4 years later, still one of the best bts interviews. she flew all the way to sk, even learned about the industry first before meeting the boys, and was respectful and seemed rly genuine. AND this was back in 2017.
Yes, this is one of my favourites. I never knew about this ( or Kpop ) back then, but seeing it for the second time now, it is really nice to see this kind of interview. I am so happy as a brit myself.😁

I love how they also thought of him unlike other interviewers. This is 10000000000000% the best out there. *(Ps. Love your username! Lol)*
I agree with the questions asked. everyone in the US always asked the same questions and they didn't really dig deep into the group, instead they were super artificial and kind of shallow at times. that's not why I listen to this group or that. I want to know them as people not as beautiful objects that can hump anything that walks cause they're famous.
alice I don't think having an interpreter is a bad thing at all(sorry if I came off that way). I just rewatched a video before this one where a translator for them said bulletfruit and idk man. That interview was just so awkward
I lovvveeee the interview. Its not awkward or tensed, its very relaxing its like the boys are talking to longtime friends. When bts (exc. Namjoon) responded in english, their response is simple, spontaneous, and honest may be due to language/vocab limitation, but when they elaborated in korean we got a sincere feedback. I love adelle roberts for doing this !!!!
@@eira72 i read that she is actually an english teacher in Korea, she didn't move merely for BTS . She killed two birds with one stone , she had a job offer and in Korea, where bts is from. Lucky Girl!!!
Whenever I hear the boys talking about how much they love ARMYs, my heart flutters and I can't help but smile. Anyone else feel the same or am I the only one?
I totally feel like they have this special way of saying ARMY and it's like they're speaking of you directly instead of millions of fans... I just.. my hearteu
"Despacito is absolutely massive on UK, so why not K-pop next?" *pointing at BTS* "And this is going worldwide, baby." WE STAN AN INTERVIEWER LIKE THIS.
@@estelaangeles2346 that's what makes bts different. unlike any other korean groups, these boys wrote most of their songs on every albums. bts' rapline (suga, rm & jhope) has released their own mixtapes; hope world, mono, agust d & d-2. all written and produced by themselves. vocal line has released their own songs too and they wrote it by themselves, you can check them out. oh, and their upcoming album 'BE' that will be released on November 20th will fully be directed, written, composed and produced by BTS. you should check it later once its out!
@@chaxx1039 I agree however I would appreciate if you wrote "unlike some kpop bands" 😊 instead of other bands.. I'm a multifandom and followed several kpop bands who produced their own songs. I'm not trying to fight..I've followed bts since debut ✌️
this is the best interview of bts so far, it's so raw and just so beautiful. the interviewer isn't feeling awkward herself or making them feel awkward. the english subtitles for international fans and korean subtitles for k-diamonds, this is just so thoughtful. great great job, bbc. the interviewer was literally a part of conversation and the message at the end of the video made bts look so much more than just a 'trend' or 'instant hit'. it made them look like they paved the way for literally so many cultures and overall, excellent job, adele.
Yes!!! I was also 'bout to comment the interview Zack did. They all were so relaxed and the interviewer was pretty much the only one in USA who asked them about RELEVANT stuff like the messages BTS are trying to spread and their Love Yourself campaign. I really think we all (ARMY) should watch it
That's the beauty of British journalism in most media - they're just so professional! I loved how she did her research beforehand and analysed the impact of globalisation and social media on their success! It extends to British news anchors too, who remain professional and never ever give their opinions on specific news stories unlike their US counterparts
For once they aren't asking boring questions that everyone asks. They seem so comfortable. I'm glad she flew over to them instead of them flying to her. They get the choreographer out too and she subtly ask them about coming to the UK (not that I'm in the UK... I am) She got them... Socks but I dunno if that's a good thing. I also like the way BTS' English is improving so much. They're growing a lot so by the end of 2018 I wouldn't even be surprised if every country knew them. One of the best .
Idk much about American TV/ Radio but the BBC is very neutral and factual in its content. They do thorough research beforehand and rarely give opinions. I like it because they allow celebrities to have a personal life as well instead of asking about their love life
Kermit Oppa kpop is a term given by westerns to korean singers. koreans dont refer to them as kpop, they either say idol music (exo, svt, ...) or korean music (bts, psy, ...). the difference is that lots of knetz agree that bts have th HAN, an essential part of real music. (im condensing this sooo much it'll be better if u search it up urself, IT'S a pretty big and interesting subject)
I am glad someone show their respects towards the choreographer. He has done a reaaaaaally great job their choreography is one of the main reasons I got intrigued in BTS
Jin is so underrated and I think he feels like this too because epiphany is all about him being underrated. My heart melted when she said especially Jin because I absolutely love him.
This is the my first time seeing their choreographer and I got so excited. To finally see the master mind behind the choreographies is so cool. Also I cried for Stephanie. I couldn't help but be so happy for her.
This interviewer is so nice! Comparing to all those people interviewing them in the US... This has to be the most refreshing one. And I love the fact that they put subtitles in Korean! I mean, how respecting is that!? The UK is not expecting everyone to speak English even among the members and I just love everything about this 😭♥️ America, take notes.
This is obviously the best interview, like she has so much respect for them, even interviewed the choreographer, added subtitles for koreans and so good that gave stephanie an unforgettable moment. 💕💕💕
"Why not kpop" As a korean, this line is soo touching. I'm living in the same neighborhoods as BIGHIT company. If i think about how small it was, I feel like I'm seeing miracle now. A lot of small music companies are here and so many young trainees are still practicing till late night with waiting for their debut. I know they were so much wait for this time to come. "Compete in equal condition" No country background, No big company's backup. Only with their talents and efforts. Perhaps it's not just about Korea. Cheers to all of artist who living in small town/small company. 🍻
From wanting to "go" to London in 2018 - to performing in the iconic Wembly stadium and becoming world famous. Yes, BTS truly made it with their hard work and passion!! 💜💜
This interview was very professional. Usually, only RM/Namjoon gets to speak because he's the only one who can speak English, but here they are allowed to speak and translate the words as they should. Everyone should be allowed to speak and have their voiced be heard. I don't understand why the other interviews/channels don't do the same thing. They have money to buy a translator. Anyways, major respect to the interviewer for being kind-hearted, open-minded, and welcoming to BTS, and to the wonderful makes of this video.
I'M 2 years late but MASSIVE RESPECT to DJ Adele Roberts. Thank you for being genuine and letting the boys be themselves. Love BTS. To think BTS had never set foot in UK to 2 days of housefull Concert at Wembley .....truly astonishing. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 to Adele 💜💜💜💜❤❤❤❤ to BTS.
I love this interview, and not just because they're all like so cool. The interviewer respeted them so much and didn't ask stupid questions. They also didn't dub it, which they do sometimes. Bless this interviewer
Yes, it was so nice seeing an English-speaking interviewer asking thoughtful, respectful questions. I hope they weren't disappointed by the socks (poor V - someone else's autograph, used gum, acrylic stands of Suga, socks...) but at least it was cute and they all got the same thing, plus DJs on a tight budget. ;)
I can’t believe they’ve reached this level of fame! I’ve been a fan since late 2014 and to see them dominate worldwide continues to blow my mind every day. I love them, and am so proud of them.
Shadow_Owl242 me too!!! Ikr like I cry every time I see this stuff. Even tho I know how popular they are, every time it hits me so hard. Like gyaaaaaaaahhhhhh I'm so proud
Shadow_Owl242 ive been with them since first half of 2013 or last part of 2012 and my brain still doesnt recognize them as humans...like real ones.. like my brain thinks they arent real
Holy shit this is what I call a good interview, reporters take notes please!!! I like that the choreographers take a time to explain that BTS music has very important message.
My ultimate bias Suga silent for the most of the interview... First words: JUST... SLEEP!!!! I just can't with him:) And V (yep, bias) is gorgeous, and JK's smile is contagious, and Hobi (biaswrecker) is such a sunshine, and Jimin is so humble and cute, and Jin is worldwide handsome, and RM is so grateful and happy... They are too much:)
I'm so happy they were given a decent interview and not stupid American drama questions like "have u ever hooked up with a fan" or "celebrity crushes" and actually ask how hard they work, they didn't work their arses off to be asked about their dating life, thank you BBC!!!
That's us Brits for you. We don't give a fuck about relationships. Well, I can't vouch for everyone, but people I know and myself included, we don't care about relationships and drama. lol
h a n e u l but this statement somehow hurts me too... I was born in the same era with them when they've been those worldwide talented inspiring superstar but here I am a useless potato who's still questioning about my future
i SCREAMED when son seungduk came on screen!!! bts really has the best people working with them- great producers, great choreographers, great managers, aaaaaa i love that you went above and beyond for them thank you so much
i didn't mean that bighit has literally the best staff in the world and no other company can do it better tho lol? the word "best" is pretty subjective and would reasonably differ between people. it was like a common exaggeration, like if someone does a favor for me sometimes instead of saying thank you i'll say "you're the best!" or when im hungry i might say "im starving" tho i don't actually mean it
So great they interviewed the choreographer! He’s such a key to their success with these epic choreographies. And what a great interview with the boys. I’m crying a little bit because I’m so proud of them and how deeply I love each and every one of them. I’m sure I can speak for all of us! :)
With Brittany Yes! He gives them not just killer moves but a repertoire that feels consistent across all their performances. He gives them a style that is BTS and BTS alone. ♥
Actually they will be surprised at how many older army members they have. I was introduced to they by my daughter, and honestly I am a bigger fan than she is. Technically I am #MomARMY!!!!
Me too! I’m not too much older than them though being that I’m just 31(32 November of this year), but I have some grown kids and I’m a grandmother to a one year old. RM is my husband though.😍🙈😂🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
You should watch bts interview at grammy museum the full version with eng subs this is a 30minutes interview and that's honestly the best interview im still wondering why no body watched it cause it only have like 7000 vues on youtube !!
Lahsen, that Grammys interview was really spot on.. the questions asked were so precise and respectful without downplaying the music genre. I agree, definitely one of the best interview for the boys.
OMG YOUR REALLY EVERYWHERE. THATS SCARY. anyways. *I wish that too 😭😭😭 bruh she made it sound so easy... I'm jelly but happy for her too! Getting to meet and talk to legends*
The way she was introducing them and appreciating their work. I loved that.I have seen a lot of interviewers were rude with them. But she is so humble.... 😊💜 I love the way she talked about their achievment and appreciated them😍
Some people think we are just a bunch of teenagers obsessing over a trendy boy band, but only we know what they mean to us and how they inspire us everyday with their words and their lyrics. BTS and Army together make a family, a family I never want to let go of :')
Not awkward and comfortable! And subs for K-Diamonds Awesome! Also thanks for showing them that one fan, her love is big but they can't imagine the love of the entire Global A.R.M.Y!! Wow global fans GO BTS also V don't tell your future son you were famous tell him you were Global lmao
The Flying Cake In The Spring Day MV Wow so you're extra lucky. My name is so uncommon so the chances of bts saying it is slim to none. What's more is its hard for a lot of people to pronounce.
This is by far the best Interview I’ve seen of the boys from the UK and America. Thank you bbc this was such a wonderful way to understand the boys we love so much.
勇利さん Yaaas. I got so tired of all those other shitty interviews just asking very shallow things. Zach was truly intrested and brought up so many nice things
They're so relaxed and kinda laid back in this interview. This is more like it. No pressure and everyone's pitchin' in their thoughts. Great job, BTS! you really took us by HAILS and STORMS... and twisters, thunderstorms, and snowstorms, tornadoes, dust storms, tsunamis, undersea and e-quakes, eruptions, landslides, hurricanes, wildfires, cyclones, blizzards, avalanches, sinkholes, and heatwave.
Knotty Chan yeah I agree. It wasn't as awkward as alot of their English interviews and I think it's because they were in a familiar environment and they still all spoke Korean alot.
“Listen, my son, I was famous” - Kim Taehyung.
Baby, that’s an understatement.
Can I ask you why that's understatement? I'm so sorry behalf on V @margarethgirsang
and his son's name going to be kimchi.. hahaha
Kim TaeTae I think she meant that, Taehyung is MORE than just famous ;)
That's why it's an understatement.

Wow this many likes ? Lol
Mon Bon well u know america gushes over relationships so in the UK it’s way different
Soneful I guess
Mon Bon well also consider that this is a BBC documentary, so asking questions like that would be unprofessional and out of place in this situation.

11:19 "ESPECIALLY JIN"
Jin: O.o
BTS: xDD
Also Stephanie so lucky xD!
Yeah! she is actually very lucky...😍😍
Idk.... moving to Korea just bc of bts..... makes me feel like she’s a bit obsessed.....
@@eira72 i read that she is actually an english teacher in Korea, she didn't move merely for BTS . She killed two birds with one stone , she had a job offer and in Korea, where bts is from. Lucky Girl!!!
BangtanExoBlackpinklove then why didn’t they say that?
@@eira72 i really don't know why they didn't mention that detail!!! they made her seem obsessed, thats sad!!!
Whenever I hear the boys talking about how much they love ARMYs, my heart flutters and I can't help but smile. Anyone else feel the same or am I the only one?
Golden Sugakookie At that part I was like "ooooooooh they're so cute ♡". Happens all the time!!!
YESSSS ME TOOO
ugh me too 💜
I totally feel like they have this special way of saying ARMY and it's like they're speaking of you directly instead of millions of fans... I just.. my hearteu
Golden Sugakookie Me too
That wasn’t awkward at all!! Awesome interview!!
RM just wearing the socks on his hands like that's normal lmao
It was gloves just like jimin get gloves too

"Despacito is absolutely massive on UK, so why not K-pop next?" *pointing at BTS* "And this is going worldwide, baby."
WE STAN AN INTERVIEWER LIKE THIS.
But kpop songs are produced by western producers
@@estelaangeles2346 that's what makes bts different. unlike any other korean groups, these boys wrote most of their songs on every albums. bts' rapline (suga, rm & jhope) has released their own mixtapes; hope world, mono, agust d & d-2. all written and produced by themselves. vocal line has released their own songs too and they wrote it by themselves, you can check them out. oh, and their upcoming album 'BE' that will be released on November 20th will fully be directed, written, composed and produced by BTS. you should check it later once its out!

sophia tan Of course he is 😭💕
ikr he looked so smol omg

oh !! so cute
😍😍😍
this is the best interview of bts so far, it's so raw and just so beautiful. the interviewer isn't feeling awkward herself or making them feel awkward. the english subtitles for international fans and korean subtitles for k-diamonds, this is just so thoughtful. great great job, bbc. the interviewer was literally a part of conversation and the message at the end of the video made bts look so much more than just a 'trend' or 'instant hit'. it made them look like they paved the way for literally so many cultures and overall, excellent job, adele.
you should see this interview... it is literally the best I've seen: ua-cam.com/video/yc7_Q_hL6F8/v-deo.html
I am)
She got them... Socks but I dunno if that's a good thing. I also like the way BTS' English is improving so much. They're growing a lot so by the end of 2018 I wouldn't even be surprised if every country knew them.
One of the best .
Ashley Ike well you gave the best description and explanation to tell that this is the best international interview I've ever seen so far
I think Koreans are really fond of socks so I think it's a very nice gift! 💜
It's a cute gift! 😆
This lady was one of the first foreign media who appreciated BTS and believed in them
i’m just so glad they asked good questions and not if they had girlfriends or not.
*listen son, i was famous*
J K
Just imagine an older V telling his son to sit down next to him so that he can tell him a story and saying that. 😂😂
In the UK, we don't care about relationships like Americans do. lol Not that I have anything against Americans. XD
Ssly it felt good to listen only reasonable questions.
I felt the same way, like they were legit interested in how they managed to pierce even though they were not that well known at the beginning!
Idk much about American TV/ Radio but the BBC is very neutral and factual in its content. They do thorough research beforehand and rarely give opinions. I like it because they allow celebrities to have a personal life as well instead of asking about their love life
"Listen my son, I was famous"
All I could think about was how Taehyung said he was going to name his son Kimchi😂
Golden Sugakookie kimchi is good! Last name Kim, name Chi is good. xD
Golden Sugakookie kimchi is good :)
Golden Sugakookie my god you’re everywhere 😂😂😂
Thats my name again
Golden Sugakookie omg same 😂😂 Kimchi Kim
The _biggest K-Pop band in the world_ but look at their 'aww' faces when examining socks😭💖

They'll have to come to the UK in summer so they can wear shorts to show off those socks!
Even small gestures make them happy😭💜
I love how all the members get happy when she said jin

“Is it your dream to be famous in every country”
Suga:sure, why not?
Namjoon:there goes my confidence

Suga wants it he gets it
Ahah shy Joonie 🥺
"The most famous Kpop group in the world"
I love that sprite
Golden Sugakookie i hope they will stop with "kpop", and just call them "korean"
But they're a kpop group so it doesn't really matter
yeah sprite is a good drink
Kermit Oppa kpop is a term given by westerns to korean singers. koreans dont refer to them as kpop, they either say idol music (exo, svt, ...) or korean music (bts, psy, ...). the difference is that lots of knetz agree that bts have th HAN, an essential part of real music. (im condensing this sooo much it'll be better if u search it up urself, IT'S a pretty big and interesting subject)
popo it does tho.
Can we talk about how they put in Korean subtitles for K-diamonds? That is so sweet, it makes my heart melt. I hope it made K-diamonds very happy
S W this is really the best interview ever!! I don't think any other interview has done that! It's just really sweet of them.
I am glad someone show their respects towards the choreographer. He has done a reaaaaaally great job their choreography is one of the main reasons I got intrigued in BTS
Stephenie: especially Jin
Jin:*confused*
Me:Jin’s face tho😂😂😂
I was so happy she did that... !!!
Jin is so underrated and I think he feels like this too because epiphany is all about him being underrated. My heart melted when she said especially Jin because I absolutely love him.

I really want to see videos of BTS learning all the dances from their choreographer ;)
mint sugar Bless that man too!!! I love those choreographies.
This interviewer is so nice! Comparing to all those people interviewing them in the US... This has to be the most refreshing one. And I love the fact that they put subtitles in Korean! I mean, how respecting is that!? The UK is not expecting everyone to speak English even among the members and I just love everything about this 😭♥️
America, take notes.
Yessss! When I saw that they put Korean subtitles I was like hell yeah! Go UK! ✊🏼 I'm sure K-ARMY really appreciated it too. 💜
you see, everyone in London isn't rude. oof my country's doing well. If that sounded rude, I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude

As an American, I agree. They're treated like foreigners with a foreign culture by interviewers, unlike this one. Fantastic! Love bts
Ikr wow
This is obviously the best interview, like she has so much respect for them, even interviewed the choreographer, added subtitles for koreans and so good that gave stephanie an unforgettable moment. 💕💕💕
Not Korean and can't read Korean, but thumbs up for BBC 1 for taking the time to put Korean translations on this! You guys are awesome x
Such a nice detail for k-fans, kudos to BBC1 for this.

Whatever BBC does is always high quality :)
yeah but i feel like namjoon likes doing this
If I could I would be their translator without being paid!!! Just watching them would be way more than enough...💜💜💜

I hope they weren't disappointed by the socks (poor V - someone else's autograph, used gum, acrylic stands of Suga, socks...) but at least it was cute and they all got the same thing, plus DJs on a tight budget. ;)

The amount of love I want to show for this interview and the lady is massive.
I'm so happy they were given a decent interview and not stupid American drama questions like "have u ever hooked up with a fan" or "celebrity crushes" and actually ask how hard they work, they didn't work their arses off to be asked about their dating life, thank you BBC!!!
I agree. This was a great interview.
That's us Brits for you. We don't give a fuck about relationships. Well, I can't vouch for everyone, but people I know and myself included, we don't care about relationships and drama. lol
Hey those bad American interviews gave us great crack videos and memes XD

K this is about bts.go talk bout yg elsewhere
i didn't mean that bighit has literally the best staff in the world and no other company can do it better tho lol? the word "best" is pretty subjective and would reasonably differ between people. it was like a common exaggeration, like if someone does a favor for me sometimes instead of saying thank you i'll say "you're the best!" or when im hungry i might say "im starving" tho i don't actually mean it
no my statement that "no other company can do it better" was also part of the stuff that "i didn't mean".... i think you just misinterpreted it?
K that's ur own opinion.end of..get the hell outta here.. bighit is better than yg..there i said it
