I can't believe Jerry is being so senselessly hateful at a time like this. It's not like HE'S been much of a father to Jackson, and I truly resent him for what he said to Paddy about that. I also can't believe that he would tell Aaron to never come near his son again. That's just downright evil.
you know....10 000 ppl could tell Aaron that he's amazing, and it would take one person telling him he's crap for him to believe that and hate himself more... :(
Synopsis: As Jackson remains in a coma Aaron admits to Hazel and Jerry (Jackson's father) that he has no self-esteem and while he loves Jackson, he can't believe that Jackson could ever really love someone as troublesome and worthless as Aaron.
@ETSINTERIORS assert his right to be there because Jackson loves him and he loves Jackson. I just hope he comes to this realization sooner rather than later. With an ass of a father like Jerry, Jackson will need all the support he can get.
Not that this man (Jerry) has any soul, but he may be lashing out at Aaron because of his miserable display of fatherhood to Jackson. From what I gather, Jerry has never been in Jackson's life at all except for the time he needed help at age 3. He is using this tragic accident as his way of getting in the good graces of Hazel and his son. Lashing out at Aaron may make him the needed father, but he just comes acoss as a complete phony. His track record as a father is poor at best.
It's not about Jacksons dad. He wants Aaron there and that's all that matters. Yes he's his dad but his son loves Aaron. He shouldn't care about anything else. It was good that Aaron came back to be with him and ignored his dad. It's Jackson who loves him. Bet Hazel didn't always think Aaron was good for her son yet she accepted Aaron and saw he made Jackson happy. And that was what mattered
@JESSJUSTJESS She got drunk one night slumming in the Manchester docks and woke up with Jerry beside her bed. Leaving a ten pound note she skived off, thinking she'd never hear from him (and good riddance to the chav.) On the pleasant news of impending motherhood she planned out her life with Jackson and life was beautiful until Jackson needed an organ transplant at 3 years old. Hazel'd no choice but to contact Jerry in order to find donor matches. He was embittered by the news of a son...
Jacksons father sounded cruel but he did love Jackson deep down. He just didn't approve of his lifestyle. His mother did. Paddy isn't no one. He was a better dad than Aaron's dad. Way better. Aaron loved Jackson but his past made it hard for him to say he loved him. And he had every right to be there. Jackson asked for him as soon as he woke up. He loved his parents but he loved Aaron too. They can't tell Aaron he shouldn't be there. If they were married, he'd have more right than anyone else to be.
Jesus Christ, Jackson's father is full of hatred; he's just showed and he's already spreading fear, sadness and guiltness as he walks. Aaron's state of mind and soul is a mess at this moment, but I really hope he snapps out of it ASAP: his place is at Jackson's side, he totally needs the man he loves...
Why Jerry and some people on here havent picked up on is how the hell can it be Aarons fault he wasnt in the Van he didnt hold Jacksons hand and make him pick the phone up (or drop it for that matter), Jackson did all that by himself! Yes Aaron was on the other end of the phone but Jackson could have stopped.... it isnt even jacksons fault really it was all just a silly mistake that has had dreadful consiquences!
Just hope we dont have to wait for ever for Jackson to wake up :( that would seriously sadden me. I am hopeing for a wakey wakey this month.. but if it goes like it is showing now that would seriously be crappy
@JESSJUSTJESS (I'm so glad all comment responses hit my email!) I"m aware of the statistics - especially in my home city where hate crimes have hit the news much more often than in prior years. I'm not entirely convinced that part of it isn't better reporting standards or lessened fears of police persecution in investigating the victims of these crimes, but violent crime appears to have increased significantly regardless of statistical issues. While Canada's lagging (more)
Here in America there was i recent court decision..There was an accident where the boyfriend answered his girlfriends text message..He cut off the left legs of two people on a motorcycle ..The judge said she was not at fault !!! It was his decision not hers..
@JESSJUSTJESS Hey, spend your life hating what and who you are, you'll accept anything from anyone that makes the feeling stronger. With Jackson Aaron is out of his comfort zone; with Jerry he's right back where he feels he belongs.
Donation of sperm does not make one a father. You actually have to be a part of the person's life. A true father does not despise his child just because he does not do or is not what he would wish him to be. A true father offers love and support even whilst not understanding the decisions his child makes. I do feel for Hazel, knowing she should inform him of the accident, despite the poison he would bring to the situation. I feel confident that Aaron will go back to the hospital and he will...
@VoxNocturn true but as a Parent myself.. I would still at least want to know. It is hard.. but He still needed to know. Yes this is a soap opera where the writers can write what they please BUT!!! this i agree.. i don't like any more than you all do. I think Chaz meeting him might be interesting to watch. or Rather.. the whole town getting behind these boys and Hazel :D
@jodezak I am happy to call you friend. I sometimes take for granted life in general and know i got everythign at the tips of my fingers being in that straight relationship but, I do see that not everything is peaches and cream. There are many liberties you all now have yes but I agree with you Jess.. There are still more hurdles for you all to go through and I would count it an honor to be your friend through it all.
@JESSJUSTJESS I am proud of all of you who in a gay relationship for all the trial you endure. You all have issues that go beyond the norm and I commend you for all the ridicule you go through. i know it can't be easy to deal with that. yes I am ina straight relationship for 20 years but i have a new found repsect for those of you that have made it work. Relationships are hard enough in this world but I am just saying ...
@Merima1978 I agree.. I think in the respect Paddy should have taken a stronger role and been a bit more of a father than a mate. He could have been a bit firmer in his actions. He is still a good mate but right now Aaron doesn't need a mate.. he needs a fahter and Jackson. He needs someone to show him how to give a damn back as Jackson and paddy gives him
you know.. for some odd reason.. the voice of Jerry so reminds me of a character on Pirates of teh carebean. Do we know if he was in that movie? He sounds so like one of them!
@nightobeisance @JESSJUSTJESS PS: I can marry a person from another country if I choose, and live apart until immigration was granted - we don't have universal entry for spouses of straight canadians either. PPS: I'd respond to the churches: what culture? This mosaic? The one you haven't controlled effectively for 100+ years? feh. PPPS: Native Canadians: at least we let some of ours live without fighting them. Oh, yeah. Sorry about that white house. The rebuild looks good.
OMG i would shoot myself if i had a father-in-law like that. He is such an asshole...like seriously?! how can you just stand there seeing that adorable face shed tears like that....seeing him like that broke my heart...bravo danny bravo!
@JESSJUSTJESS well.. we could have treated him like aaron treated chaz... why call her she can't do anything.. just let her know what is going on.. :( like that comment was any better. I really think Paddy was trying hard to be a father figure here but i think at this point he is being more a mate
The whole who is responsible thing is on one level daft, but on another a real issue; it makes me angry every time I see someone using their mobile/cell phone whilst driving. ajust thought i'd throw that one into the debate. Great acting once again. Jerry is an ass; takes good acting to portray one so well.
@nightobeisance @JESSJUSTJESS We'll continue our slow march toward universal freedom and respect in this country, and I, for one, am never going back into a closet no matter who tells me I'm unnatural. Closets are for clothes. And the occasional toy.
I dont like you Jerry, i get your upset, but cant you see so is Aaron, its not his fault Jackson crashed, even though Aaron is blaming himself. If he was going to answer that phone like it looked like he was, he should of pulled over and stop his van. Doesn't mean i think Jackson deserves this, because I dont.
@Jendall1 * looks at jendall and hopes there is one for me too :( Waiting patiently isn't my strong suit HAHA! and Only Hope this week brings SOME sort of happyness.. Like AAron sees Jackson and tells him he loves him or hugs him or kisses him Or all 3? hmm anyone ?? haha
@JESSJUSTJESS Yes I agree. that did my heart good to see the writers actually show the motherly side and push them together. However when i saw Jerry acting up.. I was like.. MAN What a dirtbag! * and then i wanted to slap him haha
@mjburn5 Do you need glasses because you certainly haven't been watching the same show we have. A careful assessment reveals that this is a true to life representation of the circumstances and as such Danny Miller has done a excellent job in bringing the character to life and building the connection we now have. The concept of an accident is that it is unplanned, unexpected and not purposefully caused. Go spew your venom somewhere else. This fandom doesn't need it.
@mjburn5 what in the world does Aaron being scripted to say 'im sorry' have to do with Danny's great acting? And how cozy are you on that high horse of yours?
@JESSJUSTJESS I've led a sheltered life and have never needed a parka. Now, a nice Burberry coat - that's a different issue. The "First Nations" claim a title that ensures a controlling or separatist response; I'd much rather we were all just Canadians. As for the winter olympics - did you catch the phallic ice/light towers?
@nightobeisance @JESSJUSTJESS in its leadership on human rights issues this last couple of years (Conservative/Religious biased government) I maintain that the largest influences that detract from our progressive nature are external media influences. The same televangelists and freaks of nature protesting the unnatural homosexuals in their midst are heard here - and I believe their effect can be stronger among the conservative, simply due to our nation's progressiveness. (more)
@mjburn5 Freedom of speech yes.. But that was pure negativity and yes I agree with Vox on this.. you aren Jerry sound alike. No that wasn't a compliment :( Jackson didn't have to answer that phone but he did becuase he loved him.
@JESSJUSTJESS uhm,,, a typically poor English person that is a nuisance to society and goes around causing trouble. They typically wear rebok trousers and berghaus coats and a cap and very rarely have showers !
seeing the man cry, my heart truly meltid
Makes you wonder if the big secret about Jerry is that he was abusive towards Jackson and maybe Hazel.
Just to say thnx so much for posting. Great work so others abroad can enjoy it.
Sheer and utter RIDICULOUSNESS with the Dad, so over the top!
I can't believe Jerry is being so senselessly hateful at a time like this. It's not like HE'S been much of a father to Jackson, and I truly resent him for what he said to Paddy about that. I also can't believe that he would tell Aaron to never come near his son again. That's just downright evil.
The soap opera wheel is in motion again!!! Bring in the drama baby!
you know....10 000 ppl could tell Aaron that he's amazing, and it would take one person telling him he's crap for him to believe that and hate himself more... :(

Question: What is a "chav?"
@JESSJUSTJESS I totally agree! I can't imagine Hazel falling for such a low-life....
Aaron is a jerk for just leaving Jackson at the hospital without him.
@VoxNocturn

@JESSJUSTJESS I've met him before in the guise of my own parental unit. "Father" is ever an entitlement, not a responsibility.
Uh, no.
@bigdancd
only thing is.. this isn't going to get in Hazels and his sons good side if he pushes Aaron away as well.
@JESSJUSTJESS I am proud of all of you who in a gay relationship for all the trial you endure. welcome to the board
welcome to the Hate Jerry Club..
Glad to have ya ;-)

@HupuTupuLupu Well you have a point sure, but I think this character is so crude and OTT that it undermines it for me.
@nightobeisance @JESSJUSTJESS
Oh, and regarding that parka: nope. Mid-winter often finds me still wearing t-shirts and spandex.
I ROAST in summer.
@SainterX
ok ya i was wondering that too..
here in the states we call that a vagrant
@deezxc exactly! it is not about him.
@Jendall1
* looks at jendall and hopes there is one for me too :(
Waiting patiently isn't my strong suit HAHA!
and Only Hope this week brings SOME sort of happyness..

@Genral48
Ill join your club in a second ;-). I will bring cookies and then we can all frown at jerry and hate him. Damn you Jerry!!!
@SexyBear41 Good one...I couldn't agree with you more!
@JESSJUSTJESS And why some children hatchet their parents into tiny little pieces.
@JESSJUSTJESS
I can't wait for the Jerry Chas Meeting.. Or Jerry verses the Town for that matter. haha
He wont know what hit him :P

Wow Jackson's dad didn't even say much and I was just ARGGHHHH FCKK UUUU the entire time. Ehm...I don't think that I like him.
Poor Aaron.
