I love how relatable and inspirational this video is! I know I do the same by comparing myself to others (what I have, how successful other people I know are with their career etc.) so this is inspiring to stop doing that. I also love how you are making monthly goals as opposed to a year goal. I feel like it’s much more attainable to reach goals when you make it a month long period vs a year! Thank you for sharing Melissa! ❤️
Hey Melissa- I am joining you especially with getting into a fitness and eating healthier routine! Happy New year and let’s crush all our 2025 goals! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Your goals are great. They say humans need goals to not feel it’s all pointless. In the second half of last year, I decided I needed to lose a little weight. I did it with calorie counting for a few months. What ended up happening was, to meet that calorie goal, I cut out most fast food and had smaller portions. Indeed, my portion sizes had grown over time and they were just unnecessarily big. I’ve stopped calorie counting, but have retained the smaller portion sizes. I want to keep it up. Sometimes I’m a little hungry, but not starving or anything, and I remind myself that being a little hungry every now and then won’t kill me.
I think that’s a great way to do. I’ve done too many strict diets and I’m not interested in doing that again. I’m okay with loosing weight slowly or even maintaining the weight I’m at. I am not okay with gaining more weight though.
I love that you are doing your goals by the month. My favorite quote is eat the elephant one bite at a time. This is much more doable than setting goals for a whole 12 months. And I love that you gave yourself something hard, something fun and something challenging. This was really good Melissa!! And I cannot WAIT to see what is in that YSL box!!!! OMG!!!! 😱 I’m excited like it’s mine. 😂
I think it will be so much more fun doing it month by month. It doesn’t feel nearly as daunting. I am excited for the YSL unboxing too but I’m waiting until I hit a personal goal to do the unboxing.
I'm here for this type of content. I loved your low buy videos. Even though it didn't go as you planned it went well and it sounds like you learned a lot. I think that the one month challenges are more fun and easier to stay on track with.
I am glad you’re doing this! 2025 is going to be a low buy for me and I have a no buy list due to the fact I have items that I haven’t used or wore yet. So 2025 is going to be the year I enjoy what I have and keep a list of any items missing. That list will keep me focused so that I don’t keep buying stuff I already have or don’t need. Thank you for making your channel about more than just bags ❤🎉
I am with you on these goals! I think doing it as monthly goals doesn’t seem so overwhelming. The idea of a low buy year is really daunting but a month seems doable. The exercise, better eating, and limiting social media….completely onboard.
Great goals Melissa! I am pondering whether to go cold turkey on the social media platforms. I’m on the internet way too much so maybe I need to start by limiting my screen time 😣 I definitely need to get out & exercise or walk. I signed up for Zumba classes to get started 💃🏽 I will also be going to the library to check out books, I’ve always loved to read & hubby is on board 😊 I have definitely cut back on buying purses- I bought 2 preloved LV bags & a few SLG’s last year. I’ve also sold some things. TFS your goals, I feel motivated already! ❤️
I'm so glad my video motivated you. I think starting with a goal to limit screen time is a great idea. You did great last year. I think 2-3 bags a year is realistic for us bag lovers.
It’s wonderful that you turned into a learning opportunity what happened with your low-buy last year. Your objectives for 2025 are based on your ability to succeed, and I am sure you will. Happy and Healthy New Year!
This sounds fun😊. I did a no buy for 3 months so I know I can do 1 month. The only exception will be if a certain DUYP bag comes back in stock for Jan. I will also try my best to resume exercising 3 days a week. Cooking is a struggle for me because I hate meal prepping but I am going to give it all I have lol.
Happy New Year Melissa! I love these types of videos and would love to join you in January! I love handbags but you’re right, we are so much more than bags and I’m really trying to chill out on bags for a while and appreciate what I have. I’m definitely with you on the no-spend January (essentials only), moving more, and making better food choices. It’s hard for me to choose healthy foods in the winter-I just want warm comforting foods 😬.
Okay - love this! We serve ourselves well when we set realistic short term goals! I’m also handbag collector/enthusiast and artist! We have lots in common. 😊 Excited to tune in along the way!
Hi Melissa! Good luck on your goals! They seem totally doable. If you had said stop eating bread or cheese, then I would worry. That's so hard to do! lol. You have made me ponder whether I need to buy the bag I'm about to checkout on. I don't need it. Maybe I should leave it where it is, save the $ and start the year off that way. ☺ Happy New Year to you and yours!! 💕
Hi Emily. If you love the bag and have been wanting it for a long time then you should get it. If in six months from now you would rather have the money than the bag then you should leave it. That’s what I always ask myself to help me decide.
Such a great way to actually accomplish goals doing it monthly! I’m also going on a no spending in January, but I’m doing first quarter and also plan to cook more at home.
@@teew3769 That is awesome. I actually have a spendy “item” coming up in March so I’d like to expend my no buy until then BUT I’m just focusing on January for now.
Wonderful goals! Fully support you. I have a no spend for Jan and Feb. my birthday is in March so I will allow it then but beauty and self care only. I have home repairs that need to take priority this year. For bags- I have to go back 1-2 a year. I've accepted that I seem to only like chanel (preloved) so if this is the case then this is my limit due to cost.
@ ugh. We need bathroom tikes, new couch, carpet replacement. Literally a running list. It won't all get done this year but pushing off a bag purchase surely will help these goals
Hi 😊 I'm definitely your cheerleader. I gotta drop 30 so you just inspired me. I'm horrible with keeping up with social media. I didn't see your message until a few days ago. Sorry 😔
I loved this! I tried a no buy which quickly turned into a low buy which I wasn’t successful with but like you I did learn things. I too am going to alter things and try again. Best of luck! You got this!
🎉🎉🎉 Love all these new goals you have set for yourself Mel.
Thank you May 💜
