Damn, that look in brother's eyes in the opening shot. A thousand yard stare, with a weariness and sadness beyond what you see in most young men's eyes.
Thank you for continuing to fight the good fight, it seems you have solid help at home. My local VA pushed a shit ton of garbage medication on me... I was a walking fucking zombie but I got my life back after seeking help privately. Thank you for your advice warrior! Semper Fi Sgt!!
Same path I had taken. I enlisted at 19 in 1979. Wespac cruise, stayed in the reserves and got out to become a cop in SoCal. Recalled during Desert Storm. A world of difference deploying as a family man compared to my enlistment from HS. Having a family was difficult. Retired now and worked only 2 jobs in my life. I miss being young, almost 64.
You did what you had to do. I greeted my brother when he came home after his first fbi shooting. Bank robber, rolled out of his vehicle with a pistol after crashing. I said “ this means nothing from me, but if it was you, or him, you had no choice”. God bless.
These videos help me out a lot. The stories are painful but at the same time inspiring. Gives me a little kick in the ass to say hey, look what these guys have endured and they're still "in the fight". I don't mean combat, I mean dealing with civilian life with trauma, mental health issues and sometimes susbstance abuse problems. I never served but I was a cop and now I'm still trying to figure out life after being a cop.
I didnt have near the experience Shane had but I still have/had some of the same feelings after getting out of the corps. Lost, no mission, no family, and just not sure on how to tackle it all myself.. so suppress and carry on was the strategy.. it doesn’t work forever though. Anyways.. I really just wanted to say thank you Shane for sharing your stories and your msg at the end hit home. God bless you
Good....glad to see Shane turn this around. I'll also say in my life I phrased it as attachment. Attachment of who I was and didn't want to let go of that because of the fear of the unknown in moving forward without it. The known is easy but becomes stagnant. It's best to reassess and to let go of the un-needed and move on. Urban Valor you're doing a good thing here....thank you.
If you read this soldier. From one to another. The fogg of War made this. Dont burden youreself. Its War. Wish you heal from this experience and seeing it as just what it is fogg of War the imperfection in all the things we may encounter in War. Bless You.❤❤
Try and get jocko willink on here... I like this channel, big thanks to all the men and women soldiers who fought for our freedom, and blessings to the one we lost 🙏 💙
I think men like this can understand the gospel a lot better than most. He seems like a strong guy, i wish him all the forgiveness he wants to find for himself
Never been there ,he was a bad man . Thank you for my freedom on this weekend of independence ,never forget he would have got u if you weren't faster with God bless u and please keep telling your story ,TRUST IN THE LORD he will ALYAYS b there for u
My life partner son joined USMC at 17.After training, off to Iraq.Went over on USS Boxer.3/4 special-ops.After tour, separated.Went off to Afghanistan, security contractor. After that,he and "brother" who was Army sniper arrived in Ukraine, where they are now.He will be coming home for indeterminate time, then back to Ukraine.
@@Dubbletap187 if they're a civilian, they're probably repeating the Special Operations Capable designation that they hear of -- especially from a Boot who thinks it's different than my era. I was India 3/4.
Shane was sympathetic to the armed terrorist he killed in front of the terrorist’s family. But the terrorist would have had no problem killing Shane or any other Marine while the terrorist’s family watched.
Not spending time in prayer and not reading the Bible is like not using your weapons in combat. 3-5 chptrs of scriptures and an hr of prayer a day will change your life.
I dont like our veterans, I fucking LOVE them. I feel for this man and everything hes going through just recounting this story. I would do anyhting to help veterans and always will. I will always fight against the politicians who put our men in these situations in whatever way I can.
Love this guy! The Lord can give us a peace w/o understanding. The Holy Spirit is the comforter, the healer and the teacher... Jesus is King! He is the Prince of Peace! I like reading about King David and his mighty men. They battled it out hand to hand and saw and did many of the same things. I see King David handling his battles though the help and the guidance of the Lord. The bible says to pray continually. To pray non stop. Their is healing and strength in that. Draw near to the Lord and He'll draw near to you. He weighs the thoughts and intentions of the heart. We do not fool Him. He loves us. The Father loves you. Jesus loves you. The Holy Spirit loves you. Satan hates you. But He who is in you is greater then he who is in the world. They're more with us, then with them. Christains are the head and not the tail. We are above and not below. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Continually call on Him, He'll come, He'll heal you. He'll strengthen you. He'll give you peace and joy. He'll give you sweet sleep. This is a fallen world. This is a sick world. We just react in it. React to survive. Reacting while serving. Those were good shoots. It really was just business. It was his day to die. It was not your fault. He chose to do what he did or was doing. My day to die will come. Lord have mercy on us all. I don't deserve heaven. I deserve hell. But Jesus saved me. The church lady from snl says, "well, isn't that special." I say your dam right it is! Now be gone from me you ol' slew foot bitch.
You're not supposed to kill and your not supposed to covet and you're not supposed to lie. No sin is greater than another. If I tell a lie that is not better than killing someone both sins are equal in God's eyes. The fact that you have remorse you have feeling you hate what happened, God forgives you. It's something you will have to live with for the rest of your life but just know God loves you from what I can see of your heart and God can see all of your heart he forgives you and he loves you and he loves that guy you had to kill. The way you feel about that killing is how everyone should feel for any sin they commit like I said no sin is greater than another we're all going to sinits what's inside your heart that matters. I'm sorry you have this to live with just know God does love you and I love you and thank you for all your sacrifices for this country!!!

What specific threat do you believe Iraqis posed to American security or freedom which would warrant our unprovoked war/occupation on their country?

Considering there’s no such thing as 3/4 “special ops” I’d say great story.

Shane's story is Incredible!
Why is the audio all on the left except the intro music?
G.I. Joe was the business!

You murdered no person. Hold your head high, knowing you did the right thing. If a person goes to battle, a simple choice awaits.
Wish the audio was better
Maybe I’m slow, yet how were they preparing for deployment before 9/11?
It was a peacetime deployment they were training for.

I thought I was watching a Sean Astin interview at first 😂😂😂 he looks just like him
lets try to stop sacrificing our young men on the "altar of freedom" that that evil men keep telling us is necessary
