The great Luan bird, though I greatly prefer the translation of “Ancient Phoenix”, is gonna be Lin’s “White Whale” for quite a while. I love that they did a nice job with Mu Xianxian’s character design, very cute. She is his battlefield waifu and I love the synergy they have in the light novel.

The captain of the squad is such a shameless individual. She has had so many opportunities to learn from her previous mistakes and stop judging Lin, but at every opportunity she gets, she jumps to incorrect conclusions/assumptions! That is insanity. Lin being a chad saving them and putting them first without a care for how stupid they act! One of the best MC's.

I won't lie, I am not perfect and I have made the mistake of being quick to judge and I have had to deal with the consequences of my mistakes. That said, I put myself in the captain's shoes and I agree with you up to a certain point. Most people, not everyone, would agree with the captains first thoughts of Lin ("what the heck is this low level dude doing here and why is he giving me advice?")! At this point, its really easy as humans to miss subtle clues about situations we face and judge people incorrectly (in this case brush Lin off as low level scrub and take his advice as what it was not [an insult]). This is where we differ in opinion. We can choose to accept judgement like the captain or try to think more about the situation critically. Some people who would stop and ask themselves, why is there a Level 33 person here at this place where level 50's struggle and more importantly how is he surviving here solo? The chances of him encountering other enemies (neutral monsters, dragons or demons) is very high. The other races smell humans from 100's of meters away and chase/fight them for fun and the monsters of this realm with even greater senses are constantly on the prowl for food. What are the chances that a level 33 person is just chilling and strolling around the middle of the realm where the monsters are the most dangerous without ever being intercepted? By now, I think the point has been made clear. The most probable reality is that he has very strong support/backing or he is incredibly strong himself. This is just thinking on the information that was giving within 5 minutes of the encounter. Remember, this is a survival situation and most people who are experienced with average intelligence have the ability to come to similar conclusions based on the plethora of information present! If you have a different interpretation you would like to share, feel free! I am very open to things I have not yet encountered (ideas or otherwise). Thanks again.

That bird is proper pissed off. So perhaps it'd want to savor killing Lin itself without help. So my guess is that it's not going to tolerate Mina being around where they'd then fight. Mina will critically weaken it where Lin takes advantage and finishes it off. He can then use his Scythe on it. If he's successful in resurrecting it, he can then use Mighty Soldiers on it which should be more than enough to at least hold off Mina or maybe even kill her.
