Bro, grateful for ur insight. Was wondering if u could go into the Fall out after pushing back on the associate overworking u? Would word get around and harm ur reputation, even a little, or is it best to continue sucking it up and maybe talk to the associate privately?
my situation was a little different because I was in my 2nd year and had a good reputation and everyone in my group didn't like this associate. if i was in my first year or working with an associate in my group honestly i would've just sucked it up (which i had in the past as well). in my 2nd year i felt i knew what was ridiculous and could push back on and what i couldn't
when you were at JP, how much hours were you doing there a day? Like, 15, 16 or 18, 19? I'm an intern in a hedge fund focused in Real Estate and Alternative Investments here in São Paulo (Brazil). I'm 18 and in the second year of college, but at the same time I consider IB as a potential career to me, but the amount of hours, mainly in the weekends, scare me! What do you think about it?
At what college did you study banking? Also, do you have any advice or recommendations on what colleges you should get into to get into or learn a lot about the industry in general? :)
4:11 love how casually you said you were working normal hours from 9am to 2am 🤣
You sir deserve an Employee of the Year award for that 28 hour assignment!
Thank you for sharing your experience. Everyone have these bad days in their career. Even me.
Omg I can relate to the bad associate one, instead I had a bad associate AND a bad Vice President. It was a total nightmare
i feel ya
I've been following your channel for a while. I've definitely learned a lot from your videos. Planning on going into equity research.
Wow thanks for the pin!
The protected weekend policy is now once a quarter ):
damn that's crazy
Thank you for sharing your very interesting histories, it helps a lot to know more about investment banking 😄

So if you need to find information on a private company and that information doesn't exist, what are you doing with the report/analysis then?
