did a song called "Bicycle Race" right after this and during the song a bunch of "Fat Bottomed Girls" came out topless riding bicycles on stage. "Hey Warriors, come out and play-ay!" One of the best bad movies I ever saw. If I remember correctly I saw it either just before or just after I saw Star Wars for the first time in the same movie theater. Son of Sam was hunting "Fat Bottomed Girls" in his own way at the time.
Great song and great reaction! Queen needs to be watched live. They take every song to an 11+!!! Trust me, watch Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen live at Milton Keys. It will BLOW you away!! Great choice, thanks!
Lead guitarist Brian May (also an astrophysicist & animal rights champion) wrote this naughty little ditty for Freddie because he admired curvy ladies (& a bit of padding on guys too). Gentlemanly Dr. May also wrote "Tie Your Mother Down", another naughty little ditty you might like. And I love "Warriors", especially the Baseball Furies (looked a little like Kiss) & that pounding electronic soundtrack!💙
Thanks! When word gets out you shouldn't have a problem getting to 100K cause Queen fans are mighty in numbers! Good Luck! While we're in this genre of "girls" follow up on the line "Get on your bikes and ride." by watching this particular video: "QUEEN Bicycle Race music video (followed by the making of)" You'll be glad you did... LOL
In 1984, Queen released the album “The Works”. On that Album Queen recorded a Christmas song, “Thank God it’s Christmas”. To my disbelief, I could never understand why I NEVER HEARD it during the Christmas/Holiday Season, right up there with “Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer”, REALLY?!?! Anyway, it’s well known that Freddie’s most loved Holiday was Christmas. Ironically, in November 1991, one month before Christmas, he died from complications from AIDS. In the song “Thank God it’s Christmas” Freddie sings about how happy he was able to celebrate Christmas: Partial Lyrics: Thank God it's Christmas! For. One. Night. Can it be Christmas? Let it be Christmas Every day! I’m not the type to do this, but due to my EXTREME PASSION FOR QUEEN, I’m sending this comment to ALL MY NEWEST QUEEN FANS I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO. Especially the ones that HAVE RECENTLY BEGUN REACTING TO QUEEN. This is my suggestion, since Christmas is right around the corner, I would appreciate it if Queen Fans, New and Old, make Queen’s “Thank God it’s Christmas “THE CHRISTMAS SONG OF 2019”, although it is 35 years of not being recognized. Please consider and spread the word. Sincerely Original Fat Bottom Girl from Old HB NYC, I’m not Freakin kidding!!!!!!
Nope. Definitely about big booty women. Also it was released as a double A sided single with the song BICYCLE Race. Not MOTORCYCLE Race. Oh and the cover picture of the single was a big booty woman riding a bicycle.
Hey you picked a great song from Queen for the first song I'm over being a kid listening to this sitting on a pontoon boat fishing and the song has stuck with me ever since then
FBG was written by bassist John Deacon. He wrote songs based his personal life. This song plus "You're my best friend" and "Somebody to Love" he wrote about his wife. John wrote about 50% of the band's songs. Brian May (guitarist) wrote the anthems like We will rock you, We are the Champions, Flash and Hammer to Fall. Drummer Roger Taylor a number songs like Stone Cold Crazy, I'm in love with my car & These are the Days. Freddie wrote Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, One Vision & The Love of my Life. I'm happy that the black community is getting to know Queen and their music but to know the knowledge of the band is educational. Queen is the staple of the rock music genre by being different which makes them instant legends, for acts like Queen and Michael Jackson brings all communities together no matter what race or religion you are but these people brought us together for good quality and highly popular music that the world fell in love with.
FAT Bottomed Girl here, & couldn't be happier, when QUEEN represented us, in this song!!! LOL Loved your reactions, & please do more of QUEEN, & you are going to love this journey, they are truly one of a kind, & amazing talent, that cover many genres, and trailblazers on construction on songs, and can you not LOVE Front man Freddie !!! ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
Princes of the Universe was in the movie “Highlander”, which happens to be, in my opinion, the best Freddie ever looked. Sincerely Original Fat Bottom Girl from Old HB NYC.
Freddy was dying at the time of this. he put out one more album with his best friend David Bowie right after this called Innuendo where he basically told everybody that he was dying of AIDS
Every member of Queen wrote number 1 hits. They are the only band ever to have every member a class songwriter... not even the Beatles achieved this! BTY, Brain May on lead guitar is also a Dr. of Astrophysics from Oxford Universe, England.
I’m glad you like this, (go read the lyrics) yes I am a big booty girl ( White and I work with a lot of people that comment on my booty) but this is my song! 1978. Love the warriors!!! “Warriors come out and play!”
Brian May song, actually - he and Roger (drummer) had an affinity for the "rocker" songs.. it was featured on the album "Jazz" and as part of an album promotion Queen sponsored a nude bicycle race -- see also the song: "Bicycle" - in which there is a line: "fat-bottomed girls they'll be riding today... so look out for those cuties, oh yeah" - this album also featured one of their more well-known (today) songs - "Don't Stop me Now" - although it wasn't much of a charter at the time... looking forward to more Queen reactions from you... thanks!
Great reaction. I think your next one should definitely be it's sister song. Bicycle race. It fits with Freddy's line in this song get on your bike and ride. It was Queen pushing the boundaries like they normally did.
This song is from the 1978 album JAZZ. Bicycle Race is also on this also and they mention The Fat Bottom Girls Will Riding Today. There is a poster that came inside this album that is 4 album sections long full of naked women sitting on bicycles.
Absolute legends amazing band an performers thanku for doing this .. love your channel. .variety is the spice of life. ..think your great. .love an god bless x
Not being able to use headphones is truly your loss considering the fact that Queen, as well as all the music from the era is real music. No auto tune or computerization. You don't know what you are missing sonically. You have my sympathy. Hope you get a new laptop soon.
If you react to more Queen songs you'll get to 100K. Queen fans are obsessed! As a big movie fan you need to watch the movie about Queen and Freddie. It came out last fall and it's called Bohemian Rhapsody and it's, of course on HBO now or you can rent it. It's not 100% accurate but close enough (it's a movie, not a documentary). It won all kinds of awards, especially for the actor, Rami Malek (from Mr. Robot on tv) who played Freddie.
you had me at 35 million movies 😂😂😂 I'm hoping the first Highlander movie is among those 35 mil. If not, I highly recommend it. Your boys in Queen did the music throughout.
This is my wife’s theme song! Just watched this for the first time and forced her to watch it with me. My 8yr old asked why and my wife said it was her theme song!
Freddie loved Christmas. He hoped he would get one more Christmas. Unfortunately, he died in November. BTW: Lets make Queen’s “Thank God it’s Christmas “THE” Christmas song of 2019. I have never heard it during the Christmas Season EVER!!!! Sincerely Original Fat Bottom Girl from Old HB NYC.
Excellent video and song. The video didn't get much airtime here in the US, stations were afraid of backlash. If you've never watched much British TV you don't quite get the crossdressing side of it, especially in humor like Monty Python. True comedic genius it was.
Yeah, I never realized that Freddie did resemble some of those guys from that movie until you pointed it out. 👍 This is my first time watching one of your videos. Your reaction, no, your face, was priceless at the beginning. I like what I see.
Hi ,loving your queen reactions , for well known songs you may have heard try , under pressure ,at Wembley live , and studio version of another one bites the dust , for some less known queen try cool cat ,written by John deacon bassist and sung by freddy , real Motown feel but great song ,thanks from Liverpool uk x
I am a “Fat Bottom Girl”, always been curvy and my man loves this song and my curves. He played this on one of our first dates and said it reminded him of me. I love him so much and I love Queen
This song was written by the guitarist, Brian May...Who just happens to hold a PhD in Astrophysics!
I love how he just sings backup with a perfectly straight face in this video as if he *didn't* write the song. :'D
You mean ASS-trophysics
@the shadowfax Bri apparently had a PhD THERE as well haha.
I wish they'd do a movie about him.
As a fat bottomed girl I fully endorse this song...
Me too
Me three !
Ana Parada I love them
🙌🙌🙌
Ain't nothing wrong with something to grab on to.
Queen are LEGENDS regardless of genre.
The song is made in a French village. The Tour the France took place there. The advertisement for the tour was girls. The song also came from there. The documentary "Queen- Days of Our Lives" explains this.
Clink clink clink clink "Warriors...Come out to plaa-i-aay!" Clink clink clink clink clink.......
Every band member in Queen wrote a number 1 hit. No other band in rock history has done that
They also each have more than one song in the songwriters Hall of Fame.
Never get tired Queen and watching ppl react the first time
Awesome! The "get on your bikes and ride" lyric is a connection to the companion song "bicycle race". I don't want to spoil the surprise but the music video for that song was in a word "daring". So check it out!
I second and third this heavily
I'm a 62 year old white boy, and I love watching your reactions to my old favorites!
58 year old white boy here too, and I whole Hartley agree. I love these reactions .
Saw Queen in concert right after this came out. They did a song called "Bicycle Race" right after this and during the song a bunch of "Fat Bottomed Girls" came out topless riding bicycles on stage.

lol where was this concert?
There wasn't an ounce of fat on any of them, least of all their arses
React to Somebody To Love live from Montreal. My all time favorite live performance. I recomend Live Aid too. 20+ min of music history.
Yes please !!! ❤️ 🧡 💛 💚 💙 💜
Great song and great reaction! Queen needs to be watched live. They take every song to an 11+!!! Trust me, watch Fat Bottomed Girls by Queen live at Milton Keys. It will BLOW you away!! Great choice, thanks!
"Get on yer bikes and RIDE!"

Deborah Cornell I do think Dr May is a bit of a ‘dark horse’ 😏😂
React to somebody to love live at montreal 1981 please, best live performance ever. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

This was as explicit as you could get and still get on the radio in the 70s. And radio was everything before MTV.
You should react to this songs by Queen: 🔥❤
• The Show Must Go On
• Somebody to Love
• Love of my Life (Wembley 1986)
•Another One Bites The Dust
With the exception of the show must go on, the live versions are fantastic. The only reason it isn’t better live is bc they never performed it live.

Thank God it's Christmas is my favourite Christmas song. Why they play all the other second rate songs I don't know.
Got to do Somebody To Love live Montreal...u will b blown away!
"Warriors, come out and play-yay." I remember
*clink* *clink*
Because I was born a fat bottomed girl, this is one of my favorite Queen songs.
Girls with the swaggin' wagon!!! LOL
#FatBottomedGirl we make the rockin' world go round. 😉
Amen!
The song is about motorcycles
Nope. Definitely about big booty women. Also it was released as a double A sided single with the song BICYCLE Race. Not MOTORCYCLE Race. Oh and the cover picture of the single was a big booty woman riding a bicycle.
Fat Botyomed Girls/Bicycle Race was a medley of two songs. Usually the radio stations would play them both together, going right into Bicycle Race.
Don't forget that Queen wrote and prepared the soundtrack for the great movie "Highlander."
Hey you picked a great song from Queen for the first song I'm over being a kid listening to this sitting on a pontoon boat fishing and the song has stuck with me ever since then

Somebody to love 81 Montreal MUST SEE!!!
Queen had girls come out topless on bikes riding all around on the stage when they did this song live.
Every member of Queen wrote number 1 hits. They are the only band ever to have every member a class songwriter... not even the Beatles achieved this!

“Get on your bikes and ride!” (The first pressing of Queen’s “Jazz” album came with a poster of nude women on bicycles).

I was one of them FBG *when* they were doin' this song! Gawd, I'd sure have taken him up on that ask, ANY old time, yeah! 😉😘🌞😘😉
This is a good example why Freddie Mercury was and still is the best singer there is.
I'm so stoked you brought up "The Warriors" Both the movie and the game! Fuck yeah! Come out and play!
The U.S. made its own version of this: "Baby Got Back!"
Dr. Brian May, the highly respected astrophysicists and english man wrote this song!

Unfortunately, he died in November.
