I was going to say the same thing! Love that quote. I, too, believe the comment about your age must have been made by someone who is jealous! I'm 58 and my kids think I'm cool that I have a Revel! I still ski, mountain bike, kayak and hike as much as I can. You guys just keep doing you, because you are doing it great.
Not sure how old guys are, I just hit 60 and now it's time I get to play. Raised two boys, bought the big house, worked my ass off ....... I'm done acting like an adult! Glad you three are out playing as well!
I'm 74 and I am going to really (really!) enjoy the last quarter of my life. Never too old to enjoy life! The Revel is the conveyance taking you from place to place...comfortably, mind you. It can be a Mini Cooper...doesn't matter how you get there just enjoy the journey.
"Count your age by friends, not years. Count your life by smiles, not tears." - John Lennon "Aging is just another word for living." - Cindy Joseph "Getting old is like climbing a mountain; you get a little out of breath, but the view is much better!" - Ingrid Bergman "Anyone who keeps the ability to see beauty never grows old." - Franz Kafka “You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough.” - Mae West. Be seeing you!
You are never too old to Revel! Happy Maggie is feeling better and she sure enjoyed those burgers 😂. Happy Mother's Day Lynn! We miss ya'll. That spider was icky! Stay safe!
Episode heading: Ah c'mon, don't resort to click bait! I love your channel! Your content does not need negatives. Stick to traveling and keeping it real. THAT is where you excel!!! Keep on trekking!!!
So glad Maggie is feeling bettter! It is so awful to have a sick dog that you love. They cannot tell you where it hurts, or how they feel! Carolina Beach looks like a great spot! Thank goodness for hot dogs when the pup gets into the burgers! That solo stove is sweet! How do you put the fire out when you go in? You should have sung us a song by the fire! You are *_NOT_* too old to be in a Revel! You two are young at heart. Just because it is a 4 WD doesn't mean you have to go off road in it, it means you CAN go off road in it whenever you want to!
You are so right, it is awful when your fur babies are sick, and it makes you realize how important they are. We usually let the fire burn down until we think it is safe before we go inside and then just keep checking on it. So far it’s not been a problem, we could put some water or dirt in it to put the fire out. Thanks for sharing your wise words, they are so appreciated.
You are definitely not too old & definitely not too cool! That young whipper snapper that said you are just wishes they could have as much as you guys when they get “old”! 😆
We are leaving soon Virginia beach. Our fur baby is ready too they feel bad like us at times. Never to old to camp we are both retired my husband is retired military, and now retired again at 62. I'm 63 and and living life now that I'm retired. Love waking up and going places .You are in my home town we moved to Wilmington when I was 8 Lived in Wilmington NC till I was 19 as a teen always going to Carolina beach and wrightsville beach. Have fun safe travels.
Thanks for being a good representation of the fun you can have when you retire. They don't call them "golden years" for nothin. You guys make me smile.
Too old? You’ve got to be kidding me, right? You are not old enough for anyone to say “it’s awesome that you travel the way you do at your age“. It’s just awesome that you travel, and you share with us. So glad Maggie is doing better, she is adorable. You are never too old - And that is what keeps you young
I just wish I had your energy. Long winter...Ill get back to it. You remind me how to relax. Your videos inspire me...and you are only as old as you feel. Im close to 60 so need to keep my body moving. Love our Rad bikes too.🏞🚲
Too old for a Revel? Please! Exploring your passion(s) has no age limit! The person who made that comment should ask themselves if they are too young to understand what living life is all about! Keep on Reveling!
I can’t even believe someone told you that you are “too old”. You guys are awesome and we love watching your adventures. Except my dog. She’s not really a fan of Maggie. LOL. Every time she turns around and sees Maggie on the TV she has a fit. We’re looking at a Revel as our next RV and you’ve inspired me to believe it’s a good fit for how we’ll use it. We have a friend with a 32 ft RV that they’ve never even camped in. They take to friends houses and make margaritas and little day trips. To each his own. I’d love to see how you guys use the inside more, especially at night hanging out. Happy trails.
We’ll try to show more hanging out on the inside. Thanks for watching and good luck making a decision on your next RV. If you have any questions we will be glad to give you some honest answers.
You’re never too old! You two inspire us. We get to pick up ours next week and we are super excited. Glad Maggie is feeling better and happy to hear you are all vaccinated and safe. Thanks for your videos!
Age is just a number.y'all are SO YOUNG at heart we are in our early 50s and we have a hard time doing what y'all do .DON'T listen to the haters they are just jealous . DO WHAT EVER MAKES YOU HAPPY .
I Love watching you Beautiful videos and Love Love how you answer to those ENVY people that Bully anyone behind the computer. You Guys are Young and have the opportunity to be outdoors and ENJOY LIFE!!! Delete those people and KEEP making memories for you and your family. God Bless and hope Maggie stay healthy and enjoy her adventures too. 🥰🥰🥰
You guys are definitely not too old and such an inspiration and have very good hearts! People can be so mean because they are just jealous! So glad Maggie is feeling better! 💐Happy Mother’s Day Lynn💐 Love you guys!!!🥰🥰🥰
I don’t think you 2 are too old for a revel, nor too old for anything else! I am only 50 and feel much younger most of the time by staying very active and hope to continue to be active as you guys are when I get there! Always naysayers in life in whatever someone does or doesn’t do! Have fun and safe travels!
I just love your philosophy of life, and how to travel. So refreshing. Glad I found your site, as you seem to be using your Revel in a very similar manner that we do. Living in the West, most of our trips are boondocking on BLM land, but we certainly do enjoy National and State parks. Thanks for creating your lovely videos.
Y'all are so funny!!!! NO...you are NOT TOO OLD! Never! I love your adventures and am so grateful for you taking us along. You are hilarious...didn't sleep like a baby!!!!🤣 Go, Lynn! Picking up that kindling also helps keep the area less apt to a wildfire! We had smash burgers the last time we went camping...best burger ever!!! Oh, no...I just saw that Maggie helped herself while you were distracted...next time...try again...they're really good. I grew up going to Long Beach (now Oak Island) and we always loved taking the Ferry over to Ft. Fisher and the Aquarium. One of the places closest to my heart! (LB) I'm glad y'all had fun! Love you so much! Standing up on the paddle board...woohoo!!!! Impressive! Who's old??? Not y'all!!! Can't wait for the OBX! (Jane)❤️🙏🐾Glad Maggie is better!!!!
I love the fact Maggie is better after being sick. To me I believe the Revel fits you both nicely. It’s nice you are doing sone boondocking. I think it fit you both just fine.
Hi guys, wish that I know you were here in my back yard, I live on the cape fear in Wilmington. You were very lucky paddle boarding on Snows Cut, of all the waterways in the area.It must have been a slow boating day and about slack tide. And you weren't wearing your PFDs! The current really ripe through there. There is usually at least one drowning a year along that body of water. In the future you might check with a local for what's called local knowledge. Be safe.
Thanks for sharing, we did not know any of that. You are so correct that we should have checked before going into the water, we had walked by several times and it didn’t look like it was very busy.
Sounds like someone out there is a little jealous because they don't have a Revel. aww, too bad for them. You guys are awesome, love your channel. Keep travelling and taking us with you.
Enjoyed your video. I'm orginally from Castle Hayne, just north of Wilmington. We did Sunday walks at Fort Fisher after eating at a seafood restaurant in Kure Beach. Moved to Raleigh and joined the Raleigh Saltwater Club. We along with other families would drive our 4x4's on the beach and the kids surf fished past the Fort. It's been 30 years and the rocks were not there and you didn't need a pass. Glad you enjoyed your time visiting :)
I have two takeaways from this video: Maggie's momma didn't raise no fools and neither did Lynn's. Maggie, for recognizing an opportunity and eating all the burgers instead of just hers, and Lynn for seizing an opportunity and hogging the hammock. Hey, you snooze, you lose. 😜Also, whoever said you guys were too old for the Revel is either a young whippersnapper mad because they don't have one or an old fogey mad because life has passed them by. Enjoy the ride however you choose to take it.
That Solo Stove is definitely on my wishlist! I’ve seen it on more than one channel now and appreciate your review! Glad Maggie is doing better and has her appetite for the finer things!
We are really loving the solo stove, it’s been a great choice for us. Yes Maggie does like people food, but she usually only gets a bite not an entire hamburger, it did not agree with her belly either. 😲
My 2 boys always ask.............Dad are you ever planning to grow up? They know the answer, Nope!! Age (mine 57) is a only a number and I usually feel the oldest on Mondays after playing all weekend. Looks like yall are handling the Revel just fine. Happy Trails
Just found your channel recently. Watched the Q&A and that was interesting. Glad Maggie is ok. I know how hard it can be when your dog (or other pet) is not feeling well. Keep up the good video work! Cheers!
I have been considering a solo stove for a while and after watching you two use it I decided to go ahead and order one. On its way. Thanks. We’re too old for a lot of things too but when you reach a certain age you just don’t care what others think. Glad Maggie’s feeling better.
Too old? Who’s yanking your chain, traveling and moving about is the best medicine ever....too old may be the old manI saw get off his little scooter and CRAWL up the steps on his fifth wheel, but he didn’t give up! Maggie, you are the best, glad you got your share of hamburgs LOL, enjoyed your video, Lynn cracked me up today. Love your journey, live life. 🙋🏼♀️❤️🐕🚗🇺🇸
Count every birthday, many don’t make it to retirement. I’ve decided to hang up my nursing hat, just starting to enjoy being retired. It was a struggle to make that decision but with the last year we have had with the virus it has made my decision easier. So many didn’t get to make it this far. Your not OLD! Enjoy life each day!
Very, very wise words. Congratulations on your retirement. We also decided to retire early and remember what a big decision it was, but I will say we have never regretted a minute of it. Thanks for all your work being a nurse, it’s an honorable profession.
You 2 are not that old. You are only as young as you feel. I was so looking forward to the hamburgers. But next time. You can make them the next time. How was the water? You both looked so relaxed out in them boards. Glad you had fun. Thank you for this video. See you soon.
I'm glad Maggie feeling better. I'm taking a little trip myself I live in Kentucky. I'm out in Wyoming right now in a snow storm going to head back east.
Wow! If you took 421 to Carolina Beach we could have bumped into each other! So funny how the burgers turned out! It's been years since we visited Fort Fisher. Enjoyed the visit!
We miss you guys! We were sure worried about Maggie. She still needs to teach Bentley a few things about van life. In the navy we had a billet called the Stupid Question Petty Officer. Usually it was the result of a lack of navy/life experience. So instead of telling them to take a bite out of the STFU sandwich, we would attempt to explain our reasoning. Or we would answer the question with a question like, "aren't you a little stupid to be breathing?". Too old? Take a bite. Loved the video and hope to see you down the road.
I bought a19” Breeo, similar to solo stove. While it is solid and impressive, I don’t like it because you can’t see the wood burning. Mostly you see the top of the flames.
Good point. You can see the wood burning with the solo stove when it’s first lit but not as much as if it was in a fire pit. We still like it a lot because there’s no smoke and it’s so easy to light.
I’m glad to see you guys are getting out there. We made it to the other side of the pandemic and getting vaccinated, so more adventures ahead. I can’t wait the see all the RV videos coming back online. No you are not too old for the Revel. Use it to your liking, When the time comes and you need to do some thing that needs a Revel, you’ll be ready. 👍🏾
We have never wanted to do “off roading or rock climbing’. but we do want to take dirt roads and try some BLM land and we think the Revel is prefect for that. We are glad we are on the other side of the pandemic. Thanks for watching.
Happy Mother’s Day to Lynn! Well, sorry about messing up “Griddle Me This”. But we were so thankful to have the opportunity to met you guys!!!! Hope the Hot Dogs were good! Glad you folks had a good time playing in our backyard and looking forward to seeing what you find on the Outer Banks! Be Safe and God Bless!
When I was young everyone said you can do that when you get a little bit older- now that I am older people tell me to slow down r I will hurt myself lol!
So cool! Glad y’all came to cb. If I’d know y’all were there I’d have suggested to grab dinner. Hope you guys are doing great. Maybe we will see each other up at Pisgah again soon.
Looking forward to the off grid diaries. OLD hahaha people are funny. You guys look like you are having a blast. Will you be telling us about you SUP's? I really want one but I may be to old to do that, (wink)!!
We only used the SUP’s once, they are definitely hard to use in rough water. We bought them because they were light weight and easy to transport. We both have other SUP’s that are heavy that we love and they are a lot more stable. But the new one’s will probably be returned.
Absolutely enjoy every video you do. Besides learning alot you guys are just so pleasant. I do have a question though. For the Solo stove, where are you storing / keeping it especially since you do not have your trailer with you this trip? I know that space is precious in the Revel. I'd like an update on your thoughts on the rig in comparison to the Truvado when you have the chance please.
We're the other side of 75 and still pull a fifth-wheel for fun. We do want to downsize but...quit...no way. People always say we don't look/act our age. Well, the body has definitely changed how fast we move and what we do, but the mind is still having fun playing in nature. Get out there @Cigarman and enjoy. Thank you Van Trekking for "representing"....lol
Another channel I watch, Campervankevin, his dog got into some rat poison someplace, he’s thinking it may have been at a rest stop. The vet was able to save Tucker because the rat poison he got into was the old style anticoagulant. There’s a new style out that does something to the nervous system and that one is lethal. Be careful with Maggie as you travel.
We pick up our Revel next week and was wondering if you need to use a swing arm for your bike rack. I think our Saris MTR will to close to the back doors. What are your thoughts? Thanks Dave
GLAD TO COME ACROSS THIS VIDEO. IM INTERESTED IN A 4X4 REVEL. IM GOING ON 58 AND I THINK IT TIME TO PACK UP AND GO SEE SOME COUNTRY BEFORE THE GOOD LORD PULLS MY NUMBER👍🤓👍 . THANKS FOR SHARING THIS VIDEO. I THINK THE REVEL IS SMALL ENOUGH TO HANDLE AND HAS THE AMENITIES THAT YOU WOULD NEED! MUCH LOVE TO Y'ALL FROM MICHIGAN
One of the things we love most about the Revel is how nimble it is for an RV. We use it a lot for a daily driver and yes it has all the amenities you would need.
Revel the way you want.......................so many mods you can do for a Revel to make exactly like you want and have fun.. Did the front tip up to the sky for all that stuff on the back ... lol
I love campfires, just not the smoke smell all over me. How was this stove compared to a regular fire for making you smell like smoke before bed? Also, how old is too old to travel and have fun? I hear people all the time telling others around them to act your age. Well, since I have never been 61 before, how do I know how to act. Age is just a number we put on each other. I don't ever want to slow down, stop enjoying life or learning. Keep enjoying what you do, don't let others tell you that you aren't young enough to be doing something and keep the videos coming. Hope to see you on the road one day soon. The Johnsons...We brake for rocks
The best thing about the solo store is there is no smoke. I like your analogy that you’ve never been 61 so you don’t know how to act. I hope I never act my age. Thanks so much for your comment.
“We’re too old for a lot of things, but we still do them.” - I love this quote!!
Thanks for the great comment and keep being cool.
Not sure how old guys are, I just hit 60 and now it's time I get to play. Raised two boys, bought the big house, worked my ass off ....... I'm done acting like an adult! Glad you three are out playing as well!
I just turned 60 also and want to be more active while I still can - which is why I'm giving a serious look at camper vans.
I was thinking you might be too young for the Revel! Glad Maggie is doing better.
I'm 74 and I am going to really (really!) enjoy the last quarter of my life. Never too old to enjoy life! The Revel is the conveyance taking you from place to place...comfortably, mind you. It can be a Mini Cooper...doesn't matter how you get there just enjoy the journey.
Love it!! Well said! And we bee-bopped around with a Mini Cooper before too. 😂

My favorite quote: "We're too old for a lot of things. But we still do them." That is perfect. Good answer.
I think it’s a good quote too, that’s what keeps us young and we both feel it what keeps us challenged. Thanks for commenting.
Great video! Thank You! The one good thing about getting old is that you won't die young.
You are so right. Thanks for sharing.
Episode heading: Ah c'mon, don't resort to click bait!
I love your channel! Your content does not need negatives. Stick to traveling and keeping it real. THAT is where you excel!!! Keep on trekking!!!
Thanks for your input, we appreciate it.

What an immature thing to say. You are not old for the Revel. You are amazing and inspirational in enjoying life. So go for it.🤗👍
That you, we appreciate your comment. Thanks so much for watching.

Dont let those trolls get to ya. He's probably in his moms basement just jealous as hell. HAHA still loving the content!!

Amen , keep ploughing the field , thats what the frontier is all about.
We’ll keep ploughing. Thanks for watching.

You are so correct everyone should “Do what makes them Happy”.. Thanks for the reminder.
Go west young man, go west.
We are working on it.
I Love watching you Beautiful videos and Love Love how you answer to those ENVY people that Bully anyone behind the computer. God Bless and hope Maggie stay healthy and enjoy her adventures too. 🥰🥰🥰
Thank you so much for your inspiring words. We appreciate it so much!
If you are happy that is all that counts. As the years tick by we need to appreciate the things we like and people we like.
Thank you so much for your comment, very wise words.
Living the dream 😎🌲🌳
You two are more active then a lot of younger people. Thanks for your videos enjoy your trip & safe travels.
That’s so sweet of you to say. We appreciate you watching and commenting.

We appreciate your comment. We’ll keep doing what we do for as long as we can.
Sounds like someone out there is a little jealous because they don't have a Revel. aww, too bad for them. You guys are awesome, love your channel. Keep travelling and taking us with you.
Thank you so much for comment, we so appreciate you connecting with us.
We just used our Solo Stove for the first time today! Sat around with my wife, kids and parents. Pretty happy with it.
We are really loving our too. Thanks for sharing.
Not bad for two old folks... lol! I am very happy to hear that Maggie is feeling better. Great video.
thank you for sharing. lovely couple. your not old

It was a great spot. Sounds like you had some great memories of Fort Fisher. Thanks for sharing.
Ordered a Solo Stove Ranger today and had to give Van Trekking Lifestyle the credit. Love the channel!!
Thank you so much for the credit. We love ours and hope you will love your as much.
You are never too old to enjoy the live!!!! Greetings from🇬🇧
I totally agree... thanks so much for your comment.

Never too old!
When you start thinking you are too old, that’s when you are old.
Your never to old for anything its only a number as long as you wake up above the grass its going to be a great day
Very wise words, thanks for sharing.
Revel is designed to go places...enough said! Going places!
The Revel has definitely took us to a lot of places with a lot more to come. Thanks for your comment.
That Solo Stove is definitely on my wishlist! I’ve seen it on more than one channel now and appreciate your review! Glad Maggie is doing better and has her appetite for the finer things!

Thanks for the comment. We don’t plan to grow up any time soon.
Age is just a number. It's how you feel and think. I'll be 68 years young this year. Planing on buying a class b and travel.
Traveling around in a class B is a great way to explore this beautiful country. Thanks for commenting.
You and your rig are perfect for each other! Love your adventures! Stay well Maggie! 😎
We think we are perfect for each other too especially for this time in our lives.
70's and love our Revel!
Good to know. Thanks for sharing and for watching.
Just found your channel recently. Watched the Q&A and that was interesting. Glad Maggie is ok. I know how hard it can be when your dog (or other pet) is not feeling well. Keep up the good video work! Cheers!
Glad you found our channel, we appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment.
Too this, too that! It's all a matter of perspective. Yours! Not others. Happy Tails
I have been considering a solo stove for a while and after watching you two use it I decided to go ahead and order one. On its way. Thanks. We’re too old for a lot of things too but when you reach a certain age you just don’t care what others think. Glad Maggie’s feeling better.
You two are a complete inspiration! Too old, my eye!
Thank you. We appreciate your comment.
You are not too Old for a REVEL! Lol. “We’re too old for a lot of things, but we still do them” lol best comment of the internet!
I agree it’s a great comment. Thanks so much for watching.
Heck no you aren't too old! A big ole southern Bless Your Heart to those haters!
You 2 are not that old. You are only as young as you feel. I was so looking forward to the hamburgers. But next time. You can make them the next time. How was the water? You both looked so relaxed out in them boards. Glad you had fun. Thank you for this video. See you soon.
The water was a little cold, but since it was warm outside it felt pretty good. We appreciate you watching.
You guys are Kool. ON ON!
Thank, we appreciate your comment.
I'm glad Maggie feeling better. I'm taking a little trip myself I live in Kentucky. I'm out in Wyoming right now in a snow storm going to head back east.
We hope you have a safe trip back. Thanks so much for watching and leaving us a comment.
@@VANTREKKINGlifestyle I'm back home now not going back out for awhile.
Wow! If you took 421 to Carolina Beach we could have bumped into each other! So funny how the burgers turned out! It's been years since we visited Fort Fisher. Enjoyed the visit!
WTH?! Obviously that person didn’t see where you took the Travato! The Revel is perfect for y’all! You keep doing you!
We also think the Revel is perfect for us right now. Thanks for your comment, it is appreciated.
Another fantastic video and thank you sharing!!! BS & BK
Too old for a revel! Ha! And great comment about babies sleeping. So true. Good luck on your next stop!
We don’t think we are too old either... Never have understood “slept like a bay”. Thanks for watching.
Glad to hear you re fully vaccinated and Maggie s much better!
It feels so much better traveling around being fully vaccinated. Thanks for watching.
Great video. Thanks
Thanks, we appreciate you watching.
A battery operated Sawzall is my son's favorite camping accessory...
We may have to start bringing ours with us. Thanks for the suggestion.
When I was young everyone said you can do that when you get a little bit older- now that I am older people tell me to slow down r I will hurt myself lol!
I heard you mentioned Cheraw. Have you ever camped at Cheraw State Park ,, we’re thinking of going there to camp and golf some day.
We have camped there and that is where we meet Owen’s mom and had a picnic. It’s a nice park I think you will enjoy it.
Great vid.
Thanks, we appreciate you watching.
well stated!!
Thanks, we appreciate you watching.
So cool! Glad y’all came to cb. If I’d know y’all were there I’d have suggested to grab dinner. Hope you guys are doing great. Maybe we will see each other up at Pisgah again soon.
We’ll have to meet up next time, really sorry we missed you. Hope you are doing great as well.
You know you are too old only when you are too old to breathe! 😂. I love your life. Enjoy it to the max.
Nothing wrong about being picky about your shoes - we understand that well!
The older we get the more picky we are about our shoes. We both are all about comfort.
Thanks for the warning, we always keep a close watch especially when she looks like she might eat something. I hate that happened.
We pick up our Revel next week and was wondering if you need to use a swing arm for your bike rack.
I think our Saris MTR will to close to the back doors. What are your thoughts?
Thanks Dave
How old is to old, and what is a right way to use a Revel? Enjoy your travels and use your Revel as you see fit.
Such wise words... thanks.
I saw one of your videos and you had the rear doors open that was beautiful. What about solar?
Is the portable fire pit the "bon fire" model? I looked at the site you provided and there are various sizes. Thanks!
The Solo stove is a ranger and we are still loving it.
Revel the way you want.......................so many mods you can do for a Revel to make exactly like you want and have fun.. Did the front tip up to the sky for all that stuff on the back ... lol
We did have the back loaded up... but it didn’t tilt up. 😆
Never……always just right.
That’s a great way to look at it.
We are trying to decide between inflatable kayaks and inflatable paddle boards. You make the paddle boards seem very stable. Are they?
Depends on boards. We returned these ROC paddle boards. They were not extremely stable. Our BOTE boards are super, super stable.
I started laughing when I saw the title. Had to jump over and watch
Glad we made you laugh and even more so since it made you jump over and watch.
I have a white pine in my front yard full of pine cones that my wife likes to collect for fire starters. Have 4 bags so far. : - )
Pine cones are great fire starters. Thanks for sharing.
Your Mom in Cheraw----OMG we're in Florence SC!
Yes… she’s actually just outside of McBee and I have an aunt in Conway. We go through there quite a bit. Hope to meet you one day.
