    I have only just discovered these clips and they are a wonderful part of musical history and talent. I was born in the late sixties and my everyday preferences for music are varied but i love the art deco period of music, fashion and architecture. My parents in law loved big bands and grew up going to dance halls etc. i love jazz, blues and these guys are so talented compared to some of the so called pop stars of today. This is class and style.
    Please keep the clips coming

    Why haven't they made a docu-drama about Al Bowlly? I'm a product of the 1960s but I appreciate great music when I hear it. & Al had it in spades. I read about him, a Lebanese man who travelled all over Africa before he settled in England. He was killed in a bombing raid by the Nazis in the 40s. There is a great story to tell. Finding the right charismatic would be difficult. He reminds me of a young Cary Grant.

      There is a small documentary about him on UA-cam it features, Roy Fox, Ray Noble, Joyce stone, Nat Gonella. Mona Lita, Tiny Winters and a couple of others. Can't remeber the title of the Doc right now though unfortunately, something. There really should be a Docudrama about him though,

    Cool bro, but what's with the creepy echo in so many, if not all, of the Ray Noble/Al Bowlly songs? Is it added? Personally it kinda dampens the music for me, though I get that some people might enjoy it because of the nod to The Shining or something...
    EDIT: if anyone is curious about what it's like to talk to a madman, but an angry one, not the sweet harmless kind, then read this thread. Notice how a great drama plays out entirely in their own world, and they actually feel it intensely. It's fascinating.

    • @thegoldenageofalbowlly2759
      @thegoldenageofalbowlly2759  5 місяців тому +2

      Since you're the only one that seems to be hearing a "creepy echo" maybe you could be the one to answer the question. I can't hear any creepy echo. Apart from the voice overs at the end and I wouldn't really call them creepy

      @@thegoldenageofalbowlly2759 You don't know if I'm the only one. Maybe I'm just the first to mention it, maybe even some viewers know you'd get snappy for no reason. I can only speculate.
      Here's the version without any echo or distortion. If you don't see a difference I suggest you have your ears examined.

      Hi there what particular footage are you referring
      To? I usually enhance and edit before I use them,so I find it strange that it would look lesser quality than it was originally. Yes technically in the internet world it would be classed as "stolen" but then I guess we're all guilty in that sense of the word.
