Hands down, my 2 favorite Inks are Sailor and Troublemaker Inks. I actually bought the entire 103 colors of the Sailor ink studio inks. There where 3 Inks that they changed, so I have the originals and the new replacements. I also have all of these Sailor ink series... they are the absolute best to make art with. The chromatography is so wild and AMAZING when you use them on 100% cotton watercolor paper wet on wet. I also actually dye wood and even leather with these inks as well! If I use them to dye leather, i add some denatured alcohol, or pure ethanol and some deionized H20... and they separate and shade into veg tan leather! I make my own custom paint brush handles, small display racks for Art supplies, leather working tools, and a bunch of other stuff for my studio and Bindery. It seperates BEAUTIFULLY when it soaks into the grain of hardwoods! Then I put a bunch of UV protective layers, then I coat it in resin or High gloss varnish in super thick layers. So it looks like it's coated in glass. These inks are absolutely amazing to play around with! I wish they were lightfast, I would use them as backrounds and things like that. Anyways, sorry for the rant lol. Thanks for sharing and have a great one 😀

Wow, I had not thought to use the sailor inks in so many ways! So creative! Does the uv coating work to keep them from fading?

I feel your dilemma. I have more than I could possibly use in a life time and I empty about three bottles a year. Storage isn’t infinite, but yet I still get a new bottle or two every second or third month. Sometimes the temptation is just too much.

I buy few bottles of ink, but I am still ink sample-crazy. Sailor Manyo Nadeshiko is one of the inks that decided to get a bottle of when I used up the sample.
I have also been trying to reduce the number of pens I buy since I now have too many to 'cycle through' like I used to. But of course, I keep giving in. Someone has an exclusive somewhere that is finally in a color I want or a limited pen comes out and I know I have to jump on it if I like it enough to add to my collection.
I really hate the exclusive and limited edition chase. There have been several pens that I really wanted, but I had to ( 🎵'Frozen' 🎶) "Let it go," and pass on them.

Although I do love the handturned pens, I've been trying to only buy a new pen if it offers something "new" like an innovative design or nib. It's tough. I'm trying to avoid the limited edition chase myself.

Man, Sailor makes some lovely inks. That Kikyou is gorgeous. I get excited when I finish up a sample bottle, much less a full bottle. I mainly use inks in line and wash now, so I’m into pigmented waterproof inks. My non waterproof inks I’m using for sketching too, hitting them with a wet brush.

I have approximately 15 fountain pens and 13 bottles of ink (and ~30 ink samples) and I feel a little anxious about it 😅. Time to reign it in for me as well.

I'm going to miss your ink swatches...but I do understand what happens when we feel we just can't do more. Good luck! :)

I feel ya I have tons of ink but always want to try different ink. I'm trying to use up what I have but man these ink makers sure make tempting inks. I found 2 inks I can't live without and it's Sailor Ink Studio 123 and diamine ancient copper. I wish they would make a bigger bottle of 123. I do love ink Studio 224 as well. It's an honorable mention. Lol.

Love NAdeshiko, but Shirakashi was a complete letdown. I expected far more brown instead of the murky green it presented.
May pick up "Sailor - 50 States - Georgia" to replace it.
