How To Animate Your Photos In Photoshop - Plotagraph Effect

  • In this tutorial I will show you how to bring your photos into life. How to animate your photos and create a little bit more interesting piece of art ;)
    Similar to Plotagraph.
    With that technique you can animate any image that you want!
    This is just one of many ways how to animate your photos in Photoshop.
    You can achieve a similar effect (sometimes even better) if you animate an opacity instead of adding FADE IN and FADE OUT transitions.
    So it's up to you to experiment and have fun.

    I love when you say "How do I make this difficult task?" and after a second you
    answer: "VEEERY EASILY".

    I thought this effect was more difficult than it is. I guess careful masking and multiple layers would get a really really high quality product

      @@NemanjaSekulic I've got a question on this, if you say had a plane that you wanted to animate to move across the frame and also wanted to animate the trail of it, would you do that in 2 separate layers one with the plane the other with the trail. Or is there a way to animate one layer in two different ways?

    • @NemanjaSekulic

      I would probably do that in a 2 layers.

    nice tutorial, I've tried this technique before but there's always something that doesnt look very nice and still haven't found a solution and it's that it's too noticeable the transition from the last seconds to the begining of the animation, how can we make that change smoother so no one can notice when it starts/ends?

    • @NemanjaSekulic
      @NemanjaSekulic  6 років тому

      You need to experiment with a transition timing. Try to watch the tutorial one more time slowly.

    Amazing tutorials!! I'm new to Photoshop and dived straight into this - I'm loving my transition of the loops of my image (which is a mountain scene with two trees in the foreground - I am making the clouds move in the sky), but when I watch the playback, at some specific moments I can see a a ghostly outline of tree branches moving through the image due to the transition in the layer. I've tried brushing it out with quick select, like you show with preventing your image's ear to move, but I can't get rid of it. Now I have a few layers with extra masks at different points in the time line where I'm trying to catch these moving parts that I don't want to move... which I know isn't the best way. Do you have any advice or is it possible to work with you one-on-one for an hour online to figure this out specifically for my files? Thanks so much and keep up the amazing tutorials! :)

    Hi man, just a question... When I save (for web legacy) what option should i use? optimized or original? In both case the final result is really grany despite the original picture was very clean. I tried everything just i can't save a clean and detailed gif :(

    • @NemanjaSekulic
      @NemanjaSekulic  6 років тому

      If you want to use gif, put all the settings to maximum. But I never use save for web if I want a jpg. Because nowadays internet speed is much faster and that small difference is not so crucial.

    • @IanRiot
      @IanRiot 6 років тому

      so, if I want an endless loop I can save the file as jpg? i was thinking that saving as jpg resulted in a still frame. Will give it a try, thank you man!
      edit: Man, I wasn't clear in my question, sorry!
      I mean, I want to save a clean gif, not picture. The starting picture was crispy and clean, but te final gif results be really grany and pixelate. I was wondering how to save a good quality gif (i'm already using all settings setted at maximum)

    • @NemanjaSekulic

      Did you try to set the slider manually to maximum? Don't use presets that says maximum...
