No thank you for all you do, bringing great stuff to watch.
After the last few years it’s refreshing to have a coach with this kind of enthusiasm. GBR
It's just nice to have a coach who's not so drunk that he can't go to recruits houses because he's still slurring his words.
Will like to revist this in a few years
I love that people on the outside are getting to know Rhule as the Nebraska coach and his honest, complete view of the program. He's humble and not overpromising like Frost did yet sees how close we are to turning those three to seven-point losses into wins. Rhule fits Nebraska on and off the field - we've needed that for a long time. Great interview, Josh. You have a new subscriber. GBR!!!
GBR
Extremely humble guy with a great mindset. Would love to see him be successful his first year. Still not sold on Wisconsin or Iowa based on leaked training footage. I’d say the West is still up for grabs. Good luck Rhule!
Can’t wait to see how he does. I’m a big Rhule fan, and it looks like he’s already putting that program back on track. Recruitment is good, and the attitude has changed from reports coming out
This guy is so well spoken. He's about the players just not as players or the best players on the team he focused on making all these players into men later in life once football is over that's a head coach can't wait too see how we do GBR.
Great questions, and great interview Josh. Much appreciated.
What really needs to happen here is that the fan base should be patient. Playing fir coach Devaney was great, hard but great. This man is no Bob Devaney but he could be very good if people are patient, things will come together eventually.
I have to say, he is comfortable with who he is. A serious upgrade for Nebraska. Hope he does well against everyone but Wisconsin.😃
been hoping for this interview. rhule seems like such a down to earth guy
I appreciate your great interviews and content Josh. Big fan of you and Joel Klatt leading the way for great college football content creators 🔥🔥🔥
Rhule is top tier. Nebraska will return to physical, hard nose football. See Baylor & Temple.
He is a excellent communicator. But the Nebraska challenge is huge. Good Luck coach. No one can say you back down from a challenge.
Nebraska to have one of best defenses in big ten. Rocky Long’s system always works.
maaaaaaaaaannnnn im on that koolaid this year!.....just like every year BUT THIS YEAR IM PUMPED!
GBR!!!
Good questions
If this program can learn how to win the 4th quarter then the sky's the limit.
when i was in high school we also fot the nebraksa weight room deal
That was an excellent interview.
Good guy.
He'll need to win big in either year 1 or year 2. This is a must because every great coach has their team humming strong bursting out of no where by that time such as Lincoln Riley, Kirby, Saban, Urban, Brohm at Purdue, Beilema at Illinois, Osborne, Devaney, and so on. If he doesn't have the team humming super strong in these 2 years then most likely he ends up fired because although it won't guarantee he's terrible it'll basically guarantee he's not great and no none-great coach has ever not been fired here in the last handful of decades evidenced by guys like Bo and Solich even being let go. He needs to be great in order to survive here especially against teams like OSU, Michigan, PSU, Wisconsin, Oregon, Washington, USC, etc.
NU is in good hands, GBR!
Me thinks the big ten is about to get tougher to win.
I like it….👊🏻🏈🇺🇸
I’m seeing Matt Coach Penn State in about 10 years
Rhule is a good coach but winning and recruiting at Nebraska is very difficult.
He reminds me of Coach Osborne. Ik I’m getting ahead of myself but Coach cared about his players. I truly believe Coach Rhule cares about his players and he has the track record in college that proves it. Never heard a bad word about him.
Same ol questions
no they aren't
This is all fine and dandy….but just win baby
You can’t tell me rhule doesn’t play with his nose. 👃❄️😂
Imagine being that highschool getting Matt as ur coach
GBR
I'm not saying Rhule is terrible, but I am saying I don't think he's great and thus won't survive here. You need to be great in order to survive here because just good will get you fired. You must have a start to your tenure here as Saban with Bama, Kirby with UGA, Riley with USC, Day with OSU, Harbaugh with Michigan, Osborne with Nebraska, Devaney with Nebraska, Kelly with LSU, etc or else you will be eaten alive and fired really quickly going against teams like OSU, Michigan, PSU, USC, Oregon, Wisconsin, etc here in the Big 10. Great coaches always start off exceptionally strong and tend to keep it there. If Rhule shows no signs of this straight out the gate like they do, might as well cross him off and look for the next coach.
Good interview, i generally agree that Nebraska can compete with every team outside of the big 3 in the big 10.
The key to Nebraska's success is going to be running the football. Nebraska lost time of possession battle in every game last season and probably most games over the last few years. Nebraska hasn't had a 1000-yard back since 2018. Im not saying to run every play but why would anyone want there team to be that one dimensional? Having an effective running game is the fastest way to improve your team.
Nebraska was cutting edge when they were on roids😂, that cracked me up when he said cutting edge. I’m pulling for y’all though. I feel all y’alls agony as a Tennessee fan
He went to Nebby because of 72 million dollars....
Has much as I love ❤️ the Nebraska corn husker they are not a big ten school there just not
Why does Rhule remind of Donald Trump when he talks lol
Cause he's a boss.
Sko buffs
Yeah sko some where else.
Yeah sko right off the cliff..
You bring Saban, Smart, Dabo, or Urban to Nebraska and yes Nebraska would be back. Rhule is not in that league. He's not making a great program no matter what. Can give him Tom Brady and Rob Gronk and he still won't make anything special because the bottom freaking line is that he is not on par with the elite coaches I've named. Period. And he'll remind you of that as he fails here. Basically, our coaching search is still continuing for this dude Rhule is already fired.
Them 4 you just mentioned have that secret inside cater to me at all costs .. legal or not legal .. We'll see what happens with Rhule . I think he'll win the right way .
@@joshpitts7256 Well evidently that must be the way to win and Rhule isn't doing that which means he's already lost here. He's already failed. Already didn't make a bowl in his first few years. And really he's already fired. If you're not doing what winners do that never and I mean never works out to your success. It doesn't work that way. We don't have to wait and see. You already know he's about to fail here. We're still in a coaching search believe it or not and it'll continue itself in about a few short years from now.
@@realtalk3567 you have no ideal what you are talking about. go root for your Iowa Chickens and leave the adult talk to adults.
@@rickmoore4776 You got to learn to make a sound argument first before I or anyone takes you seriously.
Nebraska is going nowhere with Matt... The cupboard is bare...
One of the most overrated coaches in history who has won nothing. Nebraska should of kept Frank Solich or Bo pelini
Trev should've gotten your input on the new head coach. You clearly know football!
To be fair the guy never really stayed at any one school long enough to build on anything and go the next step. When he left he was always right there though..this viewpoint is hollow and without proper context
So we have football analysts coming out of the wood work giving their two cents worth because they hate people who are optimistic about something so they feel like pissing on people because they are weak and their home life sucks.
@@dionpryor369That's the world we live in these days . Go Big Red
This man has ZERO accountability!!!
Look out, “Big Ten” Matt Rhule is a fantastic coach. Your conference sucks, so there is no reason why Nebraska can’t be great.
🤦🏻♂️
