@@PDubsArcadeLoft It’s better than you think. My girls are grown. We haven’t played games together in years but we have played this together several times. I have some of the ATgames equipment as well but they don’t seem as interested in the Legends Arcade and Pinball like dad is. They probably do need a few more big hitters, but their are 70 apps now. 8 ball billiards dropped today.
i have one and its great. my 5 year old daughter and wife play it all the time. cant wait to see what the future holds for it with all the 3rd party devs that have recently signed on to develop games for it. i got my 32 inch for $600 as an open box return at best buy. no way would i pay $800+ for it.
Thank’s for the review PDubs! Having a library of “virtual” games and the ability to play games online with family and friends is definitely appealing to a board game enthusiast as myself!
An interesting product for sure, but wildly over-priced for what it is. Now I get these interactive screens aren't cheap, but we're talking about board games that can be picked up (for the most part) for $10 or less (a lot less used). Perhaps if they added truly hard to get and very expensive games to the library (think BATTLEMASTERS, DARK TOWER, ELECTRONIC DETECTIVE), then perhaps it becomes more compelling. Why they don't have a better way to plug in the power (say at the bottom of the feet) is crazy. Storage obviously an issue too if you don't want it out 24/7. 24 inch version all but useless for some of these games. All that said, if this thing was $400-500, it would be a lot more compelling. Great (best yet) review of this product yet 'Dubs!
I just bought a 32” for my wife. I’m going to get a second one for my grandkids so we can play each other. Well worth not worrying about storage and lost game pieces.
Yes, it's expensive. But we are living in a world where bacon sells for $10 per lb. This is something I would never buy for myself. However my wife thought it was a great idea, so I bought it for her. She loves it ! My son comes over with his wife and they both love it too. When I see them all enjoying it I no longer care about the cost so much. To me it's worth it, just watching them smile. If I would have a complaint at all it would be ( as you mentioned ) that the darn thing is quite heavy. The other is I have yet been able to get the legs back off. I have read of a few others with the same issue. Not a big deal just a PITA. I read we should be getting Clue on Cyber Monday. Looking forward to that one, as is the rest of the family.
Thanks PDubs. Your reviews and videos are always so thorough and bring lots of value. Bing watching your videos is both satisfying and informational. Keep up the great work!
PDubs, I suggest getting a cable management floor cord cover. These are super cheap on Amazon and the one I'm using in my Arcade for my center machine came in a 6 foot size which can easily be cut to fit as well. If you want a battery pack, they sell several for around $100 with an AC plug port. The floor cord cover is much cheaper though :) vgv
Great review PDubs! This one might be a pass for me simply because I like the feel of playing the real thing when it comes to a lot of these board games. Kind of like how I never got into e-books because the joy of reading and scribbling in real books is just too significant for me to give up to go digital.
The lag on games may be a deal-breaker. Space tennis (pong) needs to be lightning fast and completely responsive. If they can correct the lag then I think it'd be worth investing into like all Android products a little bit of Home modding will also improve things years down the road. Plus if you get games like Warhammer 40K on here Dungeons & Dragons werewolf the apocalypse vampire the Masquerade it would be very awesome. Great review thank you you're in yourself a new sub
On the cable, cut a slit in your carpet near the leg and run the cable underneath. Might be good to put one of those cord protectors on top of that to keep it safe.
Great review PDUBS. Thanks for being honest. In the video you mention being into board games. In the future will you do more reviews of board games on your channel? I know this is an Arcade channel, but I'm sure I'm not the only viewer who enjoys both arcade games and board games. Considering you backed this on Kickstarter I've got to wonder if you've backed any board games on there.
I did not back this on Kickstarter. We paid about $800 for it wife used some target red card deals and stuff. Yes I have many board games, recently backed the latest 7th citadel and Hero Quest Kickstarters. Would love to make some more board game videos hopefully those who come here for video game content won't be turned off by it.
I have it but bought it as an open box item at best buy, (32 inch model)! Its $50 more now (was $849)! I think its worth around $600 to $700 considering that the table is expansive being able to add more games! Their arcade machines are $300 to $700 with only 3 to 5 games and that is what it is! Yet i see people collect those like action figures! I like that im buying it knowing there is more to come, and not just board games but it being open to blackjack 21! Dominos and 8ball pool also coming soon! I for one dont have room for all the arcade machines and have kids that like board games! So this is great for my house hold! Cant wait to see whats next……
I don't understand why such a large bezel, and your right the most I'd pay is $600. Also, you definitely need a lobby. You didn't mention whether you can communicate audibly through the tablet to an online opponent.
Thank you for the honest Review PDUBS. I got my game table from rent a center it was delivered yesterday. It’s pretty cool for all of the games I love to play but my question is how you purchase the other games on the table.
Another detailed, honest review. It is too expensive for me even though we play a lot of board games. However, I like being able to play board games with the actual game pieces, cards, dice, etc. I was curious about this product and I thank you for the thorough review.
I'm really into board games. I don't want to play anything on here (except maybe pandemic). It's not for that group. I like digital dnd. I don't see any app supporting that, but that would be amazing. Looks okay for card games like video black jack and solitare. I'd recommend getting a board game coffee table with a coverable well to play games in. It'll make your boardgames feel ultra deluxe giving them the vegas treatmemt.
Great review bro you literally just answered all my questions from a previous video. You definitely saved me from the impulse buy. Ima wait for a price drop
Great honest review PDubs! Always appreciate it. I was interested in this machine, just not the price (my kids are 15+ and the game selection wouldn't interest them much). I'm sure it will drop at some point, may re-consider then. Again, great job!

Very thorough. It’s cool like you said. But 900$ cool? Not sure. I don’t like that you can’t hide your battleship or how do you hide your Scrabble pieces ? The battery is a must too.
Yeah it's not $900 cool - maybe $500-$600 cool. Lol and yes can't hide your pieces without putting up a blocker on the table or tell them to turn their head

while the idea sounds terrific on paper, I really don't feel comfortable dropping almost $1000 on a giant table-looking tablet that only plays board games when I can get a regular multipurpose tablet for less than that. can't blame the company for trying, but still A bit much.

I’m afraid that the touch screen won’t be responsive enough . And very little memory . Should I wait for at least 2nd gen ? Or jump in now ? Comments ?
I mean I have every game installed and it takes up 1/2 the memory and you can easily Uninstall reinstall just like Xbox switch etc to make space totally up to you
Hey PDubs! Has anyone figured out a way to sideload any android apps on this thing? What are you thinking about this unit after 5 months? Is it getting any use? As always I appreciate your reviews and opinions.
@@PDubsArcadeLoft I gotcha. I wound up getting a good deal on it used here locally so I picked it up. One interesting thing was when I got it home it could not authenticate while booting up because it was still set up for the other person's account and their Wi-Fi so it kept coming up with cannot authenticate account and there was an option to search for Wi-Fi but that didn't come up properly and it went to another menu that was definitely an Android menu and one of the options that came up that I could turn on or off was load from unknown sources. So that was interesting to see unfortunately I turned that option off as to allow me to load from unknown sources but it never let me connect to Wi-Fi so I had to reset it fully by holding in the power button and the up volume. And then it let me set up my own account but kind of interesting that that came up. Thanks again for all your content and have a great day..
