    Hey you guys at the comment section ..... all of you are talking about soils and critisizing the video. This is the first time in india that ada is holding a nature aquarium contest.Its different from the other setup..thats why using 20 kgs of soil.. If they would have used 10 kgs of soil then there would be no difference between this and the other setups...This is unique!

    Hello Sir,
    Please let me know did you guys introduced filter and C02 into it
    Also how you removed the Algea

    • @TropiCoAqua
      @TropiCoAqua  6 років тому

      This one has an ADA ES1200 filter, with Biorio as the media. CO2 supply is through pressurised Co2 cylinder and is on a timer which co-incides with the lights. Algae will naturally occur as the aquarium cycles, initially there are excess nutrients in the water more than what the plants need and therefore algae thrives. Over time as plants grow, algae does not get adequate nutrients, phospates are also under control. Regular water changes will help in clearing off excess nutrients and more importantly waste accumulation.

    • @TropiCoAqua
      @TropiCoAqua  6 років тому

      Driftwood is wood that has naturally fallen in water and has dried up over time. The passage of water over the wood creates interesting grooves and patterns. Most of the wood sold in the market however is roots of the red moor tree or similar. They are dry and easy to use in underwater scapes and sink in relatively fast.

    Dont know where was the triangle ratio in the tank. Choice of wood seems pretty average. Scape looks 2012 or 13 type, not the current IAPLC standard. Overall disappointing for ADA India. Adip spent time in Japan with Takashi amano, but I feel adip has to spend time in nature to understand more. Finer points. Just my 2 cents.

    • @TropiCoAqua
      @TropiCoAqua  5 років тому

      Hi Siddhesh, this one is an ADA (Aqua Design Amano) setup. The idea was to have a showcase ADA setup in our Gallery, using all ADA products. So, everything used in this setup is from the ADA range of products, from the 120P Aquarium, the RGB LED Lights,the ES1200 Filter, the ADA Amazonia substrate, Power Soil, Bacter 100,Clear Super,etc. An ADA only setup like this will cost approximately close to Rs.4 Lakhs. Similar results can also be achieved using other brands or a combination thereof,depending on one's budget. The most important aspects to consider while planning a planted aquarium are 1)Good Lighting 2) Good Filtration 3) Good Substrate 4) CO2 System 5)Adequate and timely dosing of Fertilisers combined with regular water changes. Brands/products used can differ as per one's budget.

      Actually, the scape was planned in a way to show a slope, with two driftwoods on either side of the scape and a 'valley' in between. The high level of substrate at the back, was also to showcase the different substrates used, starting with the Power Soil as the first layer, followed by Amazonia as the second layer and finally Amazonia Powder type as the top layer. The back layer is about 7-8 inches high, while the front is about 2 inches. Over the last 2 years of this scape, the substrate has leveled out more in the front. One can see more updates on our facebook page facebook.com/tropicoaqua. Will share a recent video of the same scape soon.
