• Fun FISHING for STEELH... | Steelhead fishing on the lower Klamath River August, 2023. There is no salmon fishing or retention for sport anglers in order to try to protect the already low number of returning salmon. Steelhead fishing is allowed, and you can retain two hatchery steelhead per day. There is no fishing allowed 500 feet below and above Blue Creek.

I went combat fishing on the Klamath in 2007. Was a great experience. Hope to return someday. That was some intense and difficult fishing. Contending with other fishers, Indians, and seals was crazy.
