- 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' star Richard Lewis has died. He was 76. A rep for the comedian confirms the news to ET. Lewis shared his Parkinson's disease diagnosis last year, along with announcing his retirement from stand-up comedy after nearly 50 years.

I'm crying as I just heard the news. He always seemed so genuine and kind, and his scenes in curb were genuinely my favorites! I'm glad he's not in pain anymore, though. I feel for Larry and the rest of Mr. Lewis's loved ones. RIP Richard Lewis.

It all depends on how young you feel and how agile you are.
Both my parents are 76 now and very fit.
They could die any day, you never know at this age.
But my mother will daily cycle and often cycles twenty kilometers or more on her bicycle.
And my dad gets up at six in the morning to go fishing by himself, drives his car to France for a holiday, plays in a band and performs etc.
Just stay active, stay away from experimental vaccines/ mass hysteria/ stupidity, don’t drink (only some wine twice a year or so on truly special occasions), don’t smoke (occasionally a joint maybe) and don’t stress just relax (fuck authority figures and their bullshit and fuck society and the stupid masses, go your own way and enjoy life and your natural given freedoms).

Richard Lewis had the best timing. His dry, self deprecating sense of humor and authentic personality just made me crack up and thought he would be one of those reliable and hilarious friends that you just love being around. He will be missed. I can’t tell you how many times RL made me laugh and for that I’m grateful.

Richard followed my mother and I out of the Chateau Marmont down Sunset, chatting with us very friendly; we were all going in the same direction-we didn't know him but he was the most down to earth real person-what you see is what he was-egoless and purely honest...

is so crazy I was just watching that episode about the will and I was looking at them and I was like Larry David is it going to be so sad when he passes away. Little did I know it was going to be a few days later. I liked him on Curb.
Have loved Mr Lewis for forever. 😢 I will miss him. He was quite the creative spirit; his timing was everything. I loved his early days of comedy when he paced back and forth with his worrisome stuff - all pessimistic, but funny AF and relatable as all hell. My God, I'll miss him. He was beautiful. Death is unpredictable. When Richard Lewis and Larry David were both about 55 or 60, Larry looked 70 and Richard looked 40. Sometimes the guy that looks old first outlives the guy that looks in his prime. RIP to Richard. A great and sweet man.

I think that he was always like that though - anxiety & depression, focused on more dark parts of life, etc

I just saw the headline, I almost cried! You gotta see the episodes on CYE, when Richard and Larry help a blind man rearrange his apartment! Funny as he'll! Also, the episode when a woman thinks Richard is going to beat Larry with a baseball bat, so she hops in the driver's seat and runs Richard over with her car! The look Richard makes as the car is approaching him will have you crying laughing! People say that Leon, makes CYE, but Richard does it for me! Godamn Richcie boy, I love you!
The first episode you mentioned with the blind guy was the best and when they get done helping him all day they get back to the jewelry store and it's closed and Richard starts laughing his ass off and says shit happens. Classic!!!

I grew up watching Richard. I noticed his stiffness a couple of years ago, but I thought he was just aging. RIP to this legend❤

The first time I saw Richard Lewis was on Night Flight in a movie about a comedian; it;s called Diary of a Young Comedian, very indie low budget, endearingly so and hilarious .. I saw this is maybe 1982 or '83. I wish I could find that movie. God bless you, Richard. You touched us all.

I legit feel kinda sad for Larry when it comes to this. I'm not old enough to remember Richard Lewis from anything other Robin Hood Men in Tights, _Prince_ _John,_ and ofcourse Curb Your Enthusiasm but him and Larry seemed like legit best friends. side fact: he was one of the last people to work with John Candy when they did Wagons East together. That on its own is pretty cool to say you got to work with John Candy.
