I was very much a careless person... And one day I installed tik-tok, seeing videos of funny animals(thank Allah(swt) I never allowed or watched the prohibited ones)....one day I was just scrolling then there was this video, a brother who was badly injured, his both the legs were cut off, he was in ICU but still he was doing his prayers.... Masha'Allah, a lighting strike my heart.... From there I started doing my obligatory prayers, reading Qur'an, fasting... Ect. Till now, and I will continue till my end, Insha'Allah. Technology has two sides right n wrong.. N it's our choice to choose.

But if you're going to do sin, it is advised from a fellow Muslim to let you know you are doing wrong, as Allah has said in the Quran in Surah Asr: "By time, Indeed, mankind is in loss, Except for those who have believed and done righteous deeds and advised each other to truth and advised each other to patience."

If we all didn’t abide by “if you got it, flaunt it” & instead remained humble & modest, the unrealistic beauty standards wouldn’t exist. We wouldn’t deform ourselves trying to fit the unrealistic mold only attainable by plastic surgery & cosmetic procedures. We wouldn’t worry about looking old, we’d be grateful for the wisdom time gave us. If we all observed the hijab & lowered our gaze, & did not touch or flirt with the opposite gender, we wouldn’t have to worry as much about having an attractive person around our spouse. We would value ppl for their heart & their knowledge instead of being deceived by their outward appearance. Wallahi, Allah knew very well what our human weaknesses were when He made it obligatory for us to cover ourselves. It was to save us from us.

But when you swipe up its then a haraam video and you totally forget about the previous reminder.... Subhanallah.

Yes, technology has a good side too. There was a time when I was addicted to Facebook. I had an fb friend on my friend list,who always insisted people on praying Tahajjud. I started praying Tahajjud, whenever I was hurt and didn't get sleep. But gradually tahajjud became my habit and a farz for me. 2 years back, I uninstalled FB, and overcame my addiction to it as well.

I hate the idea that I’ll probably be talking bad about others. It literally can be anything from them sharing their daily life, wealth, happiness or even sadness. I wish that people could talk face to face more often than depending on a medium. Most of the time, words can be a reason of a fight.

I got into an argument with my dear muslim friend/sister because I was complaining about it and she said 'you can't complain about every little thing. You can't change the world!' but I wasn't being negative or whingy but just to express my digust that these girls call themselves Muslims and wear their islamic clothing yet on every other tiktok I see a young muslim girl miming along to rap songs with profanity, pouting with big glossy lips, shaking thier hips and more. Not to metnion the expensive items they boast about including cars! The boys are doing it too!. My sin is that I watch them. I am jsut as bad as them. Even though I don't participate in the behaviour nor I am a sinner for judging. MAy Allah protect, forgive and guide me to stop being affected by others and focus on myself. Can I please request your prayers brothers and sisters? I have an extreme case of insomnia, I can't sleep AT ALL. Medications aren't even working. I'm 35, have two daughters aged 3 and 6. I do not know what to do, I just don't feel sleepy at all and that's affecting my life and those around me in so many ways. Please, your prayers is all I'm asking for. JazakAllah.
I'll pray for you. :) Also, what do you think the reason is? It could be something quite simple. Maybe you should excersise more, or avoid using tecnonolgy at least two hours before you go to bed? These things help a lot!

I had acute insomnia in January due to stress.. doctors ended up giving me 'Antipsychotics'.. when I stopped taking them antipsychotics after 2 months, I've been left with complete insomnia. Now even medications don't even help cause these antipsychotics have altered the chemical balance in my brain. I do not have any history of any mental illnesses.. these antipsychotics are dangerous and should never be given for any form of insomnia.

Instead of comparing yourself with people who are better off, you must look to the lives of people more unfortunate that you. There is always someone who suffers more than you. Masha Allah see how you explained so eloquently, Allah has given you a good education. You were able to type this message, Allah gave you hands, eye sight and intelligence. And see how you made Dua, Allah guided you to depend on Him. Do not forget, the hardest battles are given to his best soldiers.
Everyone has different tests, some are tested with ease and some with difficulties. The point is the outcome of this test. If you ended up getting closer to Allah than your friends who have "everything", then alas you are the one who is successful, and those who had ease but drifted away from Allah are surely among the losers.
You see my dear sister, the problem lies in the way you think and not in your life. If you cannot change your life, then change yourself. Take conscious steps towards change and Allah will make it easy for you.

Can I please request your prayers brothers and sisters? I have an extreme case of insomnia, I can't sleep AT ALL. Medications aren't even working. I'm 35, have two daughters aged 3 and 6. I do not know what to do, I just don't feel sleepy at all and that's affecting my life and those around me in so many ways. Please, your prayers is all I'm asking for. JazakAllah.
I'll pray for you. :) Also, what do you think the reason is? It could be something quite simple. Maybe you should excersise more, or avoid using tecnonolgy at least two hours before you go to bed? These things help a lot!

I had acute insomnia in January due to stress.. doctors ended up giving me 'Antipsychotics'.. when I stopped taking them antipsychotics after 2 months, I've been left with complete insomnia.
Now even medications don't even help cause these antipsychotics have altered the chemical balance in my brain.
I do not have any history of any mental illnesses.. these antipsychotics are dangerous and should never be given for any form of insomnia.

I read this online: Sayyidna Khalid (Allah be pleased with him) suffered from insomnia and The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him and grant him peace) suggested that he should recite the following prayer before going to bed:
اَعُوذ بِکَلِمَاتِ اللہِ التَّامَّۃِ مِن غضَبِ اللہِ وَعِقَابِہٖ وَمِن شَرِّ عِبَادِہٖ وَمِن ھَمَزٰتِ الشَّیٰطِینِ وَاَن یَّحضُرُونِ
I seek refuge with Allah’s Perfect Words from Allah’s wrath and His punishment, and from the evils of His slaves, and from the promptings of the Shayateen and from that they come to me .
Sayyidna Khalid (Allah be pleased with him) did as advised and was soon cured of insomnia
