- Adam Wurtzel chats with Chuck Woolery about how he made his way to Los Angeles and got the job as original host on Wheel of Fortune. Plus, a unique encounter in a bathroom at NBC Burbank, and how it was his son that gave Woolery the indication that Greed was a great show.
Thank God some episodes of the Chuck Woolery Wheel Of Fortune era have been saved thanks to UA-cam!!
Love Chuck Woolery. I'm still watching Love Connection reruns.
Best interview so far Adam. He's so down to earth. Can't wait to see who's coming up next in Season 1.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
@@hostsathome7390Hopefully Peter Marshall is up soon.
Loved this week's episode! Great getting to know Chuck.
Happy 80th Birthday Chuck Woolery
Happy birthday Chuck!
One of my favorite memories is on Wheel of Fortune when the bell sounded and Chuck with the bells sounded, "Ah ha, Ah ha"
Quite interesting connecting with these older game show hosts.at age 85 myself l found it enjoyable to see them still alive and well. Do interview more please👏

My twin sister and I were in the Wheel of Fortune audience. Susan Stafford told us she was retiring. She said we would be novel and perfect to take her place . Chuck talked to us , and we both were speechless. He asked. “ are you mute?” Lol
Chuck tell Kim hello
No one ever mentions Greed when going through his game shows and that was the best one.
We certainly talked about Greed on this episode.
If he lives, you think Chuck will appear on WOF in PM when the show turns 50 in 2025?
Probably not.
Two fingers with the back of the hand facing another person means "Up Yours" in England.
HE’S GOT A BEARD!!!
SCRABBLE is My All Time Favorite Game Show!
Syndication?! Lingo was on GSN! BTW, Chuck actually did work in radio for a time in his hometown of Ashland, Kentucky.
Yeah, why before Chuck, Lingo did air in Canada, with Michael Reagan (son of late president, guess who?) but I don't know if that aired in the US?
Loved that story about Carson in the restroom! That's hilarious
Yes! One of my favorite stories in the history of Hosts at Home! Thanks for watching!
Hope he gets to come back someday.
Due to Woolery's recent comments about COVID-- which led to him cancelling his Twitter-- his career is toast now.
@@drewzuhosky6826 His career was toast long before that. That COVID comment pretty much put the icing on the cake.
Wonder if Wink has Chuck's pilot for Pyranid. Would love to see him write a memoir and call it "Back in two and two.).
I can’t believe Fox’s Greed didn’t make this interview. It was awesome!
Actually, Greed was discussed in this interview, at 18:30.
Wonder if Kirk is coming back.for the tubinrevival.
Quibi is folding (COVID-related financial difficulties.)
I wanted to ask Chuck about the radio show he was supposed to do in 2009 for AC radio. The show waa supposed to be similar to Delilah and John Tesh but for some reason it never came to be.
I wonder if Chuck watches his former show not on PM lasted 37 yrs
Too funny! ParticipAnts'existed asked Chuck to help him with a piece of furniture!
I can kick myself in the ass for not getting my question I to.him on time. I wanted to mask him about that radio show he was supposed to do.in 2009.
Chuck got old, didn't recognize him.
I am trying to thank you. God spoke to me through you when you spoke at my church about your granddaughter you were holding in your arms. I would love to tell you about it. I tried messaging you on facebook.
I wonder if he did not have a job lined up for him why did he even come to LA in the first place?
WOW!!😮😮OMG!! THAT,S CHUCK WOOLERY TODAY?! OR A FEW YEARS AGO?! LOL 😂😆 GLASSES & A BEARD?! HE COULD PASS AS DREW CAREY,S TWIN BROTHER!! HAHAHAHA!!
he's literally not anywhere close to the bad guy they made him out on Twitter to be I love Chuck!
