jankari me kuch correction hai - pahle 500 meter board rahta hai phir 250 meter board hota hai 2nd board DJ open ka tha jo ki nutral section se ek mast pahle laga hota hai aur last me jo tha symbol wo dj close ka tha... total 4 board hote hain .. aur sare reflective hote hai jisse ki rat me bhi asane se dekh sakte hain ...

Driving in the same route day after day, loco pilot knows each neutral section by heart. It's not a difficult task for him.

Loco pilot are driving at high speed then how come they lower the pantograph or switch it off so fast bcz it's a matter of friction of seconds while crossing the neutral section. If also they lower it then what about the supply to the locomotive?? So for every 30kms they would pe repeating the same procedure???? Pls explain

this my be possible for coaching trains but not for goods........particularly if there is undulating terrain then it is very difficult to implement, also signal aspects needs to be taken care of too..
This is one of the reasons why the max speeds are capped off at 160 km/hr, to allow for manual operations. Anything over 200+ km/hr needs automation of equipment to switch over.
This is not correct, neutral section breaks are not so that one phase is changed into another phase.
See, the voltage used by trains is 25kv which had comparatively high current too , ( from 500 amp to 1000amp or more for heavy loads) using long continuous cables at this current levels causes excessive heat creation in the wires.
That is why main transmission lines are at 110kv or 400kv or even higher as higher the voltage, lower is the current for same power usage.
Also, for a 500km rail link, there cannot be a single transmission line . So power for rail network is sourced from nearby transmission lines as much as possible.
Now each section will also need a transformer to step down the voltage from 110 kv or more to the 25 kv used by the trains.
So from cost and other requirements, it is ideal to have 30km sections on a single transformer .
So railway lines have breaks ie neutral section when shifting from one section to another every 30km or so.
Break are more for heavy duty areas like mumbai Suburban network which has neutral section per 10km
