Brazilian football has been utterly destabilized via corporatism, cronyism and greed. The CFB continues to erode the development and soul of the Brazilian aesthetic domestically with the indiscriminate wholesale exportation of any semblance of young talent to Europe before they are permitted to develop. Nike’s latest iteration of the national team kit looks to be a poor mishmash of beachwear and Disney.
It's not that they're not permitted to develop. They sell them to the Euro teams for a lot of money and get a significant percentage. So they pump out these "superstar" players that aren't experienced enough. Nor have they show their talent on different levels of competition outside the Brazilian framework
The problem with Brazil is that european footbal "washes players". This Brasil has EUROPE written all over it. They dont dribble, they are cold when playing, just passing around the ball with no real depth. The Brazilian midfield is a washing machine of possesion recyclers with no real flair. I was watching the EURO and pressing is non existent in several teams, and they play so slow. Brazil was never that. A couple of days ago, the panel mostly claimed there should be extra time because it would mean people played harder, yet most of the Euro quarters were also 0-0 or 1-1 ties. All that happened in those games is the winners are more tired for the next game. Straight to penalties makes sense.
Just a quick reminder about a truly great player: Rivaldo played in three tournaments, and he won two and reached the final in the other one. He was in the all star team on each ocassion. A truly great no.10 for Brazil.
I don’t know why he keeps starting Raphinha. Savio clearly looks better each and every time. Martinelli would’ve also been a better option on the left… put Rodrygo in the middle. Get rid of Paqueta, he’s absolutely useless
Brazil has very good individual players and I am a great fan . But I am sick of them not accomplishing as a group due to lack of creativity and courage
As a Brazilian, I can say this with all fairness: it’s a socio-cultural problem. Brazil is nothing but a narcissistic society plummeting into oblivion. All those players follow the same path. The Brazilian Federation is sponsored by narco-traffickers (PCC and Red Command). Money laundering plays a role in this. The entire society is corrupted, and that, of course, influences our perception of soccer teams in Brazil. This is not the first time, and it won’t be the last. These players have no psychological condition to take on their duties as players, much less their responsibilities on the field. They don’t play collectively; they play for status and money. I don’t blame them. They are forced to follow an agenda crafted by corrupt politicians and narcos. Many have been harassed and intimidated by organized crime in Brazil. Some are even forced to play poorly and fail in their matches so Powerball bet scammers can take their share. Now they are trying to put the blame on the coach, who, by the way, is one of the most victorious coaches in Brazil in the last 20 years. It’s not a coach issue; it’s the collective of mercenaries and pseudo-pop stars who still believe in the brainwashed propaganda of Brazil being the best in the world. This era is over, but it is still profitable to sell the agenda to a collapsing society with no leaders nor a decent government.

Neymar was and is the last true football entertainer. You can hate him all you want and even though he didn't win much with Brazil for various reasons, you can never question his desire, mentality and dedication when he put on a Brazil shirt. Numbers wise, obviously he's the best in history for Brazil (goals and assists), but also chances creating, intricate plays, 1vs1 and many other aspects of the game. Right now, Brazil have great players, but no one of Neymar, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo caliber. The game is becoming more dull than ever and on top of that, Brazil aren't even more effective..
Most of these International tournaments are terrible. No cohesion on the teams, no scoring, just awful. How many times are they going to go to penalty kicks? Both Copa America and the Euros.
I think it's cause there's too many matches in club football now. It feels like players are phoning in performances for their national teams more often.
That’s why international football is difficult. You have to play with players from different clubs that play different styles of football. Sometimes you’d have to play out of position
The quality of modern day football players has decreased dramatically over the last 20 years. There isn't a single world class player anywhere in the world today, which is why the media has to hype up average players like Vinicius Jr., Mbappe, and Bellingham.

Uruguay did a man down what the US couldn’t. It shows the wide gulf between the US and the elite, as well the incompetent tactics of Gregg Berhalter.
Weah got a red card in the 18th minute. Nandez got his in the 74th minute. Playing a man down for 16 minutes is a lot easier than playing a man down 72 minutes, not including both stoppage times. USMNT played bad the whole Copa America but that’s not the same thing.

I liked the refereeing in this game. The referee let the game flow. Typical South American game. Unlike in Europe where they blow for almost everything nowadays.
Agreed. It's a very difficult match to ref and he did a decent job.
I agree the only improvements I'd make is more punishment for simulation and tactical fouls and I still think they sometimes allow soft penalties but I agree that in Europe they've been giving much softer fouls
and they wont even give cards. kroos was supposed to get red cards by 26th minute and he played full game
Brazil doesn’t have one single world class player. Neymar always injured. Vinicius is too inconsistent for Brazil. Rodrygo is not good enough and no good experienced striker….Danilo at RB? This is the worse Brazil team I’ve seen.

When Alison has more passes than some of your midfielders, what can you expect?
Brazilian football has been utterly destabilized via corporatism, cronyism and greed. The CFB continues to erode the development and soul of the Brazilian aesthetic domestically with the indiscriminate wholesale exportation of any semblance of young talent to Europe before they are permitted to develop. Nike’s latest iteration of the national team kit looks to be a poor mishmash of beachwear and Disney.
😂😂😂 they reached the last two copa Americas
Brasil was direct, in your face, dribling and passing trying to score as much as possible.
