A few months ago I read an article by some dumbass who claimed that synthwave will die because it is only a product of the memories of people who experienced 80s and perhaps 90s as children. I was born in 1989 yet this is the FIRST genre that I'm actually into. Synthwave forever. Going to book my flight to Japan, rent out a lambo, and cruise the midnight streets of Tokyo while listening to this. All I need from this life.
Nov. 1988 born here. It was being said about all kinds of music: Punk's not dead (he's sleeping), Goth subculture has receded, but it may not be completely dead and while Hip Hop is more mainstream nowadays than say Metal, the latter is pretty much alive. A musician doing Steampunk Rock-Jazz-Ska hybrid may dabble in Synthwave.
It's nice to be in this little outsider niche group. The Synthwave community has a lot of passion for its work as you can see by the plethora of beautiful music. I would hope to see this stuff hit mainstream but I also dread that day. I know the mainstream's tendency to take masterful works of art such as this and then morph it into some kind of freak of mainstream crap.
Synthwave is the Future. We heard the Future coming more than 40 years before it arrived...and it continues to echo the into future like ripples on water reaching ever farther out into the unknown, beyond.

People, we all love synthwave because it allows us to reach out the past while thinking about a brighter better future, with a lot of new, exciting emotions running through like the light waves on the picture of this video. That's why we love it so very much!
Just spent an hour nursing an overwhelmed mail relay back to health, after it got slammed by a misconfigured Outlook rule and OOM-killed the Postfix process. Now I get to spend the next hour watching the deferred email queue stabilize, while listening to this. It's going to be a good hour.
Legit cybernetics, thoughts have been transmitted brain to brain across the internet, flying cars shown at CES, electric self driving cars, VR, AI, Sex Robots, lasers in everyday applications, private space industry, private militaries, corporations owning governments, wireless networked computers in your pocket, environmental collapse. It's all there. The fashion sense might be slightly askew, but it's there. And right on schedule.
Synthwave takes my gaming to the next level. Who wants to listen to clicky guns and smashing noises. It cures rage and gets you in rythmn. Recommended!
Do you know anything about the band Siebenstein? I just loved the song The Drive, but the link to the channel is not working and I can't seem to find them anywhere. Thank you!
Playing Fallout (any of them, basically) while listening to this shit is epic. Fallout 4 has Synthstream Mod Radio with a really funny DJ voice actor (I presume the mod maker). A lot of classics now in synstream (I love Gunship and recognize a few of theirs)
Amazing, thanks!! 🧡 Btw Thanatos, pardon my ignorance, but what happened to that awesome 80’s cop livestream? It was one of my favorite live streams ever, but now it seems to be gone :c whenever I was in the mood for synthwave I would pop in and chill 🎶
i cant believe decade defactor did the kavinsky thing with the voice... like yes all the synthwave is similar, and we r not consciously tryin to copy.. but that one... just vox, was kinda cringe... anyway, amazing channel big fan
I used my hardware Digitech Talker for that. It's what Daft Punk used for their earlier records and since Guy of Daft Punk produced Nightcall I would say it's a good bet it was used on Nightcall but I'm not for sure. Also, Nightcall definitely has a layer of white noise mixed in with it. Anyways, I have no regrets, I love that sound and no other vocal effects box comes close! HOME uses one as well.
@@champ8288 I can't give you an exact song but he created a reddit post in the past talking about how he picked up a couple of them for use in his music! He also was obsessed with the clear/articulate vocoder sound that Daft Punk was able to achieve.
@@DecadeDefector yikes,,, yeah I never liked Daft Punk,. but I respect them as musicians and their effect on the progression of the art... you too as well man, I kno i criticized the vox but... i mean dude yer clearly a quality musician... also, tho, HOME man... Synthtiseur can't die . There's no end for that music .
True, I'm from 1994 and I feel like this music brings me back to a past I never lived but I should have lived

Is about to his mainstream. Blinding lights has synths and The Weeknd is dropping a album with a lot of synth
Caleb Tynes maybe synth wave will break the mainstream and set is forward into a future free on fake af bs. 💫🪐
Yes let us stay underground screw the algorithm.

I think your mail server was singing to you when 'Cyberstalker' plays.
Friendly reminder:
We live in an early cyberpunk age.

Very nice, most of these are artists I don't know, and that's rare! Keep supporting undiscovered synthwavers!
GATEWAY is awesomely one dope track pure 80s synwave done
I can already see this morning is going to suck a lot less....
What happened to the live streams?
This synthwave mix inspired me and I made my own synthwave cover for "Nsync - Bye Bye Bye" ))) It's awesome! That melodies are ever-living!
I'm really enjoying this mix in particular. All of your other ones are great too, but this is really clicking with me.
A new chill tunes to listen to whilst working.

Picture reminds me of the Game Distance, which had flying cars, a tron esque world, and some pretty fire synth sounds. Give it a try sometime!
Thanks for the mix, Prime. The link in your description for Siebenstein's UA-cam page doesn't work. Where can we find their music?
tremenda música, en el trabajo la escucho siempre... gracias por los aportes
These track are perfect to listen to on my vacation.
