caused by a weak battery.
battery replacement has fixed this issue on this Mercedes Benz C Class 2.1 diesel - Авто та транспорт
10 degrees F this AM, I previously suspected that the battery would soon need to be replaced. The car started begrudgingly, then this message popped up. Thanks for posting, will have dealer test and replace the battery if need be.

My 2018 c220d has also been showing the same message for the past week when I start the car up in the morning but the message goes away after driving for 10 mins or so. I'm getting a new battery fitted tomorrow morning.
I got my battery tested at Kwick Fit a couple days ago they said the battery was fine, then again they were using an out of date battery tester from like 20 years ago, nothing like what your using Lol
If you test a battery right after you have been driving it may give false results as its been charged while driving. Best to do after the car has been off for a few hours

C350e hybrid had auxiliary battery malfunction for a few weeks and then today I got this same message stop and leave engine running...so my hybrid bit drained my regular battery?😊

When it's says recharge and test it means, fully recharge, completely. with a smart charger eg: I use Optimate 111. This will bring a bad battery back to life you may have to repeat charging two or three times. This charger is smart. I use it on my motorbikes, l leave it on all winter as a trickle charge. I have had two bike batteries say they are U/S after three charges, they are as good as new.
So what your saying is I can just recharge it instead of buying a new one?

After I leave it more than 20min the massage disappears and come back in next days will I need to change the battery

It will tell you “auxiliary battery malfunction” if your auxiliary battery had issues.

This can cause havoc to your electronics. I've seen it kill the entertainment system. It also has a big impact on fuel consumption
Sitting with a 2014 c180 battery was replaced next morning the error was back any advice would be appreciated

I guess there are some models that need a power source to keep the computer alive during a battery change.
Have this issue, even though both main and aux batteries replaced. Is there a way to reset please, or does this require a technician please

I wish you I was closer to you ! My Vito has developed a whistle , predominately when the turbo kicks in at 2000 revs. Should I get worried??😱
If it's a screeching whistle it could be the dreaded exhaust manifold bolts snapped 😢

You should disconnect the battery from the car before testing because there is a second, auxiliary battery that can give a false reading.
No auxiliary battery on this model
on the W205 there is a s small capacitor inside the car which just allows you to put the gear leaver into neutral and out of park. on the W204 you have a small battery in the boot.
when you get that message it is easy it is that you have to change the main battery of your car.

I think this occurs because something comes on in the car while its off our mercedes radio goes on and off by itself with the car off so turn ur music up high when u get out to see if u hear it i think thats why ours has this msg

Good it won't come back but if it comes back it's best to change the battery

Not really a big risk factor but I have seen some battery issues cause the center display screen to blow
my car has had this message pop up for about 3 monthes straight now but it still runs so i’d say it’s fine

@@destanyhope no immediate risk but it will overwork the alternator by trying to constantly keep it charged so wear it out over time. And it will decrease mpg slightly
