    Have you heard of rock and rail? They actually travel through the canyon and bring ballest from the quarry they have up there and head to Pueblo to interchange with BNSF

    • @jointlinerailfan403
      @jointlinerailfan403  2 роки тому +1

      Yep rock and rail is our sister company. They actually interchange with UP. We rarely see them during the daily operations as they usually pass through canon city in early AM

      @@jointlinerailfan403 oh they are sister company? Nice, I got all this info from talking to the conducters there, they said BNSF but I didn’t know it was UP

      @@jointlinerailfan403 Also I know Tennessee pass isn’t operational by UP anymore, but there has been videos of BNSF and UP going through there. Like in the 2000s and 2010s could you explain that?

      @@Sonic.Mario.64 this is likely contract runs. BNSF does runs through the gorge here and there moving coal cars into and out of storage. And once in a while they will take a rock train and pick up ballast

    Word of caution using drones for UA-cam content FAA requires the drone operator to have a part 107 certification

      @jointlinerailfan403  2 роки тому +1

      Oh no kidding. Just cant film anything anymore, gotta have a certificate. Now im debating flying now. Did you get it?

      @@jointlinerailfan403 I sure did because my broke @$$ can't afford a 10k to 25k fine. Yall think the FRA is rough wait till you meet the FAA they have zero cares. Its 175$ for the test and its well worth getting too protect yourself and channel. Once you get that you can make money flying your drone for advertising or media projects or video content.

      I've always liked your content just make sure you look little more into the regulations bud

      Gotchya. I appreciate it that you let me know. I wouldve probably found out the hard way. Guess for now ill ground the drone until i can get it. Just got some stuff at work to study for plus outside of work. So ill get it, just not for a little while

      @@jointlinerailfan403 I still have the study book if you would like it and I wouldn't ground your drone I would put in the description that you're flying "recreational" and the FAA nazis will stay off your butt till you get monetized on UA-cam.

    The first passenger run I've ever seen so far with now regular six axle EMD's for power. I hope by least we replace the Alco's here at Adirondack RR with an SD70 or by least some C40-8's or two one day upon my shifts running here.

      Yep we enjoy the new power down here. They arent as iconic as some of our other motors, but they run well. And we enjoy the cost savings on fuel. Cheers
