🎵Your right disposable music does not last like the classic songs that still get played today. 🎶 Our daughter writes sad songs sometimes because that is how she can express herself as a struggling student with debt. I'm sure other students will be able to relate to her songs. Hopefully I will be able to get her some Radio play when her EP comes out. Good luck to all Independent Artists. It's not easy. I have a famous British Band paying to overtake me in the search engines with my Brand name. Very unfair system.
🚨INDEPENDENT ARTISTS 🚨 you owe it to youself to give this FULL video your UNDIVIDED attention, TAKE NOTES, implement what was discussed, and watch your life change. They basically laid out the entire for all that we need to suceed right here. Thank you both so much 🙏🏾💪🏾✊🏾💯💜
I started selling my CDs to cars on the side of the off ramp cuz I was dead broke. Now I've been doing it full-time for years. I pay all my bills with CD money, including paying for marketing my music. During covid I made so much that I took $3k and got camera requirement. Now I shoot my own videos too
@@blankzvalesyde7848 You relax, the man doesn't speak English, he made it clear. Or don't you know that subtitles are translated into other languages? I think that's what he's referring to. You are the rudeboy.
@@ELDiosThePrescription Your comment appears to lack understanding, perhaps due to not knowing the context of mine. Please understand that English is not my native language. When the video was uploaded, there were no subtitles available, and I watch all videos on this channel in my preferred language for clarity. Where exactly is the lack of respect in this situation? Is it too much to ask for a bit of understanding regarding the challenges of language barriers and the use of translation tools?
43:09 THIS is the conversation I’ve been looking for. I’ll watch some of these marketers and they always say “SINGLES SINGLES SINGLES” and whenever I find a new artist then dive into their catalog I get irritated because they have nothing but a few singles. I have multiple projects out and they get streams every day. I’ve always thought to myself “if I just grow my catalog like Curren$y, I’ll eventually get to a million dollars” and this just confirmed it for me
One of my favorite videos, I watched the full things and this will definitely be taken as wisdom to help me grow not only me as an artist, or my music, but also my brand.
Artist have to understand they are employees commission-based employees if you want to be independent that means you are a contractor is just like any other business but the artist need to understand you work for somebody which would be a company and you will be considered a commission based employee
This was a GREAT CONVERSATION. Especially about the ever changing nature of the algorithm from what I gathered (I’ll go back to that). Happy Birthday Curtique!!!! 🥳🥳 I know I’m late to the party … all the best!!
Great interview I thoroughly enjoyed... but one criticism I do have and I've watched a couple of ur interviews...sometime bro you try to make your point be known a lil too much and be interrupting the guy your interviewing. Not saying u can't speak on you points but I'm sure most people watching know your stand and Wana here the speaker. Netherless I enjoyed this. Thanks
Before the pandemic i told artists who wasn't getting much live performances all they have to do is set up a nice small like stage in the verandah, the house or the yard, put a nice back drop, some lighting, some speakers & to don't make it look to empty add couple palm trees on the stage & do live performances for their IG, FB, Tiktok, UA-cam.. they all thought i was crazy until the pandemic came & they all ended up doing it..
OH MY FUCKIN GAWD - BASS THEORY - I came to this conclusion about 3 or 4 months ago. All that 90's Hip Hop sampled 70, 80's funk - grooves that trapped you. We lost the real grooves because of copyright, session musicians being expensive and groove-boxes (ironically enough, a lot easier to sample a static note in a basic pattern)
It's the reason why House became Pop music - and yes add into the fact NO ONE is listening to music with the correct equipment, and everyone is squashing dynamics. I like this dude
and if you take the theory further, the emergance of UK drill - the 808 slides and glides - those grooves that had been lost making a reemergence. 😂 I spent a good 3 months racking my brain and analysing performances
this new era of younger artists don't see themselves as a brand, they looking for the cheapest way to do their music even if it sounds like a demo that is not mixed & mastered, all they looking for it that it goes viral on tiktok, IG & youtube.
@CurtissKingTv Brother do have mods? This isn’t the platform for trolls . Respectfully G . Remove your troll. All I know is the best position to have is that we don’t know everything and we are not supposed to. Be careful of the music you put in your ear bc music is man-made; be careful of what you read because the Bible is man made. Trust your instincts God has made it so that he can speak and guides you everyday. There is no need to repent, no music needed, no fancy words. When you change, you change. God will see and know that you are better. Remember to breath, eat and sleep well to take care of your body and be good to one another. It’s really that simple.
77 tracks is crazy 😂😂😂😂 I heard this new afrosoul artist prttyfsce did 5 songs on the access album his dropping this year on Sunday that boi had shades on like mj 😅 he did that in front of me like honestly I couldn’t believe it. and did that in one takes back to back after another dayummm the quality shhhhhi you be the judge if his music finds you this year and next year
Why is it that I never here these knowledgeable people address the real problem. Accessibility. 158 Million songs were under 1k streams in 2023. The real problem is there is too much music.
